A useful first look - not having been able to organise a test drive in an iV 80 due to clashes my side - I'm hoping to receive my 80 Sportline (ordered 3/12/21) in the next 4-5 weeks depending on whether it made the build week last week, thank you.
Also had our Enyaq for a year, concur with all your comments also looking forward to the visit to get the software update done, albeit with a little trepidation, hoping it all goes well first time. No contact from the service centre yet, when I rang, I was told they were working through their owners from oldest to newest which is the fairest way and would contact me in due course.
@@enyaq_gorm I must be honest, when I enquired about 5 weeks ago, they were a little hesitant and hadn’t done their first one. I didn’t actually want to be the guinea pig especially as we needed the car for our holiday and it’s working fine. Now we are back I will contact to see how they have been getting on.
@@enyaq_gorm realistic opinion of owning an EV. Seeing the BRP working with the dongle (never seen that before) - makes day to day EVs easier to plan journeys. Realistic eMPG (I think that's the correct term) on motor way + country roads etc. It was very well rounded review.
Thank you for all your videos. I’m not far from you (Currie) and ordered an Enyaq this week through a salary sacrifice lease scheme at work. Your videos gave me the confidence to submit the order!
As a guy getting his new Enyaq within the next three weeks, I have found all these videos hugely useful. Thank you, please keep up the good work! By the way depending on the update level of my car, if I need to have the ‘dongle’ you advocate, where does it come from? Thanks again👍
I've really enjoyed your videos on the Enyaq because it's something I've seriously thinking about getting because I like the high seating and SUV style driving. However, how is the satnav on the infotainment when searching for suitable quick or rapid chargers if doing a long journey. I rarely do long journeys but just in case if I ever do go on one 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nice video, if you have not updated the software yet it will sort all these negative things out you speak about. Do you have any information about Skoda Enyaq Coupe 60/80 ( not VRS version) it is available in other countries.
@@enyaq_gorm hopefully Skoda will decide to import these variants in the UK sooner rather than later. The coupe version is so good looking I would love to have one, VRS is way above my budget
Hi, what was the name of the app you mentioned that showed the charger being available at Southwaite? Also couldn’t of share a link for the phone holder you have to the rear of the screen please? Many thanks
Enjoyable as always. I use Waze nearly all the time for navigation, and airplay for use with the car. Works well for my needs. I've noticed that when I use the Apple navigation as an alternative the direction symbols show on the drivers screen and the HUD - neither Waze nor Google does that. Wonder why?.
Would be interested to know how long the journey would have taken with a petrol engine. Over 6 hours and 3 stops to charge seems a little too much faffing around for me to get to a destination. Great review though, opened my eyes to an EV. Think I will stick to my diesel engine, 2 minutes to fill up end of lol.....
Interestingly I did a similar trip in my diesel recently. It took longer because I had to stop to fill up and then stop separately to eat. For some reason the diesel couldn't fill up itself while we were having a meal.
Actually I just looked at the video again, that trip the car could do with one stop, southwaite wasn't needed but I was hungry. Stafford wasn't needed but I was tired and wanted coffee. I could instead have just gone direct to my hotel and charged up for free. So the stops were driven by the human not the car 😎
Wow, I've been driving for 35 years years up and down the country and never waited more that 5 mins to get to a pump, even when we had the fuel shortages. 20 mins is a long time pal.@@enyaq_gorm
But what about software issues? It's a vw after all, right? Skoda is a VW, and Vw Id4 is known to have software problems. How the Enyaq behaves on that?
I can't remember what they all were but they were different in 2021 from what you can order now. The only one that's still the same these days is transport pack (variable height floor etc), the car has the HUD, heated washer jets, heat pump, reversing camera etc
Having to fill my diesel used to do my head in. Much better to let the car fill itself while I eat/sleep /pee 😁. 99% of the time it's free fuel from the sunshine. Last time I paid for electricity for it was February
I hear you say that you are using " A Better Route Planner " . Why are you not using the navigation that comes built in with the Enyaq as I would have assumed that it will also show you your battery range & distance to next charging point.
Nothing really, just gentle on the accelerator and anticipate the road ahead. Mine is a 60 though so obviously you're carrying a bigger, heavier battery.
@@enyaq_gorm true, I also have 21” wheels so not sure if that makes a difference. 0.5miles/kWh adds up to a lot. Kind of negates the benefits of a larger battery if that is the case.
How come that so many of the testdrivers I have seen testing Enyacs want to put a BIG bottle in the cupholder between the front seats!? How is it that the testdrivers don't understand that if you put a big bottle or a big cup there, you are blocking the buttons! ;)
@@enyaq_gorm there isn't. The Skoda news release for the software update has always said 120. The Enyaq brochures have always and still do list 120. The purchase option for older cars was always 120. Even on the FB Enyaq page people quote the wrong figure. But people repeating it is drumming it into people's heads. I think people mix up the 135 for the 80
Very good review but all an ev driver seems to be thinking about is where and how to charge the car you dont have this anxiety with a petrol or diesel car...
No, as a driver the car basically tells me that. I do these videos because people without an ev are always going on about how worried they are about being able to do a long distance. My petrol cars never told me where to fill up, they just flashed a light telling me it was time to empty my wallet 😂
Very good for driving but very bad as a interface, simplicity and ease use . One example: for driving without AC i need to switch off it every time after restarting the trip. 5 button every time. And many more. Never again😢
Hello Enyaq Gorm, thank you for sharing your one year experience. We appreciate your feedback. 💚
Lend me an RS when they come out and I'll repeat the test 😂

Android auto is just projecting your phone screen on to the car screen. A dongle is what connects abrp to your car data
