Just subscribed!! And this is a great vid. This is definitely thought provoking especially when we consider the sorting hat said that Harry would have done well in Slytherin house and years later, told him that it stood by that judgment. (I personally wonder if it came to that conclusion because it could sense the fragment of Voldemort within him) Ambition and cunning are not bad qualities the people who have them are bad. Add to that the houses founder. I guess this would theorize some of the great potential the hat was eluding to. Great vid!!
nice story, but here is my personal point of view. hope you like it: the first great change would be that Harry would never learn that Hermione doesn't know about the troll in the dungeon so she would die in first year. Harry also wouldn't become seeker. at least not until his fifth year if not later or never. Snape wouldn't take that many points from Harry and would, probably, see him more as Lily's son despite looking like James. I'm not sure if Harry would try to stop snape/quirrel from getting the stone (or if that he would even care about it) but, if voldemort gets the stone, they are all f*cked up. let's assume that, somehow, he fails to get the stone. either the same way that the canon or because quirrel can't get the stone out of the mirror. I wonder what would happen at the dursley between first and second year since I doubt the weasley would rescue harry since he never befriended any weasley. this means harry wouldn't meet Ginny at the burrow. this also means harry wouldn't use the weasley car to go to hogwarts and he wouldn't miss the sorting ceremony. the duel between draco and harry during second year wouldn't happen or, at least, snape wouldn't tell draco to use the serpensortia. so the school wouldn't find about harry being parselmouth. being a slytherin, harry wouldn't be at the party of nearly headless Nick so he wouldn't be found near the petrified cat nor that much worried about the petrified students since they aren't from his house. it's highly probable that harry wouldn't rescue Ginny. which means Tom Riddle would be back to life (knowing that Harry Potter is a Slytherin student. what a shock!!!) this also means Ginny would die at the chamber. never to be found. the diary wouldn't be destroyed, Dobby wouldn't be free and the basilisk will stay alive. can things go worse? would Dumbledore find about young Tom Riddle being alive again? if so, what steps would he take? would he learn about the horcruxes? the most interesting part of third year is that Sirius would try to enter gryffindor's dorms which would confuse everybody. also, no hermione to buy a cat that helps Sirius and no time turner to rescue Sirius. your guess is as good as mine about Sirius being spared or not. it's even possible that Sirius fails to scare Petigrew's identity and Ron keeps his rat-pet. by the way, you can be sure the twins won't give harry the marauder's map. during fourth year we have several possible scenarios depending on Peter and young Tom. maybe it happens like canon with Tom not participating, maybe Tom takes Peter's place, maybe Barty takes Peter's place with tom posing as a fresh student or, maybe, it doesn't happen anything. this could mean that harry doesn't participate in the triwizard, has a peaceful fourth year and adult voldemort isn't back but let's assume the ritual happens, adult voldemort is back, cedric is dead and harry makes public that voldemort is back. (without knowing there's two of them) why? so we can have umbridge on fifth year. it would be interesting to see the interactions between Harry, Draco, Snape, Dumbledore and Umbridge. by the way, having a slytherin at the order of the phoenix would be priceless. can you imagine how pissed would be Ron to share house with a slimy snake? one thing is for sure, there wouldn't be any DA (no hermione to begin with), the battle at the ministry wouldn't happen and harry wouldn't learn the full prophecy. the last two years are beyond what I can plan since we have deviated too much from the canon but we can be sure that harry wouldn't get Snape's old potions book so he wouldn't try to find about the half-blood prince and dumbledore may not relinquish his life since he never found about the horcruxes from the diary. that means no curse on his hand from using the ring. what would he do about Draco having to kill him? no idea but, I'm sure he wouldn't let draco kill him nor severus would kill dumbledore. last year promises to be interesting. no hermione, no sirius, no ron's friendship, no knowledge about the horcruxes, hogwarts under death eaters control and there may be one or two voldemort. yep. Harry is f*cked up. Voldemort wins. FATALITY.
