- 'Two and a Half Men' star Angus T. Jones looked nearly unrecognizable while grabbing lunch in Los Angeles. The former child star debuted a new buzzcut during a rare public outing. Angus sported a gray hoodie and black shorts while carrying a water bottle and his phone. The actor starred alongside Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer on the early 2000s sitcom, before exiting in 2012. Angus has since retreated from the spotlight.

Looking at the picture of him as a child I think he's very quote-unquote recognizable. He's not a child anymore....but if you're familiar with him, he's recognizable. "Unrecognizable" is usually an insult

As a Child actor, he wasn't fully aware of the innuendos of the lines in the Show. It was only as an Adult that he could reflect uncensored as to what the Shows premise was generally about - comedy, sex, casual relationships, irresponsibility towards self and women, greed and tawdry humour - which for him, as an Adult, with his renewed perspective, it didn't fit in to his newly founded philosophy faith based thinking. It's a normal response for the transition of Actors from Child to Adult, especially when you consider that whilst we, as adults, enjoyed the humour of the show, it probably wasn't the most ideal of genres for a child to be around. Hence his change of thoughts. But naturally he accepted the money as he was at the time a child working and deserved his salary.

I only recently began watching the show and have found it to be at times laugh out loud funny. It is a shame that so much drama occurred behind the scenes. Angus was fortunate to have had a very lucrative and successful career that has funded his life for life. He may not have been happy towards the end of his time on the show but hopefully after all these years away from it, he has found some sort of peace.
Ive literally been rewatching the show since 2010s since i was a kid. ive only ever seen season 10 -12 like 3 times though. The og seasons never get old

This was actually a pretty good show for 6 - 7 seasons and a moderately good show until the end season 8. Of course, we all know it went south afterwards, and Angus was intelligent enough to realize that and get out before the show's quality hit rock bottom. But to publicly throw his old cast and crew mates under the bus after no one had done anything to him other than make him rich and have good laughs and always keep him safe according to youth protection laws? That was uncalled for! If Angus T. Jones felt the need to publicly share his critical thoughts about the development of a TV series that had been part of his life for 10 years, he's entitled to do so, but he could have found a much more constructive, fair and perhaps discreet way to address those issues. ...Anyway, it was good to hear him apologize for it later on, and I hope he's living his best life in L.A. now.
To be fair I think he was at the age where you start searching and going through changes of your life.
To make an earnest effort to make amends, he should have returned all or whatever was left of his earnings from the sitcom. Doing this would have indeed cleared his conscience and cleansed his soul. Short of this, he's simply another disgruntled failed actor and a hypocrite.

Yes, he's entitled. Just as TV, cable, and Hollywood executives are entitled to not hire / re-hire anyone who'll potentially bring bad publicity to their networks; and, by extension, bring-down ratings. It's all about ratings and money. And there' never been a star or celebrity that has managed to dictate otherwise.
He seems to be very disrespectful to the very show that made him a multimillionaire before 18 and literally set him up to not ever have to work the rest of his life

I think American religiosity is generally insane, but he's a product of his upbringing & exposures.

Exactly. When he was in the show, he was a child, learning and reciting lines and had the talent of comedic timing and knowing just how to be dry witted and somewhat naive in his delivery. He would not have understood the underlining sexual innuendos of the lines, of the premise of the show or the sexual disrespect (in an albeit humourous way) shown from the men to the women in the show and at times, vice versa . As a child actor, he was simply playing a character. As he said, as an adult, with reflection and his own perspective on life and faith and humour etc, he recognised his participation in the show, didn't align with who he had grown up to be as an actor. That makes a lot of sense. If you think about it, his parents and talent agent should have been more mindful of the type of messages, subliminal as they were to a child, and perhaps have opted for a different role. Nonetheless, he played a great Jake, he delivered his character with authenticity. He deserved the salary he made each year. Likewise he deserves to choose the life he wants as an adult now. Hopefully as an adult, he might take care of his health too, as physically he doesn't appear to be very healthy looking but perhaps it's just his metabolism. I wish him well

This was the best show, unfortunately it was gold the way it was created and they could not re-created, when Charlie left it was all downhill. It was never going to be the same.
I almost wish they would have done what they did with Seinfeld and ended on a high.

I would like to comment on the change in Angus. You’ve come a long way. A word of advice: I grew up in the church. Any church quite frankly. The Mercy and grace of Christ, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what pulls me through today. Allow God to really work in a powerful way today. We will keep you in our prayers as always.

There should be therapists and gate community designed just for child actors in Hollywood. Don't see how the show was anti-Christian, Charper Harper is a God-fearing man. Poor Angus, amongst the fortunate, but unable to see through the necessary pain that comes with.
