Walking on a high ledge, over looking crowds while carrying a high powered weapon about to kill someone but still making sure his suit is still proper is probably the most Bond thing ever.
@@SaberRexZealot I think he just mistook the blow-out of the block (I think it was the bag which would have been the bomb for the attack on the stadium) for an explosive bullet
Agreed. Major swag from Craig in this scene leading right up to the incredible helicopter fight. Craig will be missed. He's hands down in my view the best To ever portray the Bond character. Realistic, gritty and with excellent acting ability that none of the other actors really possessed with the exception of Timothy Dalton. Craig totally resuscitated the Bond genre single handedly and made it relevant again, bringing it out of the bland dark ages.
@@fitzgeraldanthony9333 Yeah but the problem is this, every generation says that about their generations current James Bond! My parents swore up and down that Sean Connery was the best. I personally believe no one will ever come close to doing as good as Roger Moore did, and so on and so forth. You can’t really compare any of the bonds to Yesterdays because movies were different and you will watch a scene from a Roger Moore version and it will look ridiculous to you, but in my day that was current technology and awesome stuff!!!
@@louisp.3332 yeah that’s exactly right. I say the same for pierce cause he was during my time. At this point I just accept every bond did it right because they brought something out of the character which made it good. Though storylines themselves are a different topic
Craig is better than Connery. Sean was good but lacked depth as an actor and it showed in his interpretation of Bond in his later efforts. Actually by the time he did Gold Finger his interpretation was turning into a subtle to later blatant parody. His Bond was too Hollywood predictable and when he did strive for more complexity it just wasn't convincing. Craig on the other hand a formidable stage actor, brought Bond from the novels to life in a BIG way. Convincing, realistic, Gritty and with plenty of depth. The only other Bond actor that comes close is Timothy Dalton who like Craig had excellent depth as an actor.
My ranking for James bond opening scenes- Casino royale - Chase sequence on construction site Skyfall - Chase sequence in Istanbul No time to die - Chase sequence in Italy Quantum of solace - Chase sequence on roof Spectre -Walking on roof
Spectre was the best pre credits sequence of the Daniel Craig era, although No Time to Die’s was a close second, the single pan shot of him walking upstairs and then along the top of the building, then the building falling down to the chase and the helicopter sequence was a great opening to the film. Skyfall’s pre credit sequence is a decent fight scene as well but the first three Craig films pre credit sequences aren’t as good as Spectre and No Time to Die’s.
Wow, I mean, he was being SO stealthy, trying SO hard to conceal himself and not be seen, I just can’t wrap my brain around how on EARTH he was spotted???
The photography is awesome as there is no shaky moments it is as if you are watching from the roof top uninterrupted. Daniel Craig has brought a new dimension to Bond persona usually associated with girls and gadgets. Quantum of Solace is his best. Waiting to watch " No time to die. "
You know this guy reaaaaally sucks at being a spy when a simple assassination mission turns into blowing up 3 buildings and losing the target in a fucking carnival
Pistol caliber carbine with a vis laser and iron sights. Lmao. Its like they asked a ten-year-old to draw the gun that Bond would use for an assassination and went with it.
It's said 007 will meet his end in the new movie, which reflects the UK's decay. It's better for the world if Brits stay at home, battling the Scotts and .Irish
If that was me, I'd be two steps out on the first ledge, and I'd have some Karen bursting out of her patio window yelling, "you're on private property, what's your name, I'm calling the police, if you have a manager, I want to speak with him, RIGHT F#@$&*G NOW!!"
Why is the building so fragile? Before it was hit by the earthquake, it was already destroyed Buat bangunan kok rapuh,, belum kena gempa bumi sudah hancur
For the entire scene I was just waiting for one of the bad guys to spot Bond's laser on the wall or their clothes. But kudos to the film that that did not happen! They spotted it in the smoke ...🙄
I'm a great fan of the pre - title sequences in Bond movies and unfortunately I didn't really feel this scene. Too over the top, destroying the whole block, fighting in a helicopter, it ruined the climate.
It's amazing how quickly a movie can lose all credibility. This one does it in the opening scene! (1) Long, unbroken tracking shot that follows Bond as he walks through the crowd, accompanies girl up to hotel room, steps out of window, walks across high ledge, and stops on rooftop - "Wow, this movie is starting off really well!" (2) Explosion from within brings down entire building - "Okay, THAT was unexpected!" (3) Bond falls onto conveniently placed sofa. - "Um, wait a minute..." (4) Bond exits the rubble still in pursuit of his quarry - and all the spectators are just *standing there* looking at the destroyed building, instead of running away in a blind panic! - "Wait a sec'! Didn't they hear the bomb go off? Why is everyone just STANDING AROUND looking confused?"" (5) Two blocks down, the celebration is STILL CONTINUING! Nobody seems to be aware that a BOMB just went off, and a BUILDING GOT DESTROYED! A TERRORIST ATTACK JUST OCCURRED, AND EVERYBODY IS STILL PARTYING! "Okay, this movie is not going to be anywhere near as good as "Skyfall!"
