You just don’t realize what these shop with you videos mean to me and others during this isolation time, I look for your videos every morning, thank you so very much!!
I’m the “Conner” booth at my vintage mall. I sell 5x more than my booth mates. I’m not out to make a fortune, I just truly enjoy the hunt and rescue of beautiful old pieces. They are always telling me I’m too cheap but, I get it for so cheap I just pass along the savings to someone who will love and care for it. 💕
Yes!! They told me that it wasn’t all Conner when I was filming this video and I felt so silly for assuming that it was all Conner! What are the marks you use on your tags? I LOVE your stuff and I think you have a wonderful business plan. We’ve always been about selling volume. It keeps things fresh.
Erin Watters I have always been that way, too. I believe in making a good profit but not asking the top of the market pricing. At the first mall I had a booth in, the other dealers always bought from me. I never minded (except for the one dealer who asked for a discount because it was for her home, then marked it way up and resold the things in her booth) because my goal was to sell quickly and bring more in!
I just want to tell you that you have spoiled me. I absolutely love watching your videos. Recently I tried to watch other thrifting videos and I can’t even get through ten minutes. You have a pleasant personality, speak clearly and treat people very well. Thank you so much for making your videos
My first job,in a clothing store, I spent HOURS straightening, refolding sweaters. When I am shopping now I find myself doing it. When you rearrange things that's what it reminds me of.
I am missing seeing you and Sue shopping together. Hope it is just the pandemic that is keeping you apart and that once this passes we will see the two of you together again.
I do too but Jocelyn has addressed this previously - their relationship/friendship is a private matter and I believe we should all just accept that lives evolve and that change is inevitable. Still hoping..... but would never pry!!
I've been in isolation for 5 months and have to continue to do so until 1st August. Your videos help me cope with not being able to shop and browse my favourite vintage shops here in the UK. That older man can just ***** *** lol... I sat crafting today playing your back catalogue of videos and enjoying every single one of the Jocelyn. Keep enjoying what you love and ignore the doubters. Love from a very fed up UK subscriber
"Only people who don't know what they're buying." What a jerk. I'd bet that he'd be mighty surprised at YOUR SUCCESS. Keep doing what you're doing, Jocelyn. Thanks for another great video!
Just curious, have you thought about bringing a towel to put in the bottom of the cart? I so enjoy going along on your shopping trips, but I'll admit I get nervous about all the breakables in the cart!
I don't mean to be nosy, but I think that alot of us fell in love with watching you and Sue on your thrifting excursions. We haven't seen you two together since Covid and other things happened. Sue tells people to refer back to you when she is asked about it. I am starting to feel a chill in the air. I may be wrong, but something feels off. You two were so much fun and actually got many of us inspired to thrift and collect things. It is really hard for us to be cut-off from sharing that fun time with you all. I understand if people move on, but we miss you two. No matter what is going on, if hell can freeze over so the Eagles can get back together, I hope it will take much less for you and Sue to go back to your Thursday jaunts.....I say all of this with love in my heart.
I share a lot with my viewers, but I do value my privacy on some matters. My friendship with Sue is not something I wish to discuss publicly. She has included some shopping in her videos and her channel is linked in the description of all my videos.
Those two old men remind me of the hecklers with the big eyebags from The Muppet Show. Lol. Hilarious! PS. There appeared to be a piece of Roseville at 10:16. Couldnt see it well enough to know if it was reproduction.
Try a linen closet full!!! I spent 4 months searching for my Mom's jewellery and couldn't find it until I finally attacked the button stash. Lo and behold the jewellery was in a box neatly labelled "My Personal Jewellery" but behind bags of carded buttons (which I donated to the local hospital knitting group).
“Only people who don’t know what they’re buying.” Good grief!!! Keep doing what you do so well, Jocelyn. You research your inventory items and I trust you! I look forward to your videos everyday and I have learned so much from you. I’m one of your customers too! 🇨🇦
okay I'm officially jealous, I live wayyyyyyyy up in Northern Ontario and we have no Good Will stores or antique stores etc. the odd second hand store here and there but never seemed to find much in the vintage or antique lines. And I don't want to wait for part 2!!! LOL although I do understand why and I will be here when it comes out! Thanks for filling my need to at least see some of this great stuff!!
