Great video as I’m trying to teach someone steps on hose and operation. I have had Intex pools and these bestway pools with pumps filters make it user friendly but they leave out operating steps. Thanks to videos like yours. Warning when these pumps n filters go, but a larger sand filter and 1 to 2 HP motors like real pools. They operate the same but you won’t regret. Green to clear in a day or two. Enjoy
The water is coming out of the filter fast because it is water coming from the pool. So, you need to use the 2 small black rubber plugs that came with the pool. Reach inside the pool and remove the two gray filters and put the rubber plugs in place. That will hold the water back. Now try taking the lid off the skimmer and you shouldn't have any water coming through it all and you can easily clean out the skimmer.
This solar heater really absorbers a lot of solar energy. With 500gal/hr pump, water temperature at the pump output can be 2-3 degree higher than that at the input.
So I bought one of these pools at Costco and then spent $500 on sand to level the ground and fallowed every bit of the instructions including the talc powder to set it up. It looked beautiful after filling it. I ordered the starter kit directly from Bestway. We went out for the day came back and the backyard was 5 inches deep in water and half the water in the pool was gone. We haven’t even gotten to swim yet. I couldn’t imagine what was wrong. I was worried because the electricity from the pump and it was there that most of the water was. I couldn’t figure it out. But I finally saw part of the seam on the underside of the solar heater is not sealed. It’s defective. I have tried requesting a call back from Bestway as the paper in the box says “do not return to store, call us first.” This is not working out to well. I am not sure what to do besides take down the whole thing and return it and then Im out $700 for all the supplies I bought and that’s not counting how much my water bill will be. I would hope they would at least reply. If they just help by exchanging the solar heater everything would be great. Bestway please help!!! Im trying to do as the instructions ask me to do.
When you removed the filter lid did water come out fast? If so that of course makes it very hard to put the lid back on correctly. Does this work for all best way pools? I have a best way 18ft length by 9 ft wide . 4 ft deep. I want to buy the sand filter how would a buy one that is adequate and is the best one that fits. Do you have a link for one that would fit?
Need to clean out the trap. Have a skimmer that didn't come with a shut off valve. Means I need to drop many hundreds of liters of water just to prevent a flood in my pool area. BESTWAY would you please give me a solution for this?

Biggest regret of my life buying a bestway pool, your instructions couldn’t possibly be any worse. My advice is the same I gave my toddler “use your words!!!” These musicals are a disgrace
They don’t, I tried to contact them but horrible costumer service, they sent the wrong pump and no hoses and had the audacity to say I broke the pool when all I asked was to send the right pump( sand pump, not the cartridge they sent) and the hoses, all that was shown on the box. I ended buying the pump on my own for almost $300!!! Will never buy from them again!

There is black plugs to place into the intakes on the holes of the pool

I closed the pump and took out the skimmer and the water poured out thanks for the info

My filter lid doesn't sit flush so i can't get the screw down on. What do I do then?

You should have just filmed this in the dark. Then I wouldn’t have even tried.
