"Be a good guy Greg and leave the stones at the bottom of the hole dont be a scumbag Steve and pile them on top" I cant believe you made a meme reference while explaining! Love it! and your videos!
I'm so jealous of the way you just sit around on the ground without a thought about it. If you tried that here in Central Texas, the fire ants would eat you alive.
Hey Beau, I would like to mention something you may not be aware of,. If you had a bottle probe with you, you can locate holes real easy, have you ever thought of getting one? besides years of relic hunting like you do, I have been bottle digging for years as well. Detectors are great for finding bottle holes, and then a steel bottle probe can locate the holes right on, no guess work in chasing down by digging excessive dirt maybe off the side too much. I really enjoy your video's, you remind me a lot of me,,,haha, but I'm in Australia. Cheers mate, keep up the exciting work!
A very interesting post, a different approach to just digging out metal detecting finds hmmmm, good to see you're a detectorist with knowledge and respect for other folks land. Best of luck, mick
Hey Beau. I found a few very old trash piles/holes in an old 1800s woodlot. I 'm thinking about digging them out. I found allot of ornate brass work on top with the regular rusty cans and jars. So thanks for the video. I think you have inspired me to do a dig out also..
Great finds and I enjoyed watching your video! Don't quote me but if my memory is correct, I think the glass tube was used to treat syphillus in the 1800s. It was inserted into the uretha and a dose of mercury was poured down it. I'm pretty sure I seen one before at a museum or something.
No worries Beau, have you ever found a cricket belt buckle over their? I believe America actually played against England in the 1850's 60's, strange to think America even played it. Over here in Oz, they are a prized goldfields era find. Basically gold sovereigns, cricket belt buckles, are the bigger dollar items out here besides gold of course. Other gold coins as well, like Guinneas, but they are ULTRA rare. My best find to date on an old house site, were 19 scattered gold sovereigns, all between 1875 and 1904. Cheers mate,
I don't know if you remember my theory or not but..... I noticed the fence in the background.... I imagine it was a fence cache but the river expanded it and the river consumed it... Awesome find, something I'll remember my entire life !!
patience and diligence...every dog day will have it's day...yours will come again...if I'm not mistaken you already had the most incredible succuss out at the river site. That will be hard to match..it's a once in a lifetime event.
Your video has inspired me to try this next week at a spot where an old school house sat. Tons of iron signals where it sat and have pulled over 50 buttons, and more than a half a dozen large cents. Hopefully it pans out. Also had CW activity here.
chigger, I just bought two Garrett Detectors (Garret Pro) and (Garrett Infinium) because of your vids, hope you get a commission mate, I love your vids, a real inspiration mate, to al detectorists and relic hunters!
hey beau, Thanks for the great videos, I actually am trying to look for a hobby for when I get out of the army so I appreciate the feed back on metal detecting, cant wait to see more wish you the best, -kody
Great video and tutorial on how to excavate a dig site, Looks like that was a lot of work, but some nice finds to show that you are on the right track. I hope to go to my first home sites next week in GA, just got to get the permission first. Also when you yourself ask for permission to dig do you handout business type cards, I keep reading that other people do that....
Beau, that was truly educational as I have never seen anyone dig a trash pit live before. So cool. Since one of my responsbilities is to oversee landfills, I would love to dig some trash..LOL
Beau, enjoyed watching that. I'm doing the same thing at an old farm house right now. Mid 1800's. I also enjoyed the silver coin spill in the river. Was that your best day ever?
thanks Beau ! i really enjoy your videos.. every time i watch them it gets me pumped up to go hunting myself, it never fails! lol ! oh and by the way nice "crack pipe" you found there bud! lol
That's a cool way to detect. We are assuming Pit digging would be a method used after finding something good like an old frying pan. I guess you could roll the dice and pick any spot but, your doing just that, rolling the dice. Great video. GL and HH -=The Twins=- Bob and Bill
Didn't know what type of buckle that was til now. I found one at the last DIV. Great video. I'd like to get into a hut one day. Seems like a lot of work for sure though.
