I mean, he kinda did this on the Sonic X anime when he covered the sun with the Eggmoon and made everyone think he hadn't anything to do with it, then built artificial suns for everyone which actually were mind controlling devices, became praised by all the population, he even made everyone turn against Sonic and almost overthrows the president but of course Sonic and friends saves the day at the end.
I wonder if Dr robotnik in real life would be more like an evil CIA person and would be jigsaw with a big robotics stash and say hi world I want to play a game and just wonder I mean it's real life right would he really be the child friendly character we all know or would he be a bit more like jigsaw but high tech in CIA related in real life with military stuff
Given Eggman’s superhuman IQ, I believe that he would be able to take over the world with an army of robots with no problem. In the games, he was seen with this huge fleet of flying battleships, giving him an advantage of attacking anywhere he wants to. And he’s smart enough to make sure all his plans were carried out in secret. If Dr. Eggman was real, I would just say “Screw it, I’m joining the Eggman Empire”.

Plus, this mad man would never let the government know where he is, he has devices that could scramble their radar, he could hide in the Death Egg (in space mind you) and hologram, or have a robot copy of him self rule as him while he controls everything from afar. Not only that, even is the civilians were to fight, we need to remember that this mad man's machine would kill them if they have to, no second thought and if anything; he can turn them into robots as well. If he was real and if there was no one smart enough or powerful enough to stop him: we're looking at a new ruler.
In one of the sonic games it's mentioned that Eggman a CEO of various dummy companies that actually sell his weapons and machines to private security firms. It's an interesting way of explaining how eggman funds his operations and how Eggman's influence can spread in unseen ways. BTW. They are used to protect military sites... From eggman. XD
If that is true then I think the only reason the military is ok with eggman is because in the sonic-universe people have not a care in the world with harming nature, so I think the military are fine with eggman because eggman is only destroying South Island 😊

I’m a sonic fan but I’m gonna wait till the movie comes out on DVD and Blu-ray and I have a bunch of favorite sonic characters, so I can’t chose which one is my favorite but if I would tell you that Sonic would be one of them.
My favorite character in Sonic? I’m going to have to cheat a bit and say the Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad (AKA Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts.) They may have been dumb-bots in AoSTH but they provided a lot of laughs. Besides, there’s nothing saying they can’t become smarter and more serious threats if they ever return.

Eggman will more likely take over the world if there was no other Sonic character to stop him as without anyone to stop him from the Sonic universe than it wouldn’t really matter as his robotic army would probably overwhelm the world armies and if he gets his hands on something powerful like if he has the Chaos Emeralds then even if the world teams up to stop Robotink than it wouldn’t really matter as the Chaos Emeralds would be more powerful than nuclear energy so if the Emeralds are thrown in then it wouldn’t really matter or if he has his Eggfleet than it would dominate the sky and airforce and then there is the DeathEgg where he would probably have his own version of the Death Star and would probably easily take over any as he pleases and if even if he doesn’t have the DeathEgg than his most powerful robotic minions like Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Silver Sonic, Mecha Knuckles and other top Badniks would turn the tables in his favor as no one else Would be able to make a robotic minon that powerful unless they get lucky and take them down but it’s super unlikely without Sonic or anyone else to stop him so in conclusion without Sonic the hedgehog or a hero of the Sonic franchise thrown in the scenario so unless the world gets lucky than Eggman stomps the world easily
