Aaron Aaron you great man continue to make these videos and we will support you and join your podcast love you man.
A minor quibble. He would not have been a "Loo-tenant" in the 57th but a "Lef-tenant".
Where do you find these amazing stories? Yet another excellent video 👌

legend has it that the victims of this man came up with the phrase "too good to be true"
I would have asked, "If your country is already so prosperous, then why do you need money from outsiders?" You can't get scammed unless you allow it.
So , Gregor was 18th century crypto enthusiast.
You really have great speaking skills. Natural Talent 🤗
This is a really cool story. However i do question him being the reason of the financial crash.
I could listen to your lovely voice forever. You have a cute face to go with it especially as you have a moustache. This aside, the contents of your channel are exceptional with amazing graphics. 👏 👏👏
Great story, excellently told
16:50 even Harrison Ford struggled after trying to sell ice cubes to the locals
The greatest bait and switch of all time! 😂
I am a decendant of McGregor in Australia. I'm a prince, a viceroy and a decorated field marshal.
So basically, this guy was the 19th century version of Anna Delvey.
I'm moving to Poyais.

Will Bread and Circuses ever be on audible? I really enjoyed stick a flag in it. I actually got audible just for it and have been using it since. But I hope he can get the new book on there I can't be bothered to read it after all. lol
No worse than the scammers today. People will always want something for next to nothing.
On the background of what is happening in Ukraine today, I think this video is showing something very important - that those, who promise good life in new lands in emigration, are often not those who are believing it... Many NGO activists even in my country, Bulgaria, say, that Ukrainians are going to be well, once they have emigrated to the EU during this Russian war, but is it really going to be well, I just wonder about this!
No matter, they'll make useful low paid labour for the boss class,... while they promote all this as "diversity"
Obviously they will have some troubles, but they should be able to settle relatively well at least compared to the non-european refugees
@@thursoberwick1948 Yeah... I highly doubt anybody is going to see a bunch of people emigrating into countries basically next to eachother being about "diversity".
In the business, this man could be described as an "Absolute Madlad"
The best scammer I have ever seen. Truly a genius.
Your storytelling skills are amazing. Subscribed.
I love your historical videos! Could you do one on Agatha Christie’s famous disappearance, do you think? That would be really interesting
Yes! Good shout. No one seems to know if it was a publicity stunt or not.
Well staying at a nice hotel under the name of your Husband's Mistress is interesting but not sure it would make a great video.
I love your videos theyre awesome and full of information.
He put much effort into making it sound real that, honestly, he deserves(ed) the money that he made.
I have been watching your videos for a while now but I haven’t finished a single one because I always fall asleep to your videos
My guy changed his name and status more then I change my gamer tag 😂

8:00 Looks like MacGregor was the old school Muhammad Ali. He knew how to say he was the greatest before actually backing it up.
Very well connected, knew who to marry and when, very good timing. Yet when it came time to perform, boy o boy did he! Leading charges and armies into battle isn't something you just do without ability. This guy had substance behind his bravado.
Forcing thousands of men to charge a battlefield isn't bravado, it's machismo.
British Honduras is now Belize . My beloved country . My homeland by the sea.
This guy made NFTs before NFTs were a thing. DAMN
Hey, is Thoughty2 there? Are you still doing RIF? Always a fan of all the uploads. Take care!
