The HEUER brand sans TAG really stands out. The Camaro also. I wish they did more to bring out these early pieces. Lovely to see this one. Great review.
I am a very happy owner of a early 2000's Carrera CV2110, with the calibre 17 ETA automatic movement inside a 39 mm case and it's amazing. I do see a lot of comments on here about the TAG logo and how they like that it is now removed. That being said, it is still part of the Heuer history and it's something that never bothers me about my watch. It has a date complication and I find it to be one of the best values in the Carrera line at this time. I married it with a blue buffalo leather racing strap with holes and it makes the silver and blue dial pop. I believe that the Carrera line of watches to be one of the best looking watch collections ever made. Even the ETA automatic version like mine is a great watch and represents a small part of its long history started by Jack Heuer. Great review, I always look forward to seeing what's next from Theo and Harris.
Bought mine a while ago in the TH boutique in Munich...absolutely love it, its easily one of the most beautiful watches I can imagine, at least for someone like me, who values simplicity and timelessness. The size choice is perfect as well. The single direction rotor is clearly audible, while it doesn't bother me, I wish they went for bidirectional winding or even better handwinding.
They really just need to ditch TAG, it's no longer the owner and adds nothing but a reminder of the shocking releases under its leadership. Long live Heuer.
I mean, I somewhat agree but I remember John Claude Biver said they won't do that because a lot of people grew up with the TAG branding too. Like my first luxury watch was a TAG F1 Chrono from 2003. Would I personally be sad to see the TAG branding go? Not really, but some people might actually.
@@M3LTUP I think that's great. The retro re-releases and legacy watches could be called Heuer and the current and future watches could be called tag heuer. I agree with others that most people under 40 associate with tag more than just heuer.
I a sense, they kind of already have... unofficially. There are plenty of pieces available with "Heuer" only branding, including the two in my collection; this one, and the Calibre 11 Monaco.
Christian, you and I had words during a watch event in New York a few years ago, soon as I walked in I ran into you and I showed you my newly released IWC spitfire which at the time you complimented me on the purchase. I gotta say you have matured while doing your channel and have looked pass the name on the dial of this particular piece you happily speak of, i own this one along with the Montreal both released in 2020. I've always been a Heuer fan especially Carreras in general. The H02 is amazing, 80 hrs power reserve on a single barrel with only 168 parts/components, which leads to more accuracy and less wear on the time only and chronograph mechanism when engaged. I like how you can speak maturely with passion about this Carrera then tomorrow tell us about a master Tourbillon. Good work.
That’s a gorgeous Chronograph! I’ve been obsessed lately with the current gen Chopard Mille Miglia because of the racing heritage but need to take a look at this.
This is the ideal chronograph for me as well. I've always loved the simplicity of it. I also am sick of fake old lume, give me a crispy white or better yet no paint hands.
Am I the only one who doesn't hate TAG Heuer making those flashy red/orange sports racing watches??? I mean, they kind of have their own identity and there are a lot of young sporty people who like them. All I ask is a clear differentiation of the 2, TAG for the big sports watches and Heuer for the classic racing ones. I just hope they make a normal version that doesn't cost 6k and they release a 2k version
Nice vdeo with excellent production quality. Were you actualy going to say that you prefer the 39mm size with the automatic movement? Just blink twice in your next video if you need help? LOL. Keep up the great content and keep evolving your tastes.
Do you think this limited version will retain value? I've come across this for 6290$. Thinking about it. Love the watch and the fact that it is limited. However there are currently about 4 other 160th limited models.
It wears very well given that the "glass box" crystal is at least 2mm tall. On my calipers it's 38.6mm, not 39mm but close. It's a stunning watch with a silver dial free from Day-Date aperture or text such as Chronograph, Automatic, Heritage etc. it's a home run Heuer!
I think the feeling of the wobbly rotor may be due to the off-the-shelf Valjoux movements having unidirectional winding, so it spins freely in the other direction which feels weird. I get that with my Miyota 9015 which is annoying. I'm guessing this new movement is bidirectional.

The Heuer Calibre 02 is an in-house movement but not an in-house design. Seiko sold them the movement and then Heuer reworked and modified it to their preferences. Heuer watches with the Calibre 02 have always been thick and tubby watches, how is this one?
Thanks, nice review. To my taste, I would rather have the Autavia Heritage Chronograph. Dial is more interesting to me, 100M water resistance, and an option for nice beads of rice style bracelet. Nice watch, but not for me.
@@tricky92x Probably one reason why I liked it. I wear a Breitling Superocean 80% of the time and the thing's a tank🤪. Everyone's taste is different, I guess 🙂👍
When this came out, I wanted this watch badly. I actually had the opportunity to buy the watch. When i tried it on at the boutique, it felt very light (I like watches which are heavier) and the finish was not what I expected. Along with the price and it was not manual winding, I passed on it. Shame really. Looks better on video and pictures than in reality. Just my opinion.
I couldn't understand why Tag Heuer cant make more of these more beautiful sensible watches than their current Carrera line? fedor if they did that they would probably sell only 200,000 watches rather than 750,000, they don’t quite have the luxury prestige of Rolex and Omega who sell between 800,000 and 1million a year. It would however put Heuer on an even Kiel with breitling
