I used to love the power cuts as a child. Mum and Grandma use to bake potatoes, toast bread on an open fire and we would go out and see the stars at night, the cuddle into out beds talking all night until we went to sleep. I miss power cuts.

This is an incredible find! Up until now I believed the only footage available was my “off air” Betamax recording of a clip from this Showaddywaddy performance featured on a TVAM interview with Dave Bertram (lead singer of Showaddywaddy) from 1987 when he was promoting their “relaunch” and the release of “Why?”
    This is AMAZING!
Thank you so much for posting 👍🏻😊

I have Singles by All of these Acts. I remember watching this back In the day. I was routing for Showaddywaddy a combination of two groups, Choice and the Velvet Hatters, They would do a rock n roll jam together at the end of the night hence two drum kits. Dry Ginger and Trotto were both shown in episodes of panel show _It's Only TV But I Like It_ in the Opportunity Knockers round. In that round, the teams are shown three different acts from various talent shows such as _New Faces, Opportunity Knocks_ or _The David Essex Showcase,_ and asked to identify which of the three acts was still performing at the time of recording (between 1999 and 2002).

It was a show that we could watch literally as a family, even as a nation. ATV could certainly do no wrong when it came to great shows that we could all watch, not like the ITV or any other station of now turning all progressive on us and literally not caring about or for those who preferred only just plain poppy stuff.
