This is so exciting to watch! You are a creating professional level outdoor documentaries. Also, I had a minor panic attack watching that camera and the moose!
It’s nearly impossible to find the words that truly describe the sheer beauty and wonder of this exquisitely shot video ! The clarity, crispness and color of every image from the windswept snowfall to the majesty of the animals is unparalleled! It’s absolutely STUNNING and I could not have enjoyed it more . Thank you for your incredible talent and for taking us along on these wonderful adventures !
I really enjoy your videos. I particularly appreciate your respect for the animals you photograph. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your next video.
Just came across your channel, and I thought I would share my thoughts with you. I have seen one moose in the wild, which blew my mind! It was huge! What an amazing creature to see. I also got to see bighorn sheep like in your video and wow! Let me just say from a guy from Nashville TN that your video was beautiful. The scenery, the animals, the snow! The music was so soothing. Very well done. New sub here. I will be back. Thank you for showing me the beauty on our planet.
Great video! That camera went through a rough time because that idiot.I'm sure that cost that peron a couple of dollars to replace or repair their gear. I like Steve's video as well. Thanks for bringing us along...
Never get tired of Moose or is it Meese ? This summer I will be working in Yellowstone again. This time I will be at the front desk working at Lake. It will give me plenty of time to photograph critters.
Outstanding video!! Your videos get better and better with each new one. You met up with one of the best in Steve Mattheis, I have been following him for quite a long time and his work is incredible. Thanks for sharing your experience and have a Very Happy New Year and may 2024 offer up some exception shooting!!
Hoback in the fresh snowfall - gorgeous! What a dream encounter. Great work with this video man, I’m glad you had such a successful trip thus far! Can’t wait to see what’s next.
I love the idea of being able to camp and still get around in that early winter type weather like that and I think you have one of the better setups for doing just that. So jealous.
Wonderful! Thank you. That big horn sheep jumping up the rocks was especially incredible to see! (Did the person recover the camera from Mr. Moose??!!!)

Really enjoyed watching this video. Great job capturing the moose and goats. I know moose (and buffalo) can be frustrating as they spend a lot of time grazing and not looking up. Really good editing and the music was spot on.
Amazing video in harsh conditions. The beauty is stunning and pure enjoyment. You are definitely setup correctly for the conditions. There's nothing like camping in the winter with a beautiful rig. Thanks for sharing this video.
Love your video! Is there any chance that you can tell me where this place is? I am in Japan but I always want to visit grand Teton and take some photos of moose! Thank you!
Thanks for taking us along, it was enjoyable. Having spent several days in Jasper National Park, at the end of this past September with several moose, the only thing missing was the snow which would have added to the experience. Thanks again.
Love the footage and what an awesome day! Would also love to see some of your stills you got on this day (like Steve does at the end of his vids!) Also would love to know more about some of your gear... maybe listed in the description. Thanks again for the great content and keep it coming!! Hopefully one day someone will be as excited to meet you as you were Steve, talk about full circle!

Fantastic Josh! I love the snow and how it plays against the mountains and grassland. The animals are the best. I will give you a shout out for calling out the people who don't get that they are a guest in the wilderness. Too bad the moose did not go all bonkers on that camera. The owner deserves it. Respect the animals. Thank you again and I can't wait for the next installment.
Josh - totally agree with you about the moron photog leaving his/her camera out and causing a disturbance and possible harm. I respect and value your technique of sitting and waiting patiently and not stressing or interfering with the animals. Those are the attributes of a real pro! Carry on!
Hey man. Just wanted to say I very much enjoy watching your videos. I know they are a ton of work and require a lot of time to make, so I appreciate it!
Hello Josh! Ooh, how I love moose, they are so beautiful and funny! Thank you very much for such wonderful shots! 1) Please tell me, what brand of mittens are you wearing at 7:08? I also want to find warm ones for myself, so that I can also use my fingers. 2) At 13:03 strong winds are blowing. What kind of tripod and head do you use so that the footage doesn’t shake in such a strong wind? I use a Sony FX30 + Sigma 150-600mm, but a cheap tripod with a head and my footage is jerky, so I want to find and buy a more stable option :).
Thanks so much for watching! Im so glad you liked it! 1. The Heat Company! They are amazing, and I cant say enough good things about them. They are on the pricey side, and I cut off the finger tips myself haha, but totally worth it! 2. So, my tripod and head are not that great. I spent a lot of time stablizing the footage later. I am going to be getting a new tripod and head today actually! That will hopefully solve my issues. Ill be doing a full review on them in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned!
I totally agree about some of the irresponsible people and these beautiful animals. Some get way too close, and don't respect the fact that these are wild animals. Hi Josh, New here to your channel and I've got to say that was a pleasure to watch, great editing skills and some lovely photography! Well done on highlighting the fact that some photographers just can't get close enough to the subject! Really, really stupendous footage. Your technique and approach to your craft is beyond words. The music fit the environment and mood of the day, well done. The way you were able to slice the depth of field was a thing of beauty. Not sure how long the edits took to put all this together, but I really hope that you keep going so we can continue to enjoy ourselves through your art. It's amazing. Well Done! Congratulations! Thanks Shawn! I really apprecaite it! Im so glad that you liked it, and I really apprecaite all of the support! I use a Canon R5 and a Canon RF 15-35 2.8 for my vlogging camera!
We randomly met Steve in the Tetons a few years ago. We were watching his videos on our drive over and then when we were looking for Grizzlies we ran into him. He was so nice and was excited people recognized him 😂
Every photographer watching this video as it starts: "Ooh nice...niiiice...love the snow! Nice rig. Ooh the moose antlers popping up out of the...wait...no...OMG...NO! NO, MOOSE! THAT'S NOT FOR YOU!
Another great video. Congratulations! I’ve seen a moose for the first time earlier this year in Canada. They’re amazing. We won’t get tired of them. One question, perhaps a silly one: on your video thumbnail you’re wearing some sort of cammo equipment on your chest, what is it for? Do you strap your camera to it? Have a great 2024 Greetings from Brazil. Perhaps some day you can come see our jaguars
Thank you so much! The camp thing on my chest is a holder for my binoculars! It keeps the snow from getting all over them! And then on my waist I have a hand warmer! I would LOOOOOVE to see the Jaguars! Happy New Year to you!

