Absolutely loving the way this ball looks going down the lane, rolls very nice too. Definitely something I might be eyeing as my next purchase, great review Chris!
Added this to my arsenal today. Looking for advice on 2 more balls to fill in gaps. Top to bottom i have the Eternity Pi, Katana strike, Duo, Hustle usa.
Been watching you bowl for years, and I would love to see you and your son Ryan facing each other in a bowling game only using the Roto Grip Duo. That would fun to see.
I just picked one up and wondering what is best layout for someone with a low track and lower ball speed(14.5mph) with medium revs. Currently throwing hybrids and solids.
I like the Hy road pearl a lot. i am think of making a 3 ball arsenal i would like some ideas for balls that would go well with Hy road pearl. would the original Zen be a good option or is zen to much like hy road pearl? i am more on the beginner level still trying to understand how to hook a ball. Would i need a super strong ball like original Gem?
anyone can use any ball bro dont let anyone gatekeep you. but if your new ball is doing something you dont like then you should go to your pro shop guy and tell him and ask what he recommends, whether that be a different ball or surface or layout. youll eventually "hone in" on the types of ball that work for you
@@cyan0xide different balls are going to have different looks on the same condition. Relying on a single piece over multiple days and multiple games is going to result in a lot of frustration and poor outcomes
If you still haven't figured out a consistent release, work on that before buying more equipment. You need to hammer down how you throw the ball and become consistent before you'll be able to notice the differences between balls That being said, the hyroad pearl is an extremely clean, moderately flaring piece and one of the flippiest balls in storm's lineup. Where to go from there is going to depend on your speed, rev rate and tilt, and what conditions you bowl. I would check Moe Pinel's video on building an arsenal first. You'll generally want a plastic ball for shooting spares. I'm not sure if you're counting that one. Being a generally balanced bowler, I would personally put the hyroad pearl at the bottom of my bag. My next stop would be a stronger symmetrical, like the phase Ii or III, zen or zen master, idol cosmos, Brunswick melee or knock out, dv8 verge solid, track stealth, hammer web or motiv ripcord, forge, sky raptor or pride empire. My next stop would be a big asymmetrical solid for first out of the bag on house. The gem, reality, dv8 hellcat, Brunswick mindset, track archetype, radical innovator solid or similar.
Hi I would like you to help me a little bit...😅 I'm looking to buy my first ball, have 2 options: Revenant Duo Which of these options can be the best fit for me as a beginner and first ball. Great video!!!
it will be cleaner and way more angular than Zen Soul. If the soul is a little older, the Duo will probably hook more overall also. Don't really know much about trailblazer sorry
Thanks again Chris for the vid/ball review and break down of comparisons. I appreciate you are the reviews because of the information that you include in your videos. Keep up the great work.👍🤙🏿👍🤙🏿💯💯

@@BeefandBarnzy Wow. Even though duo has a much stronger cover formula than the Zen, you still have the Zen earlier. I ordered mine late, so I'll find out in the next couple of days. Thanks for the video as always!
@@BeefandBarnzy I've heard from quite a few people that s77 response pearl that is "pretty close" to NEX pearl, which was on the axiom pearl. If that holds true, then the microtrax pearl that's on the duo is stronger than the s77 response that is on the Zen. The Zen does have the largest symmetric core, so we could be seeing that plus the lower diff of the duo... But again, I haven't thrown it yet, so idk.

This looks close too, the old Storm Flash line. More so the Flash Point. The only major difference being the weight block looks completely different.
I’m very anxious to see you guys today
Cause you got dat free ball lol
For sure Curtis

Hmm, this looks good for the ladies with a bit of slower ball speed. Would this overlap with the Night Road in the bag?
Not really, think there will be pretty big gap. Core numbers are miles apart, especially in 14lbs and 15lbs
@@BeefandBarnzy thank you!
nice try on the trick shot split Chris!!
This ball looks amazing
Would it be okay as a decent first ball for someone has experience but only plastic?
Probably not tbh. I'd go with a Hyroad
If you are looking for a first ball after plastic, I would look towards the hustle line first
I wish Beef and Barnzy was a sandwich or some kind of food dish
Very good review!😊😊
I LOOOOVE mine, I named her Gilda
Shape reminds me of an Axiom Pearl.
Makes sense, think this is a little more cover though.
Great review as usual Barnzy, is the Duo fairly close to a 900 Global Aspect? lmk thx, just ordered a beef & barnzy shirt, cheers!
Thanks for the shirt order!! Duo isn't really that close to aspect, the aspect was earlier and much smoother than duo
would probably say that the duo would be similar to aspect if you were to sand it down to 2000
@@cerealkiller8223 think it might take more than that.
isnt that the ball specily made for 2 handers?
No. The DV8 Troublemaker is being marketed that way, not any storm balls. I think all ball are good for 1 or 2 handed players
There's not really such a thing. The troublemaker is marketed like that, but the hype really loves it as a one handed

Not from our eyes. This center is pretty early. Think this will be a small step down from zen, a little cleaner and more angular for us
