Uptight white people have extreme trouble giving up control. Drugs of all kinds help lower inhibition, allowing some to expand their psychic horizons. This chick was cerebrally surfing--confident and fearless. Some would have been thrown off by the harsh vibes of her inquisitor, but she wasn't having it. Good for her!
As Dylan famously said in "All Along the Watchtower":
"No need to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who think that life is but a joke
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late"

to me it was always like every idea or thought you ever had gets to meet and compare to every other thought, because they're all in there waiting around and you usually only get access to a few at a time.
and so what i understand her to be saying from my own experience is that there are things you can only fully appreciate in that state because so many ways that you appreciate something's beauty rely on our full understanding of them, of all our ideas about them, and how they exist in reality in a time and place.
there's just so much noise most of the time and so many competing thoughts and so little bandwidth for understanding that when you're "up there" as she said you have the time and the access to all the ways you can understand something. so for example you're sometimes seeing and feeling and smelling music. or an image speaks. or some conversation reveals an obvious truth that isn't often spoken out loud.

There are TWO types of ego:
      * false (negative) and
      * authentic (positive) ego.
The fallacy of Buddhism is ignoring authentic ego and/or conflating the two.
*You are NOT a divine nothing.*
Everyone has ego - the real question is _”Are you aware of who you really are?”_ which is why the two greatest words ever recorded in the history of the universe are:
      *KNOW THYSELF*

I did it maybe 300-350 times over a ten-year period from 1970-80 and can confidently state that it shaped my consciousness for the fifty years since.
To express my anecdotal experience with LSD succinctly, I learned that it can obliterate the filter of duality--the ego of the self--and allow the user to see life as it really is, not from the brain's restricted box that we consider "normalcy." When one experiences, up close and personal, the perception of unencumbered beauty and love and truth, one realizes that there is really nothing to fear--including death.
And the girl in the video is right--for many people a single experience can do the trick, like initializing a software program. I was a directionless teenager when I first dropped and became an artist, writer and musician. I credit this permanent change in my personality and behavior to my judicious use of psychedelics. When I say "judicious," I mean that my use was not strictly "recreational," --the term they used back then--but more a deliberate effort to elevate my consciousness.
I applaud efforts today to use these substances in a clinical setting to treat addiction, depression, PTSD and the fear associated with death from terminal illness. These psychotropics could be a powerful therapeutic tool in the right hands.

You are only confined by the walls you create in your mind. See, you THINK that you've been restricted simply because, from birth you have been raised in a so-called "Christian" family. I have been raised, since birth, in a so called "Indian" family. So what that means is that, certain aspects of our lives or in this situation you could say "freedom" - certain aspects of our freedom have been limited or restricted simply because of the "religion" we were born into Eg. I can ONLY marry an Indian girl, because that's what my "RELIGION" stipulates.. Separation is the biggest illusion of all - strip away the bones, the skin colour - the man made religious beliefs (theories) - and we are all the same. What I'm trying to get at bro, is that what YOU deem impossible (being the girl in the video) IS IMPOSSIBLE.. ONLY BECAUSE

When i explain things to people, i like to break it down as much as possible so that they have a complete understanding of what is being talked about - so they are left with answers, not more questions - Exactly like what i've just done here - replying to your comment LOL

LSD provides a person with truly out of the box thinking. Just read the lyrics of the music from the 60's and early 70's. Sadly, those days are long gone. Taking LSD or any other illicit drug these days is extremely dangerous because of the likelihood of getting a drug laced with other drugs (like fentanyl). Drug dealers at all levels know there is no money in drugs like LSD. But there is huge money to be made off of addiction.

I used some of these samples because they fit so well in the type of track i am doing. I did some research too and this clip is part of a 1966 Canadian documentary called ""How to go out of your mind: The LSD crisis". It fully available on YT. The identity of the girl is not revealed as far as i can tell.

@@ShadowyFigure83 Are you kidding me, lol. "mine was boring" You need to try again, up the dose, make sure what you have been given is not junk, have an empty stomach.
Right here right now.. you are unaware that "mine was boring" is the most absurd possible statement.. imaginable.
Looks like you have experienced, a threshold level of something.. its the difference between weak tea and a Molotov cocktail.
Try again... based upon your post you have no comprehension of what this excellent 60s girl is talking about.
Try again, and if you want come back and talk about it. "mine was boring" is the most absurd statement possible... there is no experience more tangential to boredom than a breakthrough experience..... all the drugs.. alcohol, cocaine, weed, benzos, opiates etc ... disappear in comparison. It is entirely different.. there is nothing that can demonstrate the deconstruction of reality like a breakthrough... nothing is even close.

Yes, I agree. I took it a few too many times, but like the girl said, some people may need to try it a bunch of times, some only once. You need to find your experience, or "vision". The last time I took it was something I still try to understand.

Go ask Alice when she's 10 feet tall.... No man, I'm small...
    One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
    Don't do anything at all
    Go ask Alice
    When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
    Tell them a hookah-smoking caterpillar
    Has given you the call
Call Alice when she was just small
When the men on the chess board
Get up and tell you where to go
And you just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
    Go ask Alice
    I think she'll know
    When logic and proportion
    Have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's lost her head
    Remember what the dormouse said
    Feed your head
