Great interview! Was interesting to hear Herbie talk about the aftermath of losing the final in such a raw way. Feel it gives a little perspective to how some of the other players are/had been feeling.
The Dolphins are lucky to have this lad. He gets through a lot of work & is always staying busy on the field. Great on the defensive side of things & always tries to get his team on the go forward with every run. He’s what the Broncs are missing this year, direct running & making the runs that no one wants to take on phase 2 tackles or the third play. Firmly believe Herbie & Stephen Crichton you could throw Joseph Manu in there as well are 1, 2 & 3 in their respective positions (I can’t pick between them whatever one you want in any order)
Great interview. I watched it the day after hearing Stuart Pyke say on "NRL Today" that Herbie is from Halifax! So I'm glad you set the record straight, although I think he's from Blacko, a village in the District of Pendle, which is not part of Burnley. But definitely not classic rugby league country.
Herbie Farnworth, the Erroll Flynn of the NRL. Been watching him since he debuted and it's been great to see him develop into one of the game's finest centres. I'm as excited as yourselves about our chances of winning an Ashes series before I die :D
The look in Jammers eyes when he says "If we could win the ashes" is priceless. We have to get the international game back to how it was in its hey day. I get origin is so big now but you ask anyone over here in thr UK what they remember of their childhood its the ashes and GB vs Aus.

Always had a this feeling that Herbie didn't like how 'flashy' Walsh was. When they were playing the replays would come up of them celebrating and never seemed like Herbie was that into it especially when he and Walsh combined to score.

Very very true. No one talks about the loss of capewell too. We did also lose Flegler. But he has been replaced well by Jensen. Capewell and Herbie left a big hole

I wish weren't such a fan boy of soccer - you do Rugby League and Australia a diservice when big up the English soccer scene in preference to the sport you played and gave you your career. As soon as that virus (or over hyped crap) gets hold in Australia, RL and Aussie rule will be finished, along with the uniqueness of Australia.
They have been saying that for decades but soccer is still seen as the "immigrant" sport because the clubs were based on nationalities. They have worked to shake off that image and a lot of kids play soccer but when it gets to the big game it is AFL and NRL.
Yeah I don’t get why English rugby league is always played down … I’m from north of England and I can tell you that in parts of the north of England - rugby league is huge and in some of the smaller towns it’s bigger than Soccer / football all- rugby league it’s like a way of life both watching and playing in parts of north of England - I am from Leeds and although Soccer / Football (Leeds United) is the number one - rugby league and Leeds Rhinos is huuuuge and not far behind … it’s a massive sport in my city
