    Thank you very much for this informative video! You did an excellent job explaining the ordeal! At the end, during the pump venting procedure, do I need to do anything else while it is running? Or do I only leave it on with the low beams and wait for the 12mins to be up?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  2 роки тому +2

      Just wait for the 12 minutes, then top up the system.

    This is a very good video, than you so much, do you have a video to change the thermostat and water pump housing? Do I have to remove the compressor? I really appreciate your help🙏

      @HaynesManuals  5 місяців тому +1

      There's no need to completely remove the compressor - just unbolt it and move it to one side without disconnecting the refrigerant hoses.

    Hi! Love your videos and I do have your Haynes manual. For my Mini S F55, I replaced the turbo (primmed), the cat, turbo oil lines etc. Given I had to detach the coolant lines from the turbo, I’m guessing that would give me an air pocket I would need to bleed? Should I follow the gas-pedal step Gents? Cheers!

      Yes, we would recommend that you carry out the bleeding procedure

    I'm so confused where is the coolant draining out of??? He doesn't undo anything other than bleeder screw up top?

    Thank you, very helpful! I have the 2L, but on following the instructions and pressing the accelerator for 10-12 seconds, nothing happens! I tried various combinations of heat on and headlights, still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

      I know it’s an old post, but I’ve found on some F5X cars you have to start the engine for it to work. Basically follow the same directions, but after you press the accelerator for 10 seconds, release the pedal, then start the engine. You’ll know it’s working because the engine will idle high (~1300 RPM) for around 10 minutes, then drop to a more normal idle around 800 RPM

    During the 12 minute pump venting procedure after pushing down the gas pedal to 100% for 10 sec do you need to turn the heat on to max temp and low fan speed similar to you do during the regular procedure?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  Рік тому

      The procedure in the video is exactly as Mini describe. The way I read it, the heat should still be set to MAX with the fan at low speed.

    Is this tutorial suitable for a Mini JCW 2.0L B48A20 engine 2016 model?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  Рік тому

      Unfortunately not. Our manual doesn't cover the JCW models.

    Do you have a video showing how to take the radiator out?

    If my mini is a 1.5 L model, do I need to perform the additional battery charger step?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  3 роки тому +4

      Connecting a battery charger is only necessary on the 1.5L diesel, and 2.0 litre petrol models.

      @@HaynesManuals does the 12 minute bleeding process work on the 1.5L B38 Petrol but you just don’t require the battery charger?

    How the hell do you get to the cooling pump hose without removing radiator

  • @chrisjfox8715
    @chrisjfox8715 Рік тому +1

    It's unclear to me why removing so much was necessary just to drain

      It seems long-winded, but this was the procedure described by Mini
