    Was looking for a more recent video on real life experience with the A7CR. This was stellar. Pleasantly surprised by the snappy edits and beautiful photo samples. Keep up the good work.

    I work in data destruction as a career, erasing critical information from hard drives, physical destroying them and even tearing down data center for huge clients. It’s a boring no thrills job, but when I get home, strap on my camera bag and grab my A7IV my day feels worth it. I get excited when I clock out from work, not because I’m done with work but because it means I can explore, create and share memories I experience. I love photography and it really has helped with my mental health.

      That’s really great to hear - I think the industry focuses too much on the pro segment at times, but enthusiasts like us keep everything afloat. Do you post your photos online? Would love to see your work!

      No wonder why 3 weeks later this channel it’s already at almost 1k subs. As I’m reconnecting with the reasons why I grabbed a camera in the first place, your video gets recommended. All of them are beautifully done. Earned another sub here!

    Mechanical shutter is loud, but part of it is magnified through A7CR speaker. Put a small piece of black tape over the speaker grill and it will be quieter. It will be quieter still if you choose compressed raw (go figure).

      Thanks for the tip! Yes I taped over the speakers, not a fantastic look but does the trick. Hope the next version has a fast scanning sensor so it can be completely silent

    Very nice story! Thanks for sharing your experience. I spent two lovely weeks in Japan in October-November last year and am now strongly tempted by the small form factor of the A7CR as a new and powerful travel companion. Congratulations on that camera and on the great shots you got!
    I immediately subscribed to your channel and while I would definitely like to see more content about Sony cameras and lenses, and traveling with them, to me, it would also be super-interesting if you would consider to further explore the subject of photography as a relief for stress, anxiety, burnout and possibly other issues, and how to go about using it as such in future videos, given that it is a creative activity that most people have access to.

      @@BokehTherapy Its interesting listening to you have internal battles with gear decisions, I also bought a 35 and didn't enjoy using it to begin with and switched to 50 and then years later got a 35 as a second lens.
      I've thought about getting the 50mm 1.2 for about 2 years but just can't get past the size of it. I currently own the 55mm zeiss and although its not as good for pure sharpness or image quality the character, micro contrast and fall off is beautiful.
      I also recently bought the 135 1.8, its a magical lens.

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  4 місяці тому

      I like leather straps from Barton 1972 and Wotancraft - think the one in this video is from Barton 1972. Leather halfcases for Sony cameras are really tricky to find - eBay is the best bet? There are lots of makers from China and all the quality seems pretty similar.

    How do you like the a7c vs. Ricoh

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  7 місяців тому +1

      The A7CR has been a workhorse - great image quality and very portable. With the 40mm f2.5 attached (review coming this week) it's not that much bigger/heavier than the Fuji X100VI! My Ricoh has unfortunately broken. The lens plate fell off, and no-one at Ricoh has responded to any of my queries about repairs. I think it is prohibitively expensive to fix anyway so it is a very nice brick in my collection currently.

    • @jaymills1720
      @jaymills1720 7 місяців тому

      @@BokehTherapy ahh thanks! But what about the image quality between the two? Is there a preference? Is there a reason to have both ?

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  7 місяців тому +1

      Can’t beat the full frame image quality of the A7CR. The reason to have the Ricoh is its portability? It is truly pocketable, but has some pretty serious build quality issues because of that I think.

  • @quang5DCameras

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  9 місяців тому +1

      A7Cii is great at both. I use the A7CR because of 1.2X crop in 4K60 rather than 1.5X crop in A7Cii but both are amazing. I might get the A7Cii as a second cam