Yeah! Every time she says it I’m like, oh no, now someone has to drink a shot! Just not me, I don’t drink much ... it really started something, too funny!
Wow for a minute there, I thought all your followers were going to have to send out for more alcohol. With a bird bird here and a bird bird there, here a bird, there a bird, everywhere a bird bird. 🤣😂🤣😂. As for the gentleman (cough cough) and his ill informed comment, there are about 137,000 people that would disagree with him. 💗🐨
12:25 Nice Miracle Whip Mayonnaise Jar 👍😁👍 12:53 The trio of Telephones are incredibly awesome 👍😎👍 19:38 This yellow ware piece would make a great fruit bowl 👍😉👍
that gorgeous vase at 7:33 you put back cause of few little chips at bottom, was pretty enough to get even with those teeny tiny chips ....the beauty outweighed its flaws
That first bird you picked up reminds me of the ones my neighbor carved, he picked it up as a hobby after he retired, often won at competitions sometimes 1st 2nd and 3rd place he would carve his name in the bottom of the block. It almost killed me to see you place things on top of it, because I know how fragile the legs and beak can be.
I have an magazine article from several years back that show Martha Stewart’s large and beautiful collection on McCoy vase and art pottery. One wall shelf section for the brighter colors and another for the whites, creams and pastels. Beautiful.
I just bet that chappy couldn't leave without ET! Why was he shopping there if it wasn't his thing? Anyhooooo, we all loved it as always. I was very sad when that 21mins finished like 2mins! Ah well, I'll just have to hit the thrift stores myself today. Thank you for continually giving us videos. It is appreciated immensely.
Can I request you pick up and look at the Blue carnival glass? I just love to heard your thoughts. I collect it and I want to gain more knowledge, if you could when you think about it. Thanks!
Ha ha ha...I know why you had to stop the video! Your arm was getting sore from all that lifting of goodies into your cart. That and they ran out of counter space up front. ...ha ha ha... You are really on a roll today Joce. I can't believe all the nifty things your are finding and at such good prices. See you on the next one.
I am going to be one of "those" people but I can't help it. Canadian is a nationality. The geese are actually Canada geese. Everyone says it incorrectly but the scientific name is actually Canada goose. Now that I got that off of my chest I will get down off of my soapbox🤣
Please teach us how to pack mug or china or plate or fragile items 😊😊 I am so afraid to list those because not sure how to make them safe to their buyers Thank u so much ❤️👌
I was just wondering if Martha Stewart marked her pieces of Jadeite?!? Also, what could be more appropriate than antique shopping with a thunder storm in the background! That doesn’t happen here! Great haul again-you can’t buy a pack of gum for $1.50-crazy to buy antiques for it! I received my BB t-shirt and absolutely love it! Great quality soft tee! See you on the flip side!
12:00 is Famille Rose, not antique but quite nice! Antique FR would not have English writing on them and you can also tell a lot by how modern the character's faces look. Older pieces typically have child-like cartoon quality faces. You would be lucky to find a genuine FR antique in a thrift shop; they sell from several hundred to several million! Those pair of Jugs are amazing btw, so glad you didn't pass those by at that price! Lol.
Hi there I watch your stuff every night and I would love it if you kept an eye out for two ballerina chalk ware plaques circa 1950. I can’t seem to upload a picture they’re very hard to find. I lost mine in a house fire. They were black and gold but have seen them pink and black and orange and black. Would pay good money for them . Anyways thank you for the shopping. I can’t right now. Keep thrifting!!!
at 12:00 when you put the bowl on shelf to move the ducks, did you see the gorgeous pink bowl that was on the shelf underneath where you laid your bowl ?
Absolutely! There's an antique mall around here that I have dubbed the antique museum. The inventory never changes, the items sit on the shelves so long, the ink on the tags wears off, the prices are outrageous! I always tell my husband that those booths are just for collectors who want to show off their antiques, not really sell them! 🤪😂😎
Do you do lamps any more? I haven't been well lately ,I can't say that I've watch much, and my little tablet that I use is broken, I'm using my son's,notebook! I'll try to watch for awhile! ,Is She still around? Oh yes this is Deborah not George.😉
You just don’t realize what these shop with you videos mean to me and others during this isolation time, I look for your videos every morning, thank you so very much!!
Awww! I’m so glad you enjoy shopping with me. I’m enjoy bringing you along. ☺️
Agreed, I'm going through thrifting withdrawal, it is the only shopping I enjoy.

