I suppose Germany (and US and France quite often) get more 4Ks that the UK doesn't is that the UK public is easily pleased by 'streaming is good enough', 'I'm not paying that price' or 'I can't see the difference between a DVD and a Blu-ray) PLUS, being a small country with lots of people close together, streaming is available for just abou anyone - and was heavily adopted and home cinemas upgraded during lockdown to add to the mix. I honestly think a lot of it sadly comes down to the UK public won't pay out resulting in higher prices (or no release) for the few that will as distributors will lose money if they try to sell here. Guardians 3 is streaming on Sky in the UK now; it's on TV adverts every few minutes (and I don't have Sky) and Zavvi are saying UK physical in early October... not that they'll be able to get stock! I ordered the M:I 4K steels from Zavvi 21st APRIL and am getting the same; I thought they were exclusives but might consider other sources if not... agreed Zavvi should admit suppliers won't supply them but (from experience working in companies) they won't as that means they're telling everyone they might go bust; so nodody orders from them and the DO go bust. F'ing annoying though.. and yes it's affecting ANYTHING they don't have in the warehouse I think; I've tried ordering recently released items and they stick in Processing until I cancel and go elsewhere as suppliers won't hand them over in advance, like they used to when Zavvi were financially solid, so Zavvi have to 'save up' to pay suppliers to get a trickle of any stock :(
Some great titles coming out, will try and go for Escape from Absolom, Watched that at the cinema on release. Alligator is the same as the Scream factory release as the Scream factory logo comes up on the film. I buy a few of my films from Germany mate, enjoyed this update.
i'm in same boat as you with M.I.P set, complain and all i got was apologies and 10% off, they even said my money hadn't been taken for items until they are dispatched , i sent proof of payments , they are investigating to see why payments were taken , thick shits payments are taken on monthly scheme through split it they should know this , i cancelled scream 6 ,they told me it wasn't available till december they were waiting for stock , ordered from amazon received next day .
Great Video Pete I ordered both Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso (Cobra Kai) Funko pops from Zavvi they deleted the order and after they deleted the order then I received an email from Zavvi to say sorry were unable to source both Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso (Funko POPs) any more into stock we cancelled the order here is 10% off your next purchase even though I placed the order 5 months before they cancelled the order completely oh I also ordered The Snowman/The Snowman & The Snowdog Blu-Ray boxset from Zavvi but when it arrived they sent me The Snowman & The Snowdog advent calendar instead
