The higher trim 2024s come with a traditional 8-speed auto with the torque converter. IVTs (aka CVTs) do not have a torque converter - they are completely different designs, like spark plugs in a diesel engine.

Maybe a silly question but is there dual climate control in the 2024 Seltos S? Based on photos alone, I’m not seeing 2 controls but wasn’t sure if that’s just not offered in this vehicle. I currently have a 2022 Forte GT-Line.

Sorry for the delay. I don't check comments too often. lol. But, no, the Seltos does NOT have dual climate control. It does have auto climate control on the S and above I believe. Thanks for the question.

Nice looking. But Kia and Hyundai vehicles still. # 1 worst according all consumer reports especially Seltos Engine fire possible and transmission failure still not fixed by manufacturers Still avoid most Korean vehicles and consider them to buy

Not sure what consumer reports your looking at. Kia & Hyundai are rated well in Consumer Reports magazine. The Seltos did have issues with its dual clutch transmission thus that was discontinued for the 2024 model and replaced with a conventional 8 speed automatic transmission.
