Honestly speaking as a Rockies fan we need to do a reverse boycott like the A's did. I know the Monforts don't deserve a single dollar but they need to see our frustration firsthand.

I'm sure the Rockies would not object if Bryant requested to void his contract and become a free agent again. The guy has produced -0.6 WAR in his two seasons with the team. At this point, like Anthony Rendon, he's basically stealing money from his employer.

We need to stop buying tickets. The Rockies have one of the best ball park experiences in the nation so ownership knows they don’t need a winning product to turn a profit

As a fan of Colorado teams, it's just horrible to put this product on the field. The Montforts only care about making money and not putting a quality product on the field. The owners are businessmen and not true fans of the sport. Just terrible😢

This is why baseball viewership has decreased over 68 percent from the year 2000

The Rockies are the polar opposite of the rays. The Rays are always well run and almost always good or better than good, but have few fans. The Rockies are terribly run and usually terrible but still have fans…

we're used to it. a lot of fans i knew stopped watching after Nolan left. can't say i really watch baseball much but picking a GM over a world class player was stupid and then letting that GM walk without a press conference was infuriating. might as well move the team or change owners.

@@andrewriggs2023fan to fan. Obviously, native to native. Beyond losing Nolan, signing Bryant (money wise) blows my mind multiple time a day, even more so closer to opening day.

As a Rockies fan, we are not at rock bottom. The beginning of last season was truly rock bottom. We’re in a much better spot than we were last year, and we have a very underrated farm system. The future is actually looking very bright in Colorado. I am hopeful.

Not as long as the Monforts own the team. Not going to happen! Tovar, McMahon, and Doyle will all be gone next season or the season after, The only thing the Rockies farm system produces is players destined to perform and star for other teams. Period.

@@germanjack2350 Tovar was extended for 7 years, and the new GM Bill Schmidt seems to have an idea of what he’s doing. Realistically, with the roster we could have next year I think our goal will be to win around 70-75 games, and we could even be a darkhorse wildcard candidate next season.

    • @germanjack2350

@@kadencarlson8577 I am very sorry to read your comments. By the way Bill Schmidt has been GM of the Rockies since 5/3/2021. He was interim GM and then made permanent GM on 10/2/2021. He was a longtime scout for the Yankees, Indians, Reds and the MLB Combined scouting bureau. He seems to know how to grade prospects but doesn't know how to say no to the Monforts when they do stupid things. Case in point: In 2021, Nolan Arenado was in his second year of a 5 year contract that paid him $35 million. Arenado told then GM Jeff Bridich that he was not happy with Rockies ownership because they had not even tried to improve the team after the 2018 season, in which they had qualified for the NL Playoffs. In 2019, the year after, Rockies were in last place (59-78) on MLB Trade Deadline day (7/31/2019). I know this for a fact as i was witnessed to, along with Dodgers radio voice Charlie Steiner as he was walking to his broadcast booth. As we passed by the Rockies executive offices, the office was totally dark and unoccupied. Strange thing that was because the MLB Trade Deadline Day is the busiest day of the season, next to MLB Draft Day. Steiner made a remark that it was hardly any wonder that the Rockies lose year after year. Arenado in early 2021, told Jeff Bridich to trade him or otherwise Arenado would exercise a free agent clause in his contract, which would make him a free agent for the 2022 season. Bridich asked Arenado to reconsider on making his decision until after the 2021 season was over. Arenado agreed, but low and behold, on 2/1/2021, Dick Monfort traded Arenado to St. Louis just for the price of getting rid of his $35 million contract plus 3 minor leaguers and Austin Gomber and Elehuris Montero. So Dick Monfort gave away possibly the best fielding third baseman of all time , for virtually nothing in return (except perhaps, Gomber.). Jeff Bridich resigned as GM the next day (2/2/2021) as he was not consulted by Dick Monfort about the trade. Lackey Bill Schmidt replaced Bridich as Interim GM on 5/3/2021. I feel that you are very young. Tovar's 7 year extension will mean nothing if the Monforts decide to dump salary just as they had done with Tulowitzki, Story, LeMahieu and Arenado. What about the 70-75 win season that you expect in 2025? Well, good luck with that my friend. The other three teams in the NL West are constantly trying to improve as they are getting tired of finishing behind the Dodgers. The Dodgers since 2013, have won 11 NL West titles and finished 106-56 in 2021 to the Giants 107-55 finish. The Dodgers then beat the Giants and knocked them out, before the Dodgers lost to the Braves in the NLCS. The Dodgers are usually always improving their team through free agency, trades and their own superb farm system. So 70-75 wins will guarantee the Rockies another last place finish and will spur the Monforts to another dumping salary frenzy. I hope you now can see that it is good to be opimistic about the Rockies' future. However the reality of the Rockies' losing past will bust your buns every season. Keep your hopes up and DON'T VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS! They are even bigger losers than the Rockies! Cheers!

@@germanjack2350 you don’t need to break down every move for me, I’ve been a Rockies fan my whole life and I’ve literally witnessed every move they’ve made and it’s pained me. However, I like the direction we’re heading. It’s the first time I’ve felt hope in a while. We’ll see who’s laughing when the Rockies make the playoffs in two years. Obviously you don’t pay much attention to what’s actually going on or else you see the promise the next generation of young talent brings. Also, how dare you accuse me of being a democrat, I would never be liberal to save my life.

I'm not a fan of the Rockies. A team can only sign players that are willing to go there. Many teams are limited in who is available to them.
Kris Bryant needs to stop being a baby. He took the most money offered. He's trying to take the focus off of him not playing or producing. He would ask for a trade but obviously no one wants what the Rockies are stuck with. The reality is the team screwed up by signing him and he's extremely lucky they gave him so much. He's washed up. He's irrelevant now and would be on any team.

Idk who Chris Bryant is but if he's unhappy he signed a 7 year deal then he can void the contract and enter free agency. Go ahead and let Colorado off the hook.

rockies are on the come up trust. Their ownership is god awful but I think their GM Bill schmidt is actually pretty solid. They also have a lowkey elite farm system that nobody talks about.

Bill Schmidt is a toady, a sycophant, a lackey for the Monforts. When he worked for the Pirates, Schmidt got rid of Clint Hurdle. The Pirates haven't been in the playoffs since. Enough said!
