- How To Make Homemade Italian Breadsticks From Scratch!
Extremely easy to make. You will need an endless supply just like that famous Italian restaurant chain, because it tastes the same.
If you go to Olive Garden and cannot stop eating the bread sticks, then you have now found out how where to make your own and save money. And, frankly, they are even fresher. Garlic and cheese infuse these bread sticks with a profusion of taste that is hard to fully comprehend. They will happily accompany any Italian, fish, or meat dish, or just give you a snack you cannot stop eating.
GARLIC CHEESE BREAD STICKS:
1 1⁄2 cups warm water 2 T. sugar
1 T. yeast
3 cups flour
1⁄2 tsp. salt
2 T. olive oil
1 cube butter, melted Garlic salt
Parmesan cheese
Dissolve yeast in water and sugar in a large bowl. Wait 5 minutes until it looks bubbly; then add salt and olive oil. Gradually stir in flour with wooden spoon. Knead dough for 3 minutes; rest 10 minutes. Let dough rise for 30 minutes. Punch down and roll out on floured surface just smaller than a large jelly roll pan (15x10x2). Pour melted butter on pan. Cut dough into strips and roll in butter on sheet pan. Line up strips, but leave a little space for them to rise. Sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese. Let raise 20 minutes. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Bread sticks can then be cut in half to serve.

The display picture is misleading and it looks very different from the result in your video.
I try very hard to make sure the thumbnail is the pic of the actual final product of my recipe. Sometimes, I forget and have to search for a generic thumbnail.
Absolutely. Skipping this recipe. Not trustworthy at all.
These are not Italian they are American Italian.
A certain restaurant has very similar bread sticks. Be Covid-free and make them yourselves. You can't eat a whole batch, so I guess they are bottomless - or maybe they aren't bottomless.
Very clever play on words!
That looks really good, thanks for sharing your experience. Subscribed and saved on my Treasure chest. 😊
