- Learn how to make your own stinger transition with a built-in track matte using After Effects. You'll even be using your own logo and brand colors so it's fully customized for your own stream on Twitch, UA-cam, or Facebook. When I drag it to the left, 12:37 everything is fine, but when I drag it to the right, only the png appears on the right, 12:49 the inside of the circle does not become empty.

Let me say one thing, I found SO MUCH VALUE in this tutorial. This was literally my first ever project in After effects; whenever the next step didn't match Pete's look, I just rewinded a few seconds back, and got back on track. That wouldn't have been possible if Pete wasn't as DETAILED as he was. My goodness, if I needed more help in After effects, I honestly would pay for his courses because I know his teaching skills are 10/10. With Pete's help, I was able to make a killer stinger transition for my new stream! Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial; my success in duplicating this transition beings me so much joy and motivation to do another :) I am so glad I subscribed to your channel!

An absolutely brilliant tutorial. I had never made a single click in After Effects, but followed this step by step, watching it at half speed so I could follow along closely, and made exactly what I needed for a logo stinger transition. This couldn't be better.

just completed the stinger transition for myself and it was quite a journey ... i couldnt get the light sweep tp work correctly i dont know what i was doing wrong but maybe ill try again soon .... the video was awesome and very informative ... ive learned so much about streaming through this channel $$$$$
I can tell you what i did wrong. i didnt press the stop watch on the effect position, but instead i pressed "p". that doesnt work for effect position.

Thanks so much will try this. Will have to setup a windows drive (or virtual machine) on my linux PC to use After Effects unless there's a Linux alternative though I suppose all the options and commands would be different. Great work, many thanks, have learnt a lot from your vids

Hello I'm a little French guy who was looking for a nice transition for his future streams, very good video really keep it up and thank you for all.
Really useful tutorial, didn't have too much trouble following despite never touching after effects before. A couple tweaks I tried to get better results: (1) Don't increase the scale of the logo circle in the track matte composition. If you do, it'll show a sliver of the wrong scene around the moving logo. The ring of white on the track matte doesn't actually matter because it's covered by the colored ring from the stinger, and the track matte is only relevant for areas that are transparent in the stinger. (2) Instead of sending to Adobe Media Encoder, add to render queue and use the "High Quality with Alpha" preset. The webm output was noticeably degraded with aliasing around the circles and I couldn't figure out how to get better quality with any of the settings I tried.

Hey Pete really enjoyed this and soon as I get home from work I’ll be trying this. Is there any chance you could do one for creating custom alerts for subs/bits/followers?
I followed along and it turned out absolutely great. Two things I'd love answers on. 1. How would I change the colours of the circles etc once they have been done if I change my mind on which ones from my brand I would prefer to use. And 2. Is there a way to have the transition blur the background of the first scene and second scene to fade in and out as the scene changes to make the stinger logo stand out more. I'd love if someone could answer this. Thanks so much though this was an amazing tutorial.👍👍👍
