The library card is the cutest thing ever
isn't it!
yess. I'll also make one! :p
yes it was a great Idea and im going to make one into a bookmark
Blakeney is so cute when she “punched” the library card using a hair brush 😅
Ruby: 7 books in a day
Me: Still trying to finish that one book I've been reading for the past 12 months
same lol but honestly we all read at different paces
I mean rushing through a book also is pointless
@@Maple-x3n true but I have just been lazy🙂🙂
Me toooooo
You’ve gotta find a book that grips you
I know its not a lot compared to this but I am really proud of myself for reading 20 pages on the bus today instead of being on the phone ❤ and I cant wait to read again later today (I am not much of a reader but lately I've been enjoying it) Thanks Ruby for motivating me and Greetings Form Germany 😸😊
You should be proud!! I’m trying to incorporate reading in my life more often too. We’ve got this!
Yay !!! Hope you're still doing it 😊
This is what American people think all British people are like! 😂
Oh don't forget we ALL drink tea and the only place that exists is London and Britain is called England!
Really? But she's not filming in Downton Abbey or Hogwarts or Narnia or anything!
Wdym?
I saw this comment on another video 😑
Anne Shirley cuthbert -
Who here just gets inspired by how hard Ruby works? ❤️
Yes! She is younger than my children, so at times I think it's odd to watch her regularly but she is incredibly inspiring. I aspire to be as organized, productive, and scheduled.
As an English teacher, I certainly do ☺️
If I'm inspire than can search your self you wanna to find truth I think no need to search you can see truth if you wanna to see than look own house , neighbors and whole town and country and on large world what's truth and if you don't wanna than you can say me lie ( Jesus said you see but nothing see ,you hear but nothing hear )
Blakeney's library card idea is just so adorable and lovely and her bookshelves are beautiful!! Thank you Ruby I really enjoyed your video so relaxing and inspiring, it's night now where I live but you motivated me to dedicate my whole day tomorrow for reading!
I'd really like to do a readathon myself but never seem to find a "free" day to do it... this video really made me think: just take that time for yourself and finally do it! :)
Me too :) I totally agree!
You really should! Set it aside for yourself -- as you would if seeing a friend :)xx
This video couldn't come at a better time. I had to take a break from my studies, since i have my finals tomorrow. Thanks so much ruby! 🧡
Good luck with your finals!
Your our real life Hermonie, you are so amazing and these readathons are so much fun to watch! You are such a big inspiration to me :))
wow, only Ruby stayed true to being a "studytube" even after all these years. I know they grow up and all and have found different hobbies, but only Ruby has kept releasing inspirational study content because it's just truly who she is. Someone who genuinely enjoys books and reading.
it would be so cool if Ruby did a live read-a-thon.
Yes! That's such a cool idea!
@@RubyGranger8 Yes pls!! It would be so cute and fun :)
I like this idea. She has such a lovely voice. So I would like it if she read to us part of her favorite books.
@@doris_1325 She did do a video where she reads the first line of her favorite books.
@omnia ben abdallah Thank you
Yesssss was waiting for another readathon to motivate me out of my reading slump! Thank you ruby ❤
Same!! In a total reading slump too - almost scared to attempt something like this at the moment lest I fail miserably!
Her readathons are by far my favorite types of videos she creates. So cozy and calm :)
Omg yes, I was waiting for another read-a-thon, I love them.
I hope you enjoy watching!
i laughed out loud at the fact that there is a cafe in ENGLAND called "The Boston Tea Party"
Haha, it’s a chain. I bet it’s jarring to see!
Yeah there actually is!
a clarification: i found it funny bc the Boston tea party i know of was protest against Britain
Me: trying to read as many books a day but never being able to
Also me: realizing that the majority of books I read are in a foreign language and classics which are known for difficult language
Same problem 🙂
Obviously there is so much disparity between books... it's just not useful to compare numbers when people are reading different kinds of books. For example, there is no way I could have read a Bronte book as part of this readathon in a single day :)
@@RubyGranger8 Exactly! Especially if it's in another language. I'm reading really fast in German, a little slower in English, much slower in Yiddish and so on.
100%
These days I have been reading a lot of hard classics in foreign languages and I still wonder why other people can read so much more than me.