Wonderful footage. Crazy how so many people have no respect for wildlife just for a stupid photo or video. I see so many people even using drones in protected restricted national refuges. Pisses me off.

Not sure how long the edits took to put all this together, but I really hope that you keep going so we can continue to enjoy ourselves through your art. It's amazing. Well Done! Congratulations! I hope you get a million views on this one!
Question: What camera are you using to capture your selfie shots?
Thanks Shawn! I really apprecaite it! Im so glad that you liked it, and I really apprecaite all of the support! I use a Canon R5 and a Canon RF 15-35 2.8 for my vlogging camera!
We randomly met Steve in the Tetons a few years ago. We were watching his videos on our drive over and then when we were looking for Grizzlies we ran into him. He was so nice and was excited people recognized him 😂
He’s a great guy! Thanks for sharing!
I’m not a huge fan of extensive use of Slo-Mo but the images are really great
Thanks! I try hard to mix it up a bit so it's not just slo-mo for sure.
❤❤👍👍👌👌😊😊

Every photographer watching this video as it starts:
"Ooh nice...niiiice...love the snow! Nice rig. Ooh the moose antlers popping up out of the...wait...no...OMG...NO! NO, MOOSE! THAT'S NOT FOR YOU!
What ran through my head: "Oh... look at this idiot" haha
Have a great 2024
Greetings from Brazil.
This shit is awesome. Subscribed. Do you shoot this wildlife video in raw or in camera color? It looks awesome. - Geoff
🙌 Thank you! I apprecaite the support! You are totally correct, the Wildlife footage is all shot in Raw! the files are HUGE, but id rather have the flexability with color later! thank you!
@@FoxandFir it is beautiful. I love your color grading on that. I want you to show me how to achieve that natural but nice color like that.
Thanks so much! Im working on a series of educational videos (First one comes out tomorrow), and if the response is good to it, I want to cover a lot of video + editing things, so stay tuned! @@Colorado4x4
@@FoxandFir that would be rad. This is the best that I can do with color grading at this point ua-cam.com/video/0OpWt1BPWO8/v-deo.htmlsi=NuMMwEFQm_aMErCs
Do you have a link to that backpack? TIA! :)
Sure do! fstopgear.com/sukha-70l-adventure-and-outdoor-camera-backpack/
Hey man, random question, what grey sweater are you wearing in this vid?
It’s a handmade sweater from Iceland! I got it from the Hand knitting association of iceland!
@@FoxandFir awesome thanks for sharing info and beautiful footage. All the best that side.
Great video Josh. Very nice footage and you gotta love the numbskulls doing the stupid while you're out in the field.
Thank you so much! Im so glad you liked it! And it's VERY frustrating at times! Im hoping to head up to your neck of the woods in the near future!
Really nice content and storytelling. However I do have one critique. It feels like your white balance is to warm out in the snow with those moose.
👍
I Agree With Your Moose Statement About Respecting Them And All , I Just Don’t Think We Are Guests In Nature, Or At least For Myself I Think We Belong There With Your Point Of Respecting Those Other Animals. I Subscribed 🍻
We’ve unfortunately divorced ourselves from nature long ago - especially those who think we have dominion over it.
@@garyverstick1620 That’s Also A True Statement For Most , I Personally Still Feel Connected And More At Home In Nature . But More Videos Like This Is Needed For Sure.
I totally agree, but when we are in the presence of animals, I belive that we should look at it as "that animal is allowing us to be there, to share this moment with it". Thank you so much for watching!
$20k in equipment that the moose is found of.
Well done video
That moose obviously wanted it more than they did 😂 Thank you!
Wonderful footage. Crazy how so many people have no respect for wildlife just for a stupid photo or video. I see so many people even using drones in protected restricted national refuges. Pisses me off.
Thank you! I totally agree, the unethical behavior by wildlife photographers is getting ridiculous…
This is exactly the reason why I do not participate in any collective workshops. There's always going to be some idiot.
I don’t either, this wasn’t a workshop, and just normal people out there to take photos unfortunately
Annoying music
You're aware you can just stop watching right?
Beautiful
Thanks James! Thank you for watching!
