I saw Tony and Jerry starring in a stage play called "So Long, Stanley" in 1979 in a dinner theater in Indiana. Chatted a little with them afterword. It was a wonderful experience.
It's a great show!!! Now, a lot of people were apparently miffed that Wally didn't marry Julie Foster. I didn't like Julie Foster. I thought her character was fake. Mary Ellen Rogers was more the girl next door type who I felt more drawn to. Also, another subtlety in the show was that Ward and June had great chemistry...you could tell that as a married couple, they were best friends and Ward's sense of humour was such a tease toward June. Ward was the moral force of that show, yet he was understanding and playful, too. He's of the best characters ever on TV.
Can you remember the name of the guy on 41 who hosted "All Night Live?" He would play Commando Cody, Sky Marshall of the Universe at 11pm each night and other such shows, before a late night movie. My dad and I used to watch it in Tulsa Oklahoma as 41 was one of our cable channels. My dad just told me this morning he's dying and when I saw this and you mentioning channel 41, it reminded me of those times. Thanks for loosening up my memory :)
Ed Muscari - he died 10 years ago. We went and pitched some video segments and material to him for the show he started on UHF station 62 before he went to KSHB channel 41. Here's clip from his later All Night Live that you remember watching: ua-cam.com/video/_n_pdScEQ0o/v-deo.html
Yes, Tony and Barbara here have passed on, and of course Hugh, Ken (Eddie), and Frank (Lumpy), but Jerry and the actors who played Gilbert, Richard, Larry, and Judy are still with us
Yes, saw that WDAF channel 4 dumped NBC in favor of Fox 25 years ago, so that was good opportunity for KSHB to become a major network affiliate in 1994.
@Emily Malden. I think she died in her early forties. She was a heavy smoker. A great teacher figure in the show. A great teacher in elementary school is a huge asset. I was blessed to have a great one in grades 3, 5, 6. He was similar to Miss Landers, firm but kind, funny and he knew how to teach. When he was a principal years later, I visited his office and told the staff he was my best teacher. Anyway, when I watch Miss Landers on MeTV, she represents the ideal teacher.
Love this❤️
I LOVE these two people
so respectful and decent
Loved finding this!
I loved Barbara's role in Airplane!

I saw that too and have the program from it

Walleye Cleavage was excellent in this presentation of _Leave it to Dinner Theatre._
Sadly they have all passed on now.

Channel 41 is now the NBC affiliate in KC, as Fox took over WDAF-TV, channel 4.

The actress that played Ms. Landers died of cancer in her 50's I believe.
