      Just purchased a 2004 88B Fatboy in White Pearl. She has been lowered and fully chromed. Previous owner spent untold $1,000’s. My first Harley. Just love it 🙏🇦🇺😎

    Proud owner of a 2003 Pearl White Fatboy. Love her dearly! I've never had issues with the solid wheels, and I am a girl! :)

      I've got the 2005 Black Pearl Fatboy & only once in the 18 yrs I've had her I've had the front solid wheel lift in a cross wind at 180klms that I wasn't prepared for!!!! Love the Fatboys over all my Harley's I've owned!!! 👍👍✌

    Great history, it's such a pleasure getting this kind of feedback from someone who actually bought and owns the bike he is talking about, let alone owning four of them in recent years

    Great video... and fascinating history.
    After many years as a Heritage Classic owner, I wanted something with presence... something to wrestle with - something that tells you that you are on something serious... and mean. I picked up the new Fatboy 114 last week... Wow!

      It’s a great bike. I believe the Fatboy was first modelled after the Heritage. You could say they’re cousins. Thanks for the comment 👍

      @@canadiansa1nt309 all but one of my 5 Harley’s have special paint as I love having coolest colors. This anniversary paint is an eye catcher.
      What I like about the newer fat boys is the change in the wheels as the solid wheel look and feel in wind made me shy away from it. It’s the most different of my bikes and can’t wait to really test it once the roads are not so full of gravel, sand and etc of winter roads in SWCO.

    Great video, brother . I have a 1990 Fatboy. However, the guy I bought it off of tore it down painted the frame black and tins are now periwinkle blue, original motor original frame all original tins "Periwinkle blue tins" he also shaved it, that means you will see no welds on the frame or the bike anywhere Old-Timers used to do that back in the day the motor numbers in the frame numbers all match the clean title
    I body with the idea of restoring it to original condition. However, my wife passed away from a blood clot at 53 years old , so that took the spring out of my step.

    Good video. I'm in southern Indiana, I've found a 1995 Fatboy for $6,500 and 11,000 miles and another 1995 Fatboy for $6,000 with 18,000 miles. I've had 3 big twin shovelheads but as you stated, Terminator 2 hooked you and some others on the Fatboy.

      @canadiansa1nt309 Been riding it in the high 40 degree temps here in Ohio. You can feel it. Am hoping someone will chime in with an idea as to what will help. I saw what looked like a leather apron someone had on their bike. I don't know what it's called or where to get one if I wanted to. Most of the riding I'll be doing will be in town at speeds generally at around 35 mph.

      @@canadiansa1nt309Yes, people need to keep the evos and invest whatever money it takes to make them run good, becuase the only other option is going to leave people with major waste of money with twin cams to M8s and nightmare electrical issues and expense engine repairs. Harley never needed to go above the shovel head and the evo And the fatboy evo is a harley one can deck it out to be same as the electra if they want or leave them bare bones

    Hello. I want to buy a Fat Boy with Evo but it`s easier to find Heritage. And I have thoughts to convert Heritage to Fat Boy. Is there any difference from HD Heritage Softail Classic 1340 except handlebar, fenders, wheels and turn signals?

    • @canadiansa1nt309
      @canadiansa1nt309  3 роки тому +2

      The tank badging would be different and the heritage comes with saddlebags and maybe a windshield. I don’t think there would be too much different other than that and the things you’ve said. It would most likely be cheaper to wait and find the Fatboy rather than converting the Heritage, though.

      Yep, you are correct. 1999 was the last year for the Evo contrary to what was stated in the video (1999) and was DEFINITELY NOT a "Twinkie". The Mo-Co also produced some CVO FXR's which also had the Evolution motor well into calander year of 2000. Those bikes are fetching some good money nowadays. Great job on the Fatboy history otherwise.
