Woo hoo, Finders Keepers! As soon as you mentioned my FAVOURITE store, I started to sing like Pavarotti. Unfortunately, the other members of the household didn't appreciate my performance considering it's 2am here in Australia! I could literally spend all day in that store. So many beautiful, elegant and eclectic pieces - it really does cater to everyone's taste. I particularly love the wooden display cabinets with the glass shelving - they seem to emphasise the vibrancy and beauty of the porcelain pieces and even more so with the glass and crystal ware. I'd be hard pressed to leave that store come closing time. You are certainly stronger than I am, Miss Jocelyn. Thank you for another wonderful outing - cannot wait to go back there! Hello crazy lamp lady the last item you got the blue pottery “canister” is a butter holder you put the butter on the top and water in the bottom of the canister when you close it the butter doesn’t fall but keeps it from going rancid

@@IvyRoad I immediately thought of Jemima too, but I think maybe this duck was inspired by Jemima rather than an actual depiction since Jemima's shawl was pink. She did wear a blue bonnet though. I love sweet Jemima and have a Royal Doulton ceramic of her.

Have you found anything about the "Potter" who made the angel bowl you picked up!?! I recently nabbed a very cool cutout, dragonfly vase by the exact same maker, equally-cool, and couldn't find ANY info on who Potter is/was. He/she seemed to make really cool pieces.

For the pottery marked potter UA-cam search curiosity incorporated just a hunch I watched video titled the we bought a hoarder house (3 or more parts to the video)he bought the contents of entire house and the owners name was potter and her original pottery sells for a lot of money

The ducks name was jemima puddle duck there from the beatrix potter stories. The lady in the shop had a very loud voice stupidly i found myself turning the sound up so i could hear you speaking but of corse it only got louder i must have been havbing a senior moment as they call it here in the UK.
She’s a very nice lady. It was just my microphone-it picks up everything on full blast.

Wasn't the lady who's house Alex over at Curiosity Inc bought and renovated named Potter? And she was just that, a pottery artist?
I also watched that show or channel. I think you are right and her stuff is highly sought after. She did some beautiful work and traveled far and wide to find her clay.

The name of the artist was Mary Borgstrom. In the series they named the house after her profession.

It may be me, but I don't feel their store is as spectacular as it has been in past visits. It looks like many areas have cheaper quality items than before. However, I like what you bought. A nice variety of things. 💛
I think she goes to at least two different finders keepers stores, and I believe there's a bit of a difference in each store, stock and prices.

The restaurant ware is not doing well? I am just curious - was it in demand then like a year ago? If that is the case it is too bad. It is incredibly sturdy. And when I was seeing the old transferware plate, I was saying, "Yes pick it up!" Lol. Incredible find.

I think the angel bowl that says Potter on the bottom is from an artist from Canada named Mary Borgstrom. Amazon has a book out written by Alex Archibald also from Canada who has channel on UA-cam called Curiosity Inc. He has a large collection of her things and was responsible for selling many of her works. Sadly she has passed. Her Name was Mary Borgstrom.
Dead End Garage she was a potter her surname wasn’t Potter
Curiosoty Inc. did quite a utube series on her. She was a hoarder and he bought her house and everything in it. That was when she was in a nursing home and he met with her and went to her funeral when she died.
It's worth watching. She won many awards for her pottery.
