Zero. The Reploid who got me into the Mega Man series, and who’s game series I first played. He’s badass, he’s brave, but most of all even if he doesn’t see himself as one he’s a hero who inspires everyone to do what’s right no matter the cost. Rest in peace, Legendary Maverick Hunter Zero.
Zero's fate is left unknown as said in the artbook. Regardless if he's still alive, his entire existence was to be the best of a mad scientist's works from a past forgotten age; being a unstoppable killing robot and unable to think for himself without any other purpose. However when he had met X, he learned how to feel the same emotions as him yet he hides them though the deaths of those he grown close to and his true self made him realize he could never live a peaceful life.
The reason why it says that he is "Missing in Action" it's because Ciel said that he'll come back, basically lying to the Resistance members and the people in the settlement. She secretly knows that he won't be coming back, so she lied to make people still hold on to hope.

Really, the only thing people need to know to make Zero the most badass character in the franchise boils down to this: remember Mega Man 1? 'Fight for everlasting peace?' Dr. Light built Rock/Mega and X to save the world and fight off Wily. But all through Mega Man and Mega Man X, neither robot could do it. Neither robot could truly save the day. Come Zero, the world finally finds a hero. Built by Dr. Wily over 300 years ago, by all means outdated in comparison to other robots (to the point he's the only 'Robot Master' left in the entire world, now filled with reploids), Zero ends up doing what Mega Man couldn't. Zero ends up fulfilling Dr. Light's wish: his final sacrifice gives the world 200 years of undisputed peace at least, and finally allows humans and reploids to come together. And in a weird and ironic, but fitting way, by doing so Zero also fulfilled every goal his creator Dr. Wily had. Dr. Wily's had three main goals throughout his life and Zero met every goal and in truly Wily fashion, by failing to do so the normal way. One, to destroy his rival's final creation, Mega Man X. And Zero ended up befriending X, However Zero would later destroy X's perfect physical copy, Copy X. Two, Surpass Doctor Light. Zero accomplished this, not by beating X, but by fulling X's mission to unify Humans and Machines. Despite X being built for that purpose and his best efforts was unable to accomplish during his time. Zero carried his legacy and was the one to reach that goal. Three, from Mega Man 11, we learn that before Wily turned evil, he wanted to build a robot with the power to be seen as a hero. Zero was made with the power to bring about the end of times and ruin to civilization, but it is this very power that makes him a hero. Zero fulfilled the wishes of both Dr. Light and Dr. Wily by going his own course.
Copy-X was not a perfect physical copy of X. He believed himself to be, as he had the same abilities such as the Nova Strike and the exact same appearance (minus the red eyes).

While Zero's fate is unknown, he nor Weil had been seen for 5 months after the Ragnarok incident. That concludes the Zero timeline and then it goes into ZX. And while there is a silhouette seen at the end, it is impossible to distinguish who it could be. While it could be Zero, it could also be Albert who created Model W from the wreckage of Ragnarok.
I played this during my run in the Legacy collection...! And quite honestly... I cried my eyes out the whole time... cause he was my favorite Mega Man alongside X...!
I'm playing this song as War of the Fat Italians 2021 has concluded, the battle against Zero was won...but at the cost of a character who didn't deserve all the hate in the first place...R.I.P Axol... *Cries heavily and uncontrollably*
I can just imagine Ms. Ciel recalling the good times and the bad times she had with Zero while listening to this song... And with parting with him... It's just too hard to bear. That is true love speaking though... Right?
The fact is in MMZ4 Zero is the only one left alone from the past of heroes..X is gone, the guardians died shielding Zero they were the remnants of the original X since they were made from his DNA and the cast from the maverick wars Era are gone maybe due to elf wars but still Zero finally found what he was fighting for in the end both Dr.Light and Dr.Wily's wishes came true as light wanted the world was saved and the wars had came to an end now reploids and humans coexisted peacefully together as for wily his greatest creation lasted longer than light's and his efforts were finally recognized and his greatest creation ultimately became known as a true hero who sacrificed himself to save the world,it was kind of relieving to see him return as Model Z in the ZX series but dude,we needed a ZX 3 capcom just straight up gave everyone a middle finger with the cancelation.
We can feel Zero's potential inside of our souls. And yet, there's nothing we can do to stop this. ONCE AGAIN, ALL WE CAN DO IS STOOD HERE AND WATCH REPLOIDS DIE!!
@ttsblood That mark is common among Reploids around the ZX period, it's about the only thing that sets the humanoid ones apart after Humans begin being given robotic implants.
I'm not gonna lie I'm 22 and when I beat this game as a kid I cried at the end when Ciel was sittin on the ground crying...and then I lost it when I saw Zero's broken helmet buried in the sand ...what a series for GBA...I would love it if they remade it for the Wii or something you know...damn what memories...
At the ending of MegaMan Zero 4, where you see the helmet, if you look very very closely at the sun, you can see someone standing right in front of it... It may take a while, but look closely.
well he would be even if he survived... who else would be a legend if even one who almost single-handed saved the world were not? but his death definitely added weight on his greatness.
Dude, you pretty much described my first time beating Z4, and I actually did that WHILE being 22. Games like this one really draw me in, and after all the time I'd spent with Zero (including the other 3 titles that I had already played), that ending crushed me like a bulldozer. It was like watching Optimus Prime die in the old Transformers movie all over again. T_T
I found a log on youtube.it said: zero lies with the peices of ragnarok, half of his helmet gone, and his left leg and hand gone. elpizo apeears before him and tells him that he would leave ciel broken and shattered if his died.at that, he sacrificed himself and gave zero his last evergy reserve and healed zero completely(he no longer wears his helmet) he rejoins the resistance and continues his relationship with zero... HIS OTHER PEICE OF HIS HELMET NOW LIES IN THE GRASS IN AREA ZERO....
Technically Model Z in in the ZX series is Zero and he sacrifices himself in ZX advent, but maybe that somehow leaders to the Zero on the Mythos album cover.
when you think about it, wily's creation outlived light's and even succeeded where X couldn't, it's pretty fair to say that he won their petty rival war, even if it's far from what he planned, right ?
While it was sad to see him go, it’s still a happy ending since Zero died fulfilling his true purpose
his true purpose was to destroy it all D: he was Wily's ultimate weapon.

