  • This update to the original Sashmate® demonstration film shows the Sashmate® Top Hung in operation.

    Hello Nozzer8691 thanks for the comments. The Sashmate top hung main solid rods are 1m in length. Which enables repairs to be carried out to top hung casements above, below and inbetween transoms as long as the total window outerframe/reveal height is more than a metre in height. If you need to work on a window with a reveal height as small as 650mm then simply use the Telescopic Main Rods. Please see the Sashmate Channel or search for Sashmate Telescopic.     Just to clarify something regarding my last response. The components slide freely up and down the solid main rods so as the film shows working above a transom bar the unused/overhang solid main rod faces down over the fix or opener below. Working below a transom on the same window would mean the overhang would face up over the fix or opener above. Finally if work is on an opener between transoms then the overhang could be shared above and below, covering the fix or openers above and below.

    Looks like a clever bit of kit, BUT. . . Please explain how it works when the window you are replacing the hinges on has a cill below it as 99% of the the ones I repair do. There are 2 big rods where the cill would be !!!