I like this video a lot. I always love it when Ruby talks about books or reading. This is a very aesthetic video as well and I'm kinda jelaous of the fact that Ruby is so motivated to just read all day. I could never. ❤
I loved that you included your thoughts on the books, I learned some new things! Needless to say, my TBR list has once more grown longer haha 📚
I love your readathons!!!
Thank you!
I love readathons! Watching videos like that always inspire me to read more and I can definitely use that at the moment. I'm trying to read 365 books this year, so far I'm doing quite okay, but having a small reading slump atm. Well, not anymore :-)
Wow! 365 books! How far through are you? x
@@RubyGranger8 Currently reading book nr 170. But today is actually day 174, so a bit behind, but if I manage to do a readathon like you it'll be alright. Thank you, btw x
@@TheQuirkyReadingCouple that’s amazing
@@ethanrichardson3774 :-)
That is too many. Too much is the same as nothing at all.
That mug that says “Ruby” with all the little pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns on it omg….sooo cute 🥺
I just want to tell Ruby how grateful I am of her. She is just so motivational and makes me want to be productive just like her. Ruby, without your motivational spirit, I wouldn't have gotten my Principal's Honor Roll certificate for the most academic student of my standard. Thank you so much for inspiring me, it feels great to have you as my influencer :)
I get inspired by all of her videos. I'm sure she's inspiring many more.
That makes me so happy to hear!
Yes.She is😁😁
I'm literally the happiest person in the world knowing that the BEST UA-camR POSTED!! 💕😊😊
This is such cosy comfort content, always makes me feel calm after a stressful day 💖
Keep the Blakeney content coming pls - she's adorable
Ugh I'm In Love with Blackeney :') she's literally the cutest ever
I love the music in this! So calming and inspiring at the same time. Then you Ruby
I paused one minute in, and went to make a nice cup of tea so I could enjoy it within the mood/aesthetic of this video. 🖤🖤🖤
Aww the library card ☺️ Your videos always give such positive vibes 💓
awww I love these videos - I finished my most stressful exam today (poetry) so am watching this as a celebration! 😊
Congratulations on finishing!
I cant even read 7 books in my life but she did it in one day😂
Books I've ever purchased myself besides course books- A diary of a young girl(ongoing) , twilight part 1, arabian nights story(ongoing), 1 comic, blue mimosa (total no 5)
The books I've ever borrowed to read- Inkheart, Harry Potter, a couple of short story books, encyclopedias, gk/science/math related books etc....... By the way I really enjoy watching your videos very much❤️❤️❤️.
The Tchaikovsky music playing really set the perfect tone. :)
Could you do a video about your favorite classic books / books to read if someone would want to read more classics? 💛 I hope that makes sense
You can check her previous videos, she recommended many good books especially classics or maybe check out her goodreads account to see what she has read.
I definitely can but Rasha is also right that I have a few videos on my channel already in the meantime :)
@@whateverbabe Thank you!!
@@RubyGranger8 I’ll check out you’re previous videos, thanks!!

She read that number of books in a day that i read in a year.
me too. I have never finished reading any book in one day! 😭
Ruby you are such an inspiration and role model to me. The readathons are so fun to watch! :)
I am proud to be a English major student. This video's shows exact reality and it is incredibly beautiful 👍👍
Thank you so much Sandra :)
I read seven books in a week once, and I told everyone about it for months; I was so proud of myself. To be fair, for the previous seven years I had probably been only reading about a book a year, what with having a full time job and often working up to 70 hours a week, so to me it was a pretty big deal. It was actually Ruby who was one of the inspirations for getting me back into reading, so good work Ruby! I was a complete bookworm as a teenager but as an adult could barely get through a page without falling asleep, so the same book would last months and months.
I had tried this summer a readathon and i was surprised of the number of books i had read . I read 12 books in 24 hrs without sleeping . This is how we are called as BOOKWORMS
Every time a video is uploaded, I always think you're my role model💕
you're so kind!
My favourite part of your readathon videos are your comments on the books💕
Thank you for this Ruby, I've been in a reading slump these past few weeks too and I got demotivated when I'm so excited to finally read Dickens, and realized after reading the first few chapters that it's a very hard🤣 I'm so inspired that you get confuse and struggle too, I'm sooo looking forward to read it more slowly. Thank you so much Ruby for your vulnerability and passion in reading
Yellow light is looks amazing in red couch🛋️🛋️ 👍👍👍👍

I would love to see a video with just you talking about the victorian period and the things you find most interesting about it. I could watch this for hours.
Oooh biscuit tea sounds delightful x
Oh my gosh what a sweet library card aha
I love seeing videos like this!! I have been trying to read more this year, and this has made me even more excited to read!!!
i really enjoyed huysman’s against nature in my first year philosophy class!! it was one of my favorite readings that semester
Blakeney’s writing reminds me of how Quentin Blake’s name is printed on books
omg love Blakeney's library card idea ❤️
I was waiting to see this video to help boost my motivation for the week! I'm in a reading slump too right now but this really helped! Thank you!
You sound so much like Hermione granger but more calm and relaxing, i love your videos by the way

My heart jumped when I saw ‘I was a rat’ we read it in school and it was the first book I really enjoyed!
Speaking of Hamlet (which is one of my favourites) I just read Richard II by Shakespeare! Can't wait to watch the play with David Tennant, I love this version of the play 🎭

