Best tennis page on UA-cam… I’ve LITERALLY learned how to play because of this page… I’m now a 3.5 player starting from scratch 4 months ago at the age of 50. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I've been player 47 years and I agree with you that this site is one of the better UA-cam channels for tennis instruction. There are some bad tennis coaches on UA-cam too but this channel is solid. When I learned to play 47 years ago, the internet didn't exist. I dedicated about 6 months to trying to rebuild my strokes from a solid instruction book and it helped me enormously. The book had stop action photos showing all the strokes and it was a great help.
In my experience, the most important tip is the footwork to become a consistent tennis player and reduce the unforced errors.I ensure that I am constantly on my toes and bouncing around between rallies, which makes my game ultra consistent .Lazy feet are the breeding ground for unforced errors .
Basically this is how i won my first tournament at 3.5 - 4.0 level, being consistent as hell. As you said, hitting winners is tempting but it is going to lose you more matches than not. Don't get me wrong, i've got a solid FH technique and a decent slice BH, but i focused on not to overhit specially my FH, cause i am not used to hit with a lot of pace, so that would end like you said, in a break down of my stroke, so i just focused on hitting with a 7 out of 10 pace most of the time even on the approach shots, that way i was able to finish more points at the net
Ummm...just being captain obvious here but your 1.5 serve has massive kick Simon! I need to look back at your kick serve lesson because it's a favorite. Thank you for another great TTT lesson!
What strings and tension are you using? Amazing how much topspin you’re getting with eastern grip. I’m thinking of switching to semi western to get some extra topspin and net clearance. My topspin shots are pretty flat using eastern grip.
Simon, what's the best ball machine from your experience? I'm looking for longevity and reliability. Spending less initially sometimes costs more in the long run. Thank you.
I think Hydrogen Proton is the best right now. I have spinshot player and love it, I use my Apple Watch to control it. Proton is very convenient and light to carry around. Lobster and Spinfire are also very reliable but you need to choose the right model.
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Thank you, Simon. Nice looking machine. That's why you're a pro. Your feedback is always well received. I was a solid 4.5 many years ago. I need a machine now more than ever. However, at 70, I need to be in the price range of $2,100 USD max. Best always!
@Amsfxyz Thank you, sir. Any model recommendations on the Lobster and Spinfire. Any experience, good or bad, with the Tennis Tutor? My price range is $2,100 USD max. Thank you.
@@thomasc4777 Tennis tutor plus player model is good but with remote it’ll be more than $2100, Lobster, Proton or Spinshot will be a better option. Whatever machine you get make sure it has topspin feature at least and independent controls for speed and spin. Slingshot speed depends on spin which gets tricky. I’d honestly get Hydrogen Proton as it’s very light with lithium battery and every option. Otherwise Lobster elite 3 is great and you can get it for under $2100 with the code ZANE5. Lobster will come with a dedicated remote and proton would need a phone and you can control it with your Apple watch, in case you have one.
Very interesting tennis class, Simon! I apreciate it! Some years ago, I had to learn a bit to play with mi left arm, including the serve... Your dog is adorable! 😊❤
Thats correct, almost never get used. There are some nice clay courts about an hour from me but they’re always fully booked and the venue charges $40 per hour just for the court. Extortionate

You absolutely nailed it describing a player with a killer shots but in the same time is very inconsistent. Great lesson indeed, thanks 🙏

這影片真好~👍
Tank you
My pleasure 🙏
Is the slider serve the same as a slice?
Normally a slider will be extreme slice

I use an unknown poly brand and string normally between 40-42 lbs

The best machine I’ve ever used was the shotmaker, mains powered. I owned one for 5 years growing up and it helped me improve massively

How to spin tennis 🎾 coach one video 😂 stylish 1..😮❤
Vamos 💪
OMG, this guy can even hit a lefty one hand backhand😲
I decided to demonstrate consistency with all my arsenal 😂
He’s ambidextrous, there’s other videos of him hitting Lefty forehand and righty forehand, I can’t recall if Simon can serve Lefty though
I serve lefty too. Nothing like my right hand. I’ve currently got tendinitis in my right wrist so I’ve been playing lefty for a week or so
Very interesting tennis class, Simon! I apreciate it!

Your dog is adorable! 😊❤
Thank you 🙏
Apollo and Leon say woof 🐶
Video vetted and approved.
- Apollo, probably 🐕
The main critics of my lessons 😂
is consistency important for pro tennis player???
100% it’s important
Okay but WHAT IS THE DOG'S NAME?!
Apollo (tiger stripes) and Leon the lion
Excellent video. However, that may be the worst court I have ever seen 😂
😂 it’s up there for sure. I started tennis on a football field back in 1990, it’s on par with that field
It's probably why he can film on it without getting interrupted😂
