@@high16200 I had COVID in late November through December. Got it, and then starting feeling better then it came back worse than ever. I’m actually good now and just testing the products I bought late November now. Reviews will be out this weekend

Do you know if the Fiio can output audio via USB and still charge at all ?
I was hoping to set up a Helix DSP to do automatic source switching between an optical headunit source and a Fiio Coaxial source. But the Helix can only do this it seems with a digital source and a HEC card (unless I used low level rca output from my headunit).
I was thinking if I could get a Fiio feeding a usb HEC Card I may be able to have the auto source switching to go back to my headunit for nav prompts/phonecalls when listening to a Fiio.
But if I can't also charge the Fiio at the same time I'll have to come up with another solution yet again.

No, the Hec card won’t charge the FiiO and it won’t sound nearly as good anyway via USB, not even close.
The best way to do it when using both optical and coaxial digital is to just use one of the Helix controllers, either the Director or Conductor or one of their other ones depending on your budget and preference and space.
I don’t have coaxial input in my Helix V8 MK 2 . Do have experience using the optical input
I have my PAC Amp Pro hooked up to my optical input of my Helix DSP Ultra. Most of the products I have did reviews on have optical outputs except the FiiO DAP’s

I use the PAC Audio Amp Pro with the toslink into my Helix DSP Ultra. Currently I’m running the factory speaker wires unit I install the mids then I’ll change all the speaker wire.
Hello Dave. Would it be possible for the M11S to read and play songs from an external source, say a USB flash drive, connected to an USB-C adapter?
I have always just used the micro SD Cards with all the FiiO DAP’s.
Any guide with wavelet autoeq?
Also I've notice if your wifi router has auto dual band switching 2.4/5gz it kept disconnecting anyone experience this?
I have only used WiFi for downloading music and never had any issues with any of the FiiO DAP’s. I would also turn off auto band switching as that seems pointless to me.
Can I access the storage in the FiiO M11S on a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate OS? Do I need to install a driver? Would that work on such an out-of-date Windows OS? I am a newbie on this DAPs stuff. Please help me.

Hey i just bought one today and watched your guide a few times but one thing i wonder about is it normal for the battery to drain really fast when you get it? i think i lost 20% of the battery just using it for about 45 min and setting everything up so i was using it pretty heavily but still is 20% loss normal?
I was never concerned about batteries in DAP’s as I have always just used them in my vehicle or in my office and if it was low I just charged it. I can see if someone was walking around with it or taking it to a gym or whatever then battery life would be a big deal.
It’s not really any different from an iPhone 13,14,15 they drain quickly if you’re using it. I have an iPhone 14 for work and the battery life goes pretty quick. The M17 I think out of FiiO’s DAPs have lasted the longest but then again it’s the biggest.
@@CarAudioHorizons Seems like the battery needed to be used before it started to hold a longer change, i have been using the M11S over the weekend and the drain is much slower now

I haven’t heard the Hiby R6 Pro ii yet but that would be the one I would lean towards. It’s a little more than the Hiby R6 iii, but worth it from what I have seen.

Hi…. I have a nakamichi dsp with only a RCA input. So how do I connect to d fiio…. Does d sound quality will not be as good as a coaxial digital input to d dsp. Tq
It depends on which FiiO DAP you go with.

How would the FiiO M11 connect to my Alpine ILX, I currently connect Pixel 6 to USB or I have a Android Auto Dongle. I already have a sound processor but trying to get even better sound to the unit. Will this improve sound quality.
With any DAP you run it to your DSP for the best sound quality as it’s a source unit.
Depending on which DAP and Which DSP you have would determine how you connect it to your DSP. Some DSP’s like mine which is the Helix DSP Ultra I can connect my DAP (FiiO M17) via analog input, or coaxial Digital input. Both those inputs sound amazing. I could also connect it a few other ways but the two I mentioned would give me the best sound quality.
If you don’t have those options and I have no clue what DSP you have, then the last option would just be connecting your DAP via the auxiliary input. I talk about a lot of these connections in my other videos.

@@phaeton925 The FiiO DAP’s don’t have optical out, only coaxial digital out. So if you went with one of those then you would have to run analog out. Like I said it all depends on what DAP you are going to go with. I could literally spend an hour on all the different scenarios, best just to watch my reviews on different products which I explain things. I did reviews on other products that have an optical output that can be combined with a DAP or you can just use your phone with them like a Topping d10s or WiiM Mini Streamer, FiiO K3 etc…
I would ditch the alpine for an android headunit. Either a joying or a Teyes cc3.
Connect the android headunit to your dsp with Optical (only if the dsp has 2 digital inputs like a Helix, otherwise connect via RCA)then connect the DAP to your dsp via coaxial.
Install the Fiio Link app on your android headunit, and you will be able in theory to get the best playback possible with the fiio direct to dsp, but control the hidden away fiio from the android radio's screen - possibly even using the steering wheel controls.
The Helix can do source switching so that if a phonecall comes in on the android deck while listening to the DAP, it will switch over to the audio coming from the deck then revert back to the DAP source after.
This would be your best possible scenario to attain ultimate sound quality and the untouchable day to day features of an android headunit (which really do kick ultimate ass!)

@@HAMMER_2.2 He doesn’t have a Helix DSP and the FiiO link only works with purchased music not Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon HD etc.. Also who knows how those Joying units sound via optical they’re pretty cheap so I’m guessing they’re probably not the greatest but I have never tested one before so who knows.

FiiO M11 Plus Vs M11s Which one you think is better ?
I only did a review on the FiiO M11 Plus LTD and M11s, not the FiiO M11 Plus. The M11 Plus LTD which is no longer available, was the better of the three.
The M11s is their worst DAP out of all of them for the vehicle especially out of the coaxial digital out, which the adapter no longer comes with the unit like It did with every FiiO DAP before it. The original M11 blows the doors off of the M11s out of it’s coaxial digital output.
If I were you I would check out Hiby’s new R6 Pro 2 as it’s Android 12, 5.9inch 1080p screen and the latest AK DAC’s. It’s probably the best Mid Priced DAP out, or coming out right now and is about the same price as a FiiO M11 Plus which is old tech!
I will probably bring the Hiby in for a review.

@@CarAudioHorizons what do mean because the quality is bad it sounds like all the fiio players are a waste of money thay charge 6 arms and 2 legs for them and thay are are crap and then thay discontinue them. Well I won't be buying one at all then and I'll be putting the word out to all my family friends and others
@@jesseedgell8698 Audio tracks are going to be better than a video track with regards to music. It has nothing to do with the player. Unless you were talking SACD or DVD Audio then those will be good.

I don't have a computer , so how can I use my android to transfer my music to the fiio ? And so I can listen to music off line when I'm on the go ?

But like to transfer all my music to the fiio , that's on my android phone , so what is the best way ? One more thing , the small cable the fiio comes with , what can I use that for ?
@@Angel-AbC9 You can use the exact same Music Apps on the new FiiO DAP’s. Apple Music, Tidal etc…
@@Angel-AbC9 Just a cable that connects them both and turn on data transfer on both, copy and paste. Or save to a memory card. Or WiFi transfer.