I agree and all but zero was not outdated at all. He was on par with X design if not even better
@@ningensan8198 I meant to the current Robots in the MMZ series
Copy-X was not a perfect physical copy of X. He believed himself to be, as he had the same abilities such as the Nova Strike and the exact same appearance (minus the red eyes).
Farewell Zero. I'll miss you.
God, this always gives me the feels...
Right when I heard those first few notes of Esperanto, that shit hit me like a truck-
"He didn't cry at Titanic? Do men even have hearts?"
Men:
Where real men cry
Thank you, Zero. Your quest and life are now over. R. I. P., Zero, hero of robotkind…
I keep coming back because I love crying over and over again.
when i played the game i kept saying to myself "itll be alright it always turns out ok" but i was dead wrong. but i really broke down when i saw Ceil crying. poor Ceil
... Zero come bk... plz?
I almost cryed at this part...
Rest in pieces, bro. Rest in pieces
GOD DAMN YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THAT FAR
I miss so much X and Z, rest in peace.
@SparksterG40 Finally! I wanted to know who Prairie was for so long. I knew the Biometals were X, Zero, and the Guardians, but I didn't know how everything else could be connected. I'm so happy to know this. No matter what, X, Zero, and the Guardians will live on. They've been through so much, I know they deserve to live now.
1:55 the Best and most sadness part 💔
huh I had forgotten why I love these type of songs it just feels so right
I'm sorry Ciel I can't keep my promise to return with you to the future where reploids and humans live together in harmony. I'm sorry that this death makes you sad.
And thank you for your concern over the years. Sometimes I wonder what I'm fighting for, but I know I have to fight for someone who wants you to live happily. Sayonara!! Ciel
Zero... You believed in us... Now it's our turn to show you that your faith in us was not misplaced... Watch Zero... I'll make this world a better place... One where humans and Reploids can walk hand in hand, living in peace... Just come back someday... I... I believe in you!
That day never came....
While Zero's fate is unknown, he nor Weil had been seen for 5 months after the Ragnarok incident. That concludes the Zero timeline and then it goes into ZX.
And while there is a silhouette seen at the end, it is impossible to distinguish who it could be. While it could be Zero, it could also be Albert who created Model W from the wreckage of Ragnarok.
fair well hero we wil walk the path you carved for us to ever lasting peace
Iris is waiting for you Zero...
Zero will resist her.
Esperanto..
Holy Land..
and now.. Promise Next new World, this musics are epic
Rest in peace zero and x 😭
Next New World is also the name of one of the most hype kamen rider songs ever
I played this during my run in the Legacy collection...! And quite honestly... I cried my eyes out the whole time... cause he was my favorite Mega Man alongside X...!
This song really hits hard. Such a wonderful composition.
when I think of this song get it to me and cry .... Poor zero. He did the right thing
I'm playing this song as War of the Fat Italians 2021 has concluded, the battle against Zero was won...but at the cost of a character who didn't deserve all the hate in the first place...R.I.P Axol...
*Cries heavily and uncontrollably*
I did as well
The song of when the one last remaining pizza rolls has been stolen
I can just imagine Ms. Ciel recalling the good times and the bad times she had with Zero while listening to this song... And with parting with him... It's just too hard to bear. That is true love speaking though... Right?
Its basically confirmed that even though ciel was a human and zero is a robot, She still had feelings for him, Making his death all the more sad
Who's cutting onions
I was trying to hold the tears the whole time while finishing the game, until this music started, I knew I can't hold it anymore :'(
We can feel Zero's potential inside of our souls.
The best saga of megaman
:,( R.I.P. Zero..
Somebody to cry too?...
well he would be even if he survived... who else would be a legend if even one who almost single-handed saved the world were not?
but his death definitely added weight on his greatness.
Here rest the legendary reploid zero
😭😭😭
This music really brings out my tears
I found a log on youtube.it said:
zero lies with the peices of ragnarok, half of his helmet gone, and his left leg and hand gone. elpizo apeears before him and tells him that he would leave ciel broken and shattered if his died.at that, he sacrificed himself and gave zero his last evergy reserve and healed zero completely(he no longer wears his helmet) he rejoins the resistance and continues his relationship with zero...
HIS OTHER PEICE OF HIS HELMET NOW LIES IN THE GRASS IN AREA ZERO....
What beautiful song
Technically Model Z in in the ZX series is Zero and he sacrifices himself in ZX advent, but maybe that somehow leaders to the Zero on the Mythos album cover.
its ashame keiji inafune never finished the X series or the Zero series, let this song be a monument to keiji's leaving of capcom...
when you think about it, wily's creation outlived light's and even succeeded where X couldn't, it's pretty fair to say that he won their petty rival war, even if it's far from what he planned, right ?
no.
Goodbye mr Sakurai
This song makes me so depressed,:(I cry every time...ZERO!!!!
hiding himself and repairing himself each time...
Rest in peace...Zero...
Terrible day for rain
Saddest ending in a video game. Hands down.
1:55 BEST, PART. i love it ;w; it just adds that emotional feeling to it