I just started watching your videos and enjoy watching them, especially the books you pick and so jealous of your house it looks so cozy for reading. One thing I will say is that do you really get pleasure out of doing your readathons? The reason I ask is when I read a book and it’s just a personal thing for me I know everybody is different, I enjoy taking my time to read it just like sitting to a nice meal. I like to absorb everything that’s going on, going to do chores and thinking about the characters and can’t wait to get back to the book again. I guess I cherish every book as if it’s my last meal 🙂
I’ve been watching your readathons recently and have been secretly hoping for another one so I’m delighted with this!
Your aesthetic is *PERFECT*
Your vid is so lovely !! And the library card omg how cute 🥺 thank you for this cozy time during exam season💕
I love this so much!!! I love your readathons. Planning on rewatching this a lot:)

Read Showalter's 'The Female Malady' - it relates a lot to her longer criticism on Ophelia but its kind of a feminist version of Foucault's 'Madness and Civilisation' which is obviously now the most pivotal histories of madness. I did this all for my EPQ and its fascinating, particularly how much influence Ophelia and Bertha had on psychiatry.
Ruby's outfit in the starting of this video video reminds me a lot of Hermione Granger in the Deathly Hallows movie
YAYYY readathons are my absolute favourite types of videos!!! They inspire me to get reading !! 📖 thx ruby!
I have my summer holidays now! I'm thinking of setting time tomorrow for my read-athon! Thanks so MUCHHH FOR THE INSPIRATION! You're literally real life Hermione granger
What a cute mug in the beginning!
I love these readathons!!! I look forward to them! They're so cozy📚
The one video I've been looking forward to for ages! Thanks Ruby 💋 You're a marvellous lady
Thank you for your video Ruby, it motivated me to go back to reading. I really appreciate your work. I wish you a really lovely day❤️
I love your readhaton videos!
I really loved this video! It definitely made me look forward to having more time to read after finals! 📖
Against Nature!!! I love that book.
I loved Against Nature. I read it as an undergrad in my La Belle Époque class.
I love your aesthetic Ruby! 💕
19 minutes of my favourite book worm reading books ! 😌Ahh pure bliss ♥️💞
I hope you enjoy it!
@@RubyGranger8 I thoroughly enjoyed it Ruby 💞 lots of love to you
Whenever i m watching ur vid i feel like i m seeing old age time a life of topper because the environment, the background music.... really nice vids keep it up..
i read 10 books every day, ( 10 pages of each one)
She always inspire me to read coz reading is not the most ideal thing for me , but I quite enjoy reading supernatural stuffs, fairy tales ..## love you always and you actually gave me a break as well from electronics❤️
i'd like to encourage you to share your thoughts instead of notion in a blog, learn out loud and ask questions, share them with the world. i understand it's personal, but as a reader we know how amazing it is to find our thoughts spoken by someone else. please give it a try.
I highly recommend the new Ophelia movie with Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watts. So so good! You'll love it!
I'm so impressed - 7 books in a day! Your videos always bring so much inspiration for studying, reading, etc. Ruby, how much time in average does it take you to read one book? For example, the same size as "The diamond as big as the Ritz" by F. Scott Fitzgerald?
I was literally thinking last night "I should do a readathon soon" and then literally when I woke up this was in my notifications loll
I remember when I could do this... back before I had kids.😄 Looking forward to when I'm old & can do it again - just hoping I can still read by then.🥴
I'm finally free because I passed my graduation levels. And I can't believe that I've actually time to relax now, so what better way than to watch Ruby's videos ❤️
Here's to new chapters!
You're at the top of my list now. Top ten booktubers I know of!
The Diamond as Big As the Ritz - It's on my backlog of pieces I'm reading aloud on my channel.
I love it!
I'm already thinking of the music I'll pair to it. I'm fond of old Jazz, living one hour from New Orleans.
P.D. James ... Stephen King also on my list. Gosh, it's like a dream listening to you!
6:27 I spotted The Hobbit 😂❤
I read Hamlet this year too(for uni) and I really enjoyed it a lot!
I've just discover your channel and I love it. 😍 I'm French and I love read in english, especially the english litterature (I study it at school). I love foreign language, I also read in spanish. Anyway, your videos are so good and you have given me ideas of books to read.☺️
Ruby’s readatons >>>>>
Finally a Ruby book video!!! 🥺
You can watch lots of Shakespeare for free through the Exeter university library databases, using your uni login. I would really recommend Rory Kinnear’s version - it is soooo good :)
Thank you for such a beautiful video!
You ARE my role model!!
Ruby, the books which you have read look quite interesting. If I were you, I would probably go for Classical Literature such as Shakespeare, Chaucer, and the author who wrote Beowulf because my background is on Classical Studies.
I did Hamlet for school and enjoyed it so much! Once we studied it we went to the play too. I want to read Romeo and Juliet now but I think I will read it along with an audiobook which will probably help in understanding what’s going on x
so aesthetic, Ruby
