Hi, I just bought Suunto Ocean, I've been using Spartan Ultra for 6 years, mainly ocean swimming over 4000 times. I compared Suunto Ocean with two other computers how they handle ocean swimming and the results are surprising ua-cam.com/video/WLeTcv6Fqxw/v-deo.htmlsi=b0ZBoaW8zeVbFK_l , Ocean came out the worst... I'm a practitioner using Suunto on a daily basis, I'm only showing my experience, conclusion Suunto Ocean, Suunto's flagship doesn't handle the ocean well
Thanks for the feedback, but I don’t understand Polish. Could you tell us in what area did the Suunto fail? Is it GPS? And have this problems been solved with latest updates?
@@PierreJohnsonOnline thank you for the information, My Ocean has already been sent to service once, the entire unit was replaced and on 16.12.2024 also update 2.38.42, however Suunto did not introduce any corrections for openwater measurements. @ Thanks. Yet Suunto pretends it can give a 3D map of your map, using an unconventional set of tools, such as accelerometer, gyroscope, etc. So this pretense seems to be b…s ?
great info..thank you....nobody seems to mention that the watch faces are absolute pants...will there be better ones???
The watch has a sapphire crystal, don't worry about scratches.
An extra easily exhangeable layer is never too much. I have broken two glases already...
suunto ocean during dive mode, is it possible to use bookmark? just like d4i or d5
i'm not certain; i'll look into this in 2 weeks when i go diving again.

How does the buttons fell to you? Are they plastic?
While i think they are plastic, i only noticed cause you asked; they feel solid.
Just curious, what mount do you use for recording when diving?
