    Thanks for the video, Nick. Your shave videos are by far the best, and I am so glad you’re back in the game. Thank you for finding the time to do this again despite being super busy with life and all. And, thank you for what you do...being a Dr. is very admirable.
    I’m glad you mentioned Stirling Soap Co. They have basically out competed pretty much every other soap in my den. I have about 12 soaps currently in rotation and 11 of them are Stirling.
    As for Feather blades, they are also my favorite. Always super sharp, always giving a comfy close shave. I change them out after 2 shaves, because I have a coarse beard and blades are cheap enough anyway.
    Thanks again Nick!

    Hi Nick I had used feather blades but was not overly impressed. Having seen your video I decided to try a feather in my Rockwell something I had not tried. I was amazed as I had an excellent shave. Smooth no nicks or cuts just a good comfortable shave. After my experience in the Rockwell I will have no hesitation in buying and using them again.

You should check out some Horse Hair brushes, I personally haven't had any issues with them. They are collected naturally from the brushes when horses are groomed. So it's pretty awesome to know it's not harming anyone or anything :) Vie-Long Brown Horse Hair has been my favorite!

    Hi Nick thanks for sharing your opinions found it very interesting. It's good to have your opinions to narrow the field for us as it is not practical for many of us to buy all the different products available.
    i agree 100% with the Rockwell I love mine. I haven't tried any think like the amount of blades you have tried but so far given everything price, comfort, quality etc I find Astra a good choice. As a UK resident I tend to use Tobs though again I am working my way though different soaps I am looking forward to trying DR Harris soap not cream but cannot buy locally will have to take a trip to London. In the Uk we have Palmolive which is excellent for the price, Stick 75p Cream £1.80, this was the first soap I used when I first started shaving over 50 years ago and it's still going strong.
    Keep up the good work and glad to see you back.

    Nick, You are the first person I have heard say that Feather blades are long lived. How many shaves do you get out of these blades?
    Many comment that the Feather blade "loses it's sharpness" after the first use. I suspect that it remains perfectly usable, but would require a different aggressiveness setting on the razor for subsequent shaves. Many users state that they treat Feather blades as single use blades. IMO, these are expensive as single use blades... hence my inquiry.

    • @nickshaves
      @nickshaves  4 роки тому

      I think that they keep their sharpness for 2 shaves, then it starts to dull. But, I continue to use the blade, it still gives and excellent shave that is smooth, just doesn’t have the extreme edge

    Hey Nick. My friend Aji has asked me if you'd like to try one of his brand new razors which is an H&S Co N075 razor. I've tried it myself and it is a very fine razor. And that's saying something considering how many razors I have. I was really impressed by this thing. Anyhow please let me know if you'd like to try it and where to send it. I've included my email address and Facebook link below. I will delete them in a couple days if I don't hear back from you.
