    Indeed, a very good presentation of the Shure mv7 xlr setup. my friend and I are going to set up a UA-cam channel and pod casting in relation to a wide range of topics. We are going to name them (More Tackle Boxes and Less ex Boxes). Have a great day and all the best to you in the further.

    Very well done how to setup for this particular mic! You literally answered and explained any questions or concerns I might have had when considering this mic for my set up. Also I totally agree with the cosmetic perspective when it comes to the choice of wind screens and I would prefer the thinner wind screen since I do plan to use a camera for streaming. Thanks for the great how to guide and I def gave a like and sub!

    Hello Jordan ... Shure should be paying YOU!
    First of all let me say "Thanks" to you for this and indeed all your other videos I've come across over in 2022.
    The quality of your content and your presentation are seriously in the top tier of all videos I've watched related to audio related items, Shure as a brand for sure (pun intended) and general knowledge of how these things come together.
    I only just subscribed today Jan 1 2023 because I realized I wasn't subscribed but each time I needed to do some research regarding the Shure SM7B (which I own) your videos kept coming up in the results like clockwork.
    I feel as if I've cheated by not coming across your channel before now and supporting you by purchasing through your links where applicable but rest assured of something.
    I will be searching through your videos to see if there's anything I need for my recording purposes that I can buy through your links ... because you more than deserve to be compensated for your generosity with your knowledge and the professionalism and clarity with which you deliver the goods.
    I encourage everyone who finds these videos to subscribe and tell as many other people as possible about Jordan's channel 👏🏽
    🤫P.S. I've been using 48V phantom power the wrong way all this time. Even when I recently got the Vocaster One I still was using it incorrectly until today and watching your explanation - Even Shure doesn't come anywhere close to explaining their own products!

May I ask which is the BEST interface for voiceovers? Focusrite Vocaster One OR Focusrite Scarlett SOLO USB audio interface? Also, is the cloud lifter needed at all?

    Help! I bought a speaker Soundcore Rave+ (160W) that can be used as a karaoke machine with its mic input 6.3 mm. Not reading too much before, I bought Shure sm58 and XLR to 6.3mm jack extension, but the microphone doesn't work (can't hear anything). Now, from what I read, I need a preamp, but I completely don't know which one. Is preamp even enough to make it work or do I need something else as well?
    Again, I just want to plug it to the speaker and sing karaoke at home 😩

    Hey, great video! Quick question: Do you recommend getting the SM7dB? Or is it not necessary since you can get enough gain with an audio interface like the focusrite vocaster one?

    • @kettnercreative
      @kettnercreative  10 місяців тому

      I think the SM7dB is a complete waste of money. It's too little, too late. The internal preamp is noisy and horrible. Meanwhile all of the next gen preamps (Rodecaster Pro 2/Duo, Scarlett 2i2, etc. have more than enough gain for the SM7B.
      I'd spend my money on a new interface, or a cloudlifter that you can use with other microphones.

    • @PierceJPeterson
      @PierceJPeterson 10 місяців тому

      @@kettnercreative Sounds good. Thank you for the reply! So, if you had to pick one next gen preamp to recommend, which would it be? I basically want the least expensive option that will still be able to provide more than enough gain for the SM7B. I do not want to use a cloudlifter if I don't have to.
