I burn alot of Maple & Oak mill ends Kiln dried from a funiture making shop mix it with my regular firewood!

I burned maple last year. It was fantastic. Leaves little to no ash. I could go a couple weeks. Before I had to vacuum out the ash in my woodstove.

I think sugar maple goes good with oak. The maple lights easier, a good trait to go along with the slow starting oak. This helps keep temps up when reloading
