I'm slowly coming around about texting candidates as a follow up to previous emails and linkedIn connection request messages. You make an absolutely spot on point in that most people prefer texting over phone calls now. We all screen out incoming calls from phone numbers we don't recognize.
I'd love to add a link to the job that would take them to my careers page where they could not only review the JD but upload their resume if interested. I'm just wondering whether candidates would think it's a spam message with a nefarious link attached. But as you said, it's going to be several small chunks of communication. So maybe when they respond to the initial text, I could ask if they'd like a link to the JD?
Just wondering what your thoughts on that would be.
    Thanks!

A link does scare people with all this nonsense fraud. With that said, the text is the starter. You can send your Linkedin profile, then the job. Or what about a voice text? That's a cool feature via Linkedin as well as just normal text.
