15 years late to the party, and we still haven't arrived at the party here in the US. Looks like a very attractive hot hatch option. I would be very interested to drive it, if it was sold here in the US. I have test driven both manual and dsg versions of the VW GTI, and they are certainly very good cars. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the VW/GTI felt a bit underwhelming to me, especially considering all the hype and favorable reviews. The Ford Focus ST actually felt sportier and more fun to drive, yet less refined. So again, I would be interested in test driving this car to see how it compares to those other sporty hatchbacks available in the US.
Hello, we plan to return to the United States by 2025, although now with the acquisition and merger of our PSA group (Peugeot Socé Anonyme) with FCA, it promises to be our arrival before! Having an official presence in North America: Mexico since 2004. In the US it will first be with Peugeot (3008 II, 5008 II, 508 II, 2008 II and possibly the future tenth generation of this Series 308), followed by the portfolio of the premium brand DS Automobiles, Citroën and finally Opel. A cordial greeting.
Only hot hatch with forged pistons so you can drive it like it should be driven straight from the dealer, hard and fast while all other hothatches need to be driven easy few thousand miles due to regular cast aluminium pistons. Yeah Peugeot 308 GTI is trully a special car.
Hope they bring the French cars again in the USA. And Peugeot is no exception. Someday they will show it on the Price is Right game show in the near future. Standard equipments are AM/FM push button radio, 6-speed manual transmission, ( a 4-speed automatic transmission is also available at extra cost), heater, and carpeting are included in these features.
Dear Caradvice, in this video, at around 5:07 the presenter mentions there is "a lot of feel through the steering". Now I am in the market to buy a hot hatch and only yesterday test-drove one. I had a great time, but because I only had a 10 minute drive, I wasn't really focused or dialled-in on how the steering felt. Many other reviewers and reviews have said that this car lacks steering feel. I would like to know from this presenters honest opinion, or from a valid CarAdvice enthusiast what the overall consensus is on this 270's steering feel. Please, and much appreciated.
Zoltan Vincze Im still waiting for a call up to test drive. The 1600cc engine means i'll pay like 40% less tax compared to a 2l. Some reviews say the feedback is a major flaw, clarkson loves that car and others find it brilliant.. Ofcourse you cnt buy a car based of reviews, but it was all different to sme degree. Anyways if you do get to drive it again, let me knw man. Cheers
Any chance they can get rid of this lame reviewer who never sounds convincing and everything he says sounds like he is capable of remembering a script, get him out of cars please
Live the fact it has a manual gearbox

Zoltan Vincze puzzled as well. Did you test drive it again?
Ashneel P No mate haven't had the chance. I did love my initial test drive though. 9/10. The steering height blocking the taco was a bit disconcerting

Gti ’s should be Only Two Doors
The plastic and the leather looks cheap at the back... and the front looks too simple. Not sure if good or bad.