Hey Beau I know you always find railroad spikes and here in New Zealand railroad spikes are real hard to come by and i like using them for blacksmithing, any chance I could buy some?
the little oval plate that you say is a part of a saddle looks to me like a plate that goes on either side of an old muzzle loader gunstock for the barrel retaining key. Maybe there's an old gun somewhere around there? Makes me want to get a metal detector!
glass tube used for drawing up a blood sample. Pick finger, place tube end on blood with finger on other end, lift finger and sample runs up tube. Goes to the scope from there. good vid, good lesson in dig ettiquet.(sp)?
Beau, I heard in the video you say you found a "crodle" bell (not sure on the spelling). I found a rather large one detecting around a very old house (1800-1840?). it also says No. 14 on the back. looks just like yours just bigger. Any more info on that piece? BTW, love all your videos!
Interresting video, Thanks for sharing the technique, you did a great job in refilling your hole. Too bad you didn't find some civil war coin, but maybe you will next time, the place seems filled with relics. HH and GL,
The reward I know could be great digging one, but then I'm afraid to get into a lot of digging at the DIV when you only have 3 days. Those 3 days go by super fast!
aqua, you've always made some nice interesting videos---ol' micmoable here, of course with my newly acquired user name which is my real name Michael Mosley. I always have enjoyed your videos, Beau. Keep up the good videos---I've got to make some new videos since I lost access to my original 89 videos I posted on my micmoable channel.
Found Some darn old silver coinage the 15mins we were there....its not his land though!....argghhhhh......we got pics of the guy as he was advancing. as well as what i got out of the hole we were working. honestly thought he was gonna shoot. he didnt even let me clean up after myself. was wondering if i could send you a pic?..maybe you can identify what the buttons are. was told they are from KRRNY(Kings Royal Regiment New York) uniform. from the same hole....Thank You again Beau.
Love the videos! I play video games a lot but metal detecting is a passion outside of video games ! I'm into civil war stuff and of course coins! And do you recemend Any places in GA to hunt? me and my dad are going to alatoona pass ( not on battlefield ... Belongs to corps of engineers )
Plenty of places in Georgia to hunt. Read and research. Plus look for old house sites. I recommend getting maps which I have . Shows all period house sites etc . Old roads and stuff.
I want a decent detector so bad, but finances never seem to play out for me, oh well, I can watch you guys and pretend lol. it's going to happen!!! one day, I swear ^^
I really think I might give this a try. The worst things about most hobbies is they are really expensive this looks like it could be a good cheap hobby I mean once you start there is little keep up cost
i think i live in the old dump around here [that was] i find stuff all the time ,milk ,coke [all kinds] of bottles. old oil cans, you name it .there a lot of metal to.you can dig for days love = peace
Are you calling your fence/river cache a coin spill ?? Why did you switch channels ? What happened to Aquachigger ? I like watching your videos, this one was very informative !! I subscribed again, I was subscribed to Aquachigger but now I'll sub to this channel.... Keep @ it and HH !!
Too small in diameter to be a crack pipe, but funny none the less. Cool video and a side of your detecting I hadn't seen yet. Congrats on the good finds! HH!
"Be a good guy Greg and leave the stones at the bottom of the hole dont be a scumbag Steve and pile them on top" I cant believe you made a meme reference while explaining! Love it! and your videos!
Another fantastic video from this Gentleman. A purist in every sense of the word. Thank you sir. More please.
I'm so jealous of the way you just sit around on the ground without a thought about it. If you tried that here in Central Texas, the fire ants would eat you alive.
John Brown. Well move
@@tommyturner6677 Away from the fire ants? They’re every-freaking-where in Texas.
Thank you for all of the detail that you give. I enjoy your videos.
Nice finds, Beau, and a good start. I really love crotal bells too.
thanks for sharing another great video Beau! great demonstration for digging a spot of a previous find!
Always. Thanks for another, Beau.
Of course I have to be totally enthralled by the bell. It's so beautiful.
Great !! Now I'm gonna get me a metal detector and probably use it next time when I go to Country Mexico! .Awesome hobby!!

