Thank you for your sweet smile and laugh while discussing Opal❣️
She would make a GREAT camouflaged ride in Wyoming ! LOL The rocks, outcrops, sage brush, willows, patchy snow, and more
    Very beautiful and unusual.
p.s. forgot the snow ! Lol

Oh yeah, telltale Appy eye and tail.
And she’s got that baroque shape that old school Appys have before they became “quarterloosa”

Take a look at what the Nez Perce tribe is raising now. It can be found on Google.

Great video, very interesting. I wonder, as some of these types are associated with Appaloosas, do any of them also have the pink and black freckled skin under their coat?

Thank you! 💖 And yes! Both Sedona and her son Rio have mottling (those black speckles on pink skin) visible on their muzzles, and in baby Rio's case, appearing around his eyes too. Opal's eyelids are black, and as her muzzle is dark too we can't see any mottling there, but in other areas on her body we can see those flecks. It would be super interesting to be able to send a sample of their DNA to UC Davis to get them color tested, and see what genes exactly are working under the hood for both Opal and Sedona!
