    Beautiful animal captured very well. What on earth could have possibly caused 58 (at this viewing) viewers to give the video a "Thumbs Down"?

    He was rubbing his scent glands on the pole. They have scent glands above their eyes to inform other bucks of his territory and to inform the does he's there. Watch how he sniffs the pole after he rubs.
    Nice video man! Huge buck.

    No doubt an awesome buck and an awesome video. It had me reaching for my 7MM Rem Mag. But with all due respect, I doubt it was the size of a bull elk.....

      We use 600/4 lenses and Canon DSLR bodies. We try to be 100 yards or less with out disturbing the animals.

    Nice footage, which Canon body are you using? You're doing with better with maintaining focus than I do with my 5D III.

      Stan Cunningham This was shot with 7D, however our new 7D mark ll bodies do a really nice job

      Thanks Greg, thinking seriously about the 70D. My problem is I like taking stills too much and don't concentrate on the video enough. How to afford two big lenses is beyond me.

    Nice buck, but in Utah we don't count eyeguards.

    • @jamesholloway6414
      @jamesholloway6414 9 років тому +2

      Yeah we do! Boone and Crocket does so why are you cheating yourself? Hang a ring on it and its a counter.

      James Holloway Utah fish and game doesnt.

    • @jamesholloway6414

      deedle6785 and since when are they relevant when scoring is done on national standards?

    • @deedle6785
      @deedle6785 9 років тому +1

      James Holloway agreed, but I hunt for meat and yes if the chance comes a big one. But I grew up with fish and game guys and I just have always scored mine that way.

    • @jamesholloway6414
      @jamesholloway6414 9 років тому +1

      Understand your situation and training by friends in DWR but, as I said, .....look up the scoring on Pope and Young and Boone and Crocket that would give you the national and international standards for Bow and Gun.