Good information on the digging aspect. I'm trying to learn the different layers and colors. 👍🏼
Now that's a dig, lol. A few nice finds. Not a bad day. Nice job filling the hole, could hardly tell you were there. Nice video

Very interesting watch. Thanks for all the great information and tutorial. Kind regards -Russ
Very helpful little video, thanks!
Thank you for explaining what everything is! It is so helpful to a newbie! I love your videos!
out of all the items found throughout the 20+ videos I've currently watched that bell is my favourite i would love to see it polished up
Great finds and I enjoyed watching your video! Don't quote me but if my memory is correct, I think the glass tube was used to treat syphillus in the 1800s. It was inserted into the uretha and a dose of mercury was poured down it. I'm pretty sure I seen one before at a museum or something.
Great Video! It shows that patience is required in hole digs!! Thanks for sharing!!

Beau, enjoyed watching that. I'm doing the same thing at an old farm house right now. Mid 1800's. I also enjoyed the silver coin spill in the river. Was that your best day ever?

+William Laidlaww thats illegal to do in some states
What are you stating thats illegal?
selling anything that is railroad property. the spike is thiers
Okay
You can find them online.

Makes me want to get a metal detector!
working on some old homesteads north east texas and looking for more, any advice on looking for old burn pits visually?
Dude, you need your own TV show.
Those ancient crack pipes are very collectible!!! Lol very entertaining as usual my man!
glass tube used for drawing up a blood sample. Pick finger, place tube end on blood with finger on other end, lift finger and sample runs up tube. Goes to the scope from there. good vid, good lesson in dig ettiquet.(sp)?
About 813 you found a metal object that you said is off a saddle. I found one like it in my front yard recently.
you have i am sure a few detector's which do you like the best and what does one run.
Kinda looked like the piece that’s on the side of a muzzle loader where the pin goes through go hold the barrel on but they’re usually brass.
Beau, I heard in the video you say you found a "crodle" bell (not sure on the spelling). I found a rather large one detecting around a very old house (1800-1840?). it also says No. 14 on the back. looks just like yours just bigger. Any more info on that piece? BTW, love all your videos!
Hmm very interesting read. Thanks for the tip. Would No. 14 just be for which livestock it was on. Or were they even for livestock?
Good video,,,nice and clear
Interresting video, Thanks for sharing the technique, you did a great job in refilling your hole. Too bad you didn't find some civil war coin, but maybe you will next time, the place seems filled with relics. HH and GL,
Enjoy your videos and a lot of hard work for those finds.HH
Awesome!!
nice crotal bell! was it worth the effort do you think?
Please make a 2 hour movie. I will make popcorn! :)
Do you have any experience or comments about the XP Deus. I am considering getting one.
That's a sweet crotal bell I never found a whole one jst one peice but I collect em when I can get em I only have a few but they are awsome
The reward I know could be great digging one, but then I'm afraid to get into a lot of digging at the DIV when you only have 3 days. Those 3 days go by super fast!
Hi if you lay a tarp and then cover, then when finished just slide tarp over the digging, saves the back. Bbg.

thanks for the tis and nice video all the best ; manu
In my whites coinmaster you can actually discriminate out iron which is really helpful.
At 8:50 with his beard and moustache and hair he looks exactly like my dad lol😂😂
i think that copper pan is a victorian bed pan for heating up beds
And great video btw!
Do you ever keep most of your iron to junk for $
What state are you in? The dirt looks very rich and here in Ky. we have clay and that's about it.
Found Some darn old silver coinage the 15mins we were there....its not his land though!....argghhhhh......we got pics of the guy as he was advancing. as well as what i got out of the hole we were working. honestly thought he was gonna shoot. he didnt even let me clean up after myself. was wondering if i could send you a pic?..maybe you can identify what the buttons are. was told they are from KRRNY(Kings Royal Regiment New York) uniform. from the same hole....Thank You again Beau.

did it have hinges at the bottom of it
Interesting. Thanks for the "lesson." ;-)
i think i live in the old dump around here [that was] i find stuff all the time ,milk ,coke [all kinds] of bottles. old oil cans, you name it .there a lot of metal to.you can dig for days
love = peace
hmm - perhaps you can market your own magnetic digging shovel or something....Id go for that.....
Are you calling your fence/river cache a coin spill ?? Why did you switch channels ? What happened to Aquachigger ? I like watching your videos, this one was very informative !! I subscribed again, I was subscribed to Aquachigger but now I'll sub to this channel....

tarn X works real well if you want to clean the penny to read the date.
That glass tube is a siphon tube from inside a Seltzer bottle.
Why is it that I never see you ground balancing your detector?
My grandma watched the video with me and says the glass tube was a straw, she used to use one when she was sick
I've heard of people fashioning fry-pans out of GOLD to disguise them.
Nice german camo jacket greetz from Berlin Germany :)
Crodel bells are worth money aren't they?
Too small in diameter to be a crack pipe, but funny none the less. Cool video and a side of your detecting I hadn't seen yet. Congrats on the good finds! HH!
Nice.