@@laurahopwood3332 that is downright nasty. The wheel of karma may come her way and it's not going to be pretty.
Erin Watters My favorite part is the “hunt” for more pieces, so I make a profit and use that for more sourcing!

I agree!
SuSu Burleson Me too!
Me to love them Hi from Ireland.

Former retailer here, and I agree! I straighten things out all the time.
Yep! I put clothes back where they belong, and size them on the racks, refold things...i actually considered getting a part time retail job again. 😏
@@juliacollins2947 I go back to the '60s and I still do it.

Did anyone else see the extra large empty miracle whip jar? That was strange.
I liked the glass vase with the vertical lines, wish you would have shown/gotten that one! At 9:16. Fun video, thanks!

Banana box antiques t-shirts are starting to get delivered just got mine today!
Cyd in MD. My t-shirt arrived today (7-27-2020) around 1:30. Just wanted to give you an update.
Great haul. I got my Banana Box Antiques shirt in the mail today - woot woot!🎉💕😊

The blue carnival glass vase with chips! I must go to Pa. when I travel again.

I spotted the praying hands! A point for me!
I'm so happy for you! Aren't you glad you got those damn ducks?😜
I haven't seen Sue for awhile - are you no longer shopping together?
They made me laugh🤣
Sharon Guenette I liked them shopping together too. They compliment each other well. Great fun.
I love your videos so much. You should do longer shopping videos like your haul and live ones.
I saw a s little white coffee pot on the same shelves as those horses ...one of my " favorite" things!
I wish you took the pink horse I would buy him even with the rattle inside

Heading to VA next week to see family. Planning in picking in country antique stores and Good Will with my sisters
IT ARRIVED!!!! YEAH MY BANANA BOX ANTIQUES SWEATSHIRT IS HERE!!!!! I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️IT!
Hi..
Hint : take a small soft blanket with you to these places and line your trolley with it, so your items are safer and cushioned. 👍
at 13:40 t to the far left of the horses was a very cute mini pitcher and bowl combo , i love big and small pitcher sets
Oh I love that yellow ware bowl! Bet it’s old but not sure if it’s super valuable? It just begs to sit on a counter with apples in it.
I miss you telling us what the item is and why you are buying it. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
I would go crazy n this place...Prices are just soooo low!!! Great finds!!!
Yes... on the yellow bowl!!!
What happened to you and Sue? I enjoyed your shopping trips!!💚❤️😷😷
The black and white bird is a Loon. I think you are supposed to take a double shot when you see a Loon!
Martha Stewart Jadeite sometimes has MSE on the bottom and usually the painted pieces weren't reproduced
I really loved the 1950 glasses you passed up.
I would buy those 1950 drinking glasses
Now, whenever I hear “it’s got birds on it,” I feel like I need a drink. You’re a bad influence Jocelyn.
Yeah! Every time she says it I’m like, oh no, now someone has to drink a shot! Just not me, I don’t drink much ... it really started something, too funny!
Lol the Niche Lady says it too!
Do you think maybe we have all been cooped up that we don't remember "inside" voices anymore? Seems there is always some loud person in the store.
Naw, he’s probably just an old geezer that needs a hearing aid just like my husband does, lol, they don’t realize how loud they are. Gotta love ‘em. 😊

Oh my Gosh, it you go back to the antique store I would love the sock monkey jack in the box that was behind the black vase you bought for 6.95.
I want that Waring blender at 21:29. I can still remember the smell of it when my mother used it.
12.48 the Boston Terrier figure ! They are so hard to find 😫

Bundy & Company duck decoy, from what I just researched, is around $175! Good job 👍
I swear that your second super power is putting glass items in your cart without chipping, cracking, or breaking other items!!
I am yelling get the Boston Terrier door stop. You walked by it 2 times today and I think alson in another video. I know probably to heavy to ship
I have that one. We picked it up cheap at a yard sale!
If you sell that beautiful controlled bubbles paperweight on eBay, I’d totally buy it.
