I'm in my 50s now with full mental capacity. I can smell a scammer a mile away. I don't answer phone calls whose name and number I'm not familiar with. In fact, I leave my phone on silent most of time and check periodically for messages. But I'm aftraid when I'm 80 years old, will I lose my scammer detection ability? Will I fall victim to these scammers? Only time will tell.

I wouldn't pick up phone from any number that I don't know and let them ring till it stops ringing then block that number. then hit delete if you are scammers don't even border.🖕🖕🖕🖕
Beware of anything financial initiated by an incoming phone call. If it's real, you should be able to call somebody back. Even if it's some place asking for a donation, it could be anybody, and you gave them your credit card number. I don't answer numbers I don't know - they never leave a message.

Tell them to come on over, and have the cops waiting.
The problem is the person who picks up the money may not be aware of the scam either. The scammers may not live in the same city, state or country.
