I need some help the pool pump that I have is the same exact one you're showing in the video I switched the sand from the sand to the cotton balls because my ex put like the kind of sand with seashells and stuff in it and that wasn't right kind of sand they have seashells and everything so I'm changing it from the cotton so I've had the cotton in there for a while it was working good I went to go wash the cotton balls like you're supposed to and now I can't get those clamps that go around the great part that connects to the lighter gray part back land and I don't know to do help
Been watching a few bestway sand filter videos. I have a question, i dont think a good amount of dead algae is being sucked in through the pool filter in the pool. Im going to clean it but pressure is good, water is flowing and looks good. Will it just take a while for the algae to be sucked and filtered through? Ill check in again but did a backwash, and rinse. Looks good just hope it gets all the gunk out. cheers
What’s the purpose of the sand??? My pool starter getting murky and I don’t see the pump actually working as in seeing the water go through the clear window area.
When I vacuum it hits the filter and it seems like it’s not filtering at all. A cloud of green shoots out exhaust like it’s bypassing the filter. I have flushed it many times. Any ideas?
That was a great video. I am having trouble with the vacuum for my Bestway. I got a regular long hose and closed off the one side outlet and hooked the other vacuum hose end into the other outlet, made sure as much as I could to get all air out. When I turned on the pump to suck the dirt, the little basket part of the pump (see through part where leaves should go) would start getting noisy and drop down to about half full. I had to keep shutting the pump off and the vacuuming did not get done. Any help is welcomed.

Also I have questions about how you installed it. I see you used sand and fastened your u posts to the wood underneath. The wood I used bowed once I filled the pool. Is the filter supposed to push water out into the pool like other normal pools?? Mine is not pushing anything no pressure into the pool at all I've backwashed and rinsed idk what to do 😢

The hose that feeds the pool has a valve the you can open and close, just like mine. Your two hoses that feed the filter (B ports on MY pool) are like mine as well, with NO open/close capability. When I want to take open the filter, to replace sand, or whatever...how do I keep the water in the pool and not pour through the B PORTS? Is it really pulling the hose off, pull out the "thing" that the hose connects to and shoving a rubber 'hat" into the hole? There should be a better way. Some butterfly valve or something to stop the water flow.

My salinity is at 3800 ppm and I have no low flow indicators on the salt water system. One thing I notice is that I don’t feel any suction when I put my hand over the intake inlets in the pool. Is that normal?

When you go to put that back on you can't tighten one side then the other you have to have to screw a little at a time to both sides equally
Do you need to unplug any of the other hoses for backwash or rinse or just add a hose to port D for drainage?
Recirculation option is used when circulating chemicals through the pool without losing them in the filtration😊
If you want to vacuum to waste, what setting would you want the pump on?

The reservoir on the pump is showing hardly any water. I'm afraid the pump will burn up
How do you clean out the he has trap? It looks like there is hardly any water in the trap. Will be he lack of water make the pump burn up?

I just have a length of ordinary garden hose hooked up to port "D" with normal garden hose fitting running into a drain.
Do you have a video on how to attach a 24 inch hose to this pump as a means of vacuuming. Iv tried so many videos with no success.

I have never cleaned my sand filter and I have a salt chlorinator too, so I am happy to have found this video.

I added a shut off where they come together.
What type of sand do you use?
Can you flush the water onto a lawn? Or will it kill the grass.
I've noticed my lawn actually doesn't mind it but that's not to say everyone's lawn will like it
