It makes me laugh when you see sea monsters in drawings like in the thumb nail that are huge and gargantuan, and yet they’re trying to eat a human which is tiny in comparison, it almost makes me think of someone scouring a Walmart for a single cheetoh lol
Also weird how big ass sea monsters are eating humans when they'd really probably act like whales and only eat really tiny things like plankton.

Did anyone else catch that that the 3 characters were on the boat,then instantly on the stairs!! To get dave back?? (Teleportation took place!!) And that the boat was 20 miles away?? When the mc left the stairs,after dave dissapeared?? How did he get instantly get back to his boat?? & then to the hospital.? (Teleportation.)

I love that you picked up on this- it was to imply they weren't actually "travelling" to these places in a conventional way- the stairs were kind of creating this illusion while their bodies were decaying inside, ie they never physically left. I didn't do it too well but thank you for pointing it out, cause I was hoping someone would notice!!!

Wow, that was like a Stephen King story. In that it contained a number of disparate plot threads and the ending was a massive disappointment.

@@justintime6242 How about an ending that actually functions as a conclusion to the story? The guys go back to the stairs to find out what happened to their friend and then suddenly they're transported to some underwater hell, then the narrator inexplicably makes it out alive. It makes no sense and has no thematic payoff.
@@pwnshhhop51 they were all passed out on the boat the whole time, the narrator was in a comatose state and lucidly dreamt the whole thing, he woke up in an OR.
@@wendigo3349 That's makes sense, but as a story, it's still really underwhelming. There doesn't seem to be any deeper meaning and there's no emotional connection to make us care about what's happening to the guys. And in the end, it's almost too surreal to be scary.
Too many family members and friends are spirits now..and horrible malicious things have happened to them after they died..my uncle david's sprit was stook in limbo for many years..and he was being inpersonated by something neffarious.. then his spirit was kidnapped by something evil,sme thing happened again to a 2nd family member,she was being inpersonated by a demonic entity..after she went missing,than a black mass spirit caused my tabby cat to go missing..when it rains it pours!!Dave in the story speaking to his buddy before he dissapeared,caused me to share my story..our family has been dealing with paranormal for decades..stay safe people! If you can? We have'nt been for a # of years now,no matter what forms of protection we have used...it turns out the only true safety is what (your) spirit creates for you..otherwise your just chasing,a cruel,hurtful lie..

I don't think that the human body *is made of* enough liquid to vomit from that far out until reaching the shore...and then some. At some point, dryheaving happens when you run out of vomit, but since he wasn't, he shouldn't really have a body anymore due to throwing all of his insides up. Then again, supernatural and magic, so I can imagine logic kind of taking a backseat at the time.

mmmm.... yeah this one doesn't do much for me. its not poorly structured or anything, but the setup versus the actual horror feels kind of incongruous. the actual descriptions were pretty creepy though, even if i felt like not describing the big monster was a huge copout. not bad, just not my thing. like a 5 or a 6 out of 10

It’s a shame I can’t enjoy these like I used to without being hyper critical. Honestly this story feels like the author thought it up and wrote it in a single night. It’s just a bunch of different ideas all cobbled together in an uninspired way. Like I get the idea is that they went down the stairs when they first saw them and the entire first part was an illusion, but like come on… Give the reader context clues, don’t just throw in random weird crap in there for the sake of it. Everything in your story should have a point, or reason to be there , and many parts of this story simply have no reason or purpose. Really a shame
