Remember coming home unexpectedly after a year away overseas in the Navy. I wanted to surprise the family, so I didn't tell anyone. When I got there, everyone was gone -- they'd gone on vacation. I spent the few days of leave I had in the empty house, then went back to my duty station. It was kind of sad.
I will say this every time I watch one of these videos, to all our Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines thank you for your service and come home safe. Each of you are sorely missed by us.

I was impressed very much. Tears do not stop. I do not know how long it is a reencounter that I do not meet, but the smile of father mother when I met again and the face surprised at very much of the child are wonderful very much both.

Videos of younger siblings hugging their older siblings give me so much joy. My sister Megan and I are very close. She’ll be 13 this year. I always tell her no matter how old she gets she’ll always be my baby sister. Next time she visits I’m gonna hold her tight and tell her how much I missed her and how much she means to me. As for my other siblings we get along as well. I think of all the fun stuff my older brother and I did when we were kids. Always nice to have those flashbacks.
