1. You feel like a silly goose wearing 5 fingers (my opinion) 2. The Besrfoot shoes offer a better feel as the toes are not separated by fabric and instead allowed to splay out naturally inside the shoe. They also, in my opinion, offer a better feel to the ground.
I lift barefoot. I will use socks if my feet are cold. I recently bought Sanabul grip socks for jiu jitsu and plan to use them for lifting. For 20 bucks I think they are a bargain.
I’m not a fan of chucks at all for lifting. Just my opinion and I totally get that some strong MFers have used that shoe, but I hate the narrow toe box and the lack of feel to the ground. This is why multiple differing opinions are good though because different folks have different viewpoints.
@@TheKurtlocker yeah. I get that. I wear red wing work boots pretty much 24/7 and have for literally decades. I tried some barefoot stuff a few years ago and I just couldn’t get used to it.
The bruin boots look awesome the wide toe box is great for a flat foot like mine. I need a steel toe and steel shank for my job otherwise I would get them.
Look into Jim Green's custom boot builder. They recently added a barefoot steel toe last which allows you to configure almost any of their available styles as a steel toe, zero drop, wide toe box boot, and you can even add a steel shank. Yeah not gonna be quite as flexible as a Bearfoot gym shoe, but still zero drop, wide toe box and still has both requirements of a steel toe and steel shank.
What kind of shoes do you prefer? High top or low top
You did not mention any size issues in the review so i will assume they fit true to size. Great review, thanks a lot!
This was my first shoe review and I totally blanked that for notes.
They fit true to size for me. I normally wear a 12 and I wore a 12 in this as well
For the purpose of training, how do the Ursus low top compare to the Vibram 5 fingers, if you’ve ever used those.

That’s another solution for sure. I personally prefer some sort of barrier that can take the pain of stepping on something with a sharp edge
Chucks. I’m not youtube celebrity fancy. Been wondering when the review was coming. Didn’t realize you had all the shoe.

Totally understand. For now I’m also in a position where I couldn’t wear these at work even if I wanted to

My need is for a combat boot. Awesome resource I didn’t know existed though.
Canvas look so much better to me
