I could have a million dollars and it would still be the dumbest purchase ever.
It depends. If you're a C-level executive making millions per year, you'd get a lot of mileage out of this purchase. They will literally fly a guy to wherever you are to fix your phone and give you a loner in the process. Millionaire business people flying around making deals won't have the time to wait around at the Verizon store with the rest of us peasants.
_Then after waiting 30 mins, the guy will likely tell them there's nothing he can do and we'll have to ship it off, which may take weeks. Because anyone working in the store is a low level tech person, not a systems engineer. Meaning store personnel can only resolve the most basic of issues. Besides, most ITSec policies for major companies forbid turning their phones over to a shop for execs at that level, because it contains lots of proprietary information._
The amazing customer service and very high levels of encryption and security would be a smart purchase for the right demographic.

Remember, I'm not talking about some local business person. I'm talking about people making well over $10,000,000 per year (8 figures). These are the types that take $20k vacations, and drop $1k on dinner and drinks in one sitting. $20k for a phone like this (even if just for bragging rights to 1up their rich friends) is nothing to them.
Everything is relative. To someone in a third world country, many of the things you purchase would seem like a pure waste of money to them.

Even funnier, it's already outdated for flagship standards. It has a Snapdragon 810 and an Adreno 430, while all the major flagships this year (LG G5, S7, HTC 10, Note 7, O+3T) have a Snapdragon 820/821 and an Adreno 530, iwth the SD 830 coming really soon.

-2 microSD card expansion slots
-the best specs (obviously)
-exchangeable battery
-waterproof up to like, 1KM of salt water, at least for 1hour
Also it should come with:
-headphones (not earbuds, or both)
-a second phone as a backup
-10 charging cables
-3 strippers (you can choose their sex, man/woman/apache)
-someone who follows you around while humming Smashmouth's Allstar (24/7)
