I made 2 batches of breadsticks today!! They are amazing!!! I would like to know if I can refrigerate the "proofed" dough and bake the next day? Thank you!!
Instructions for the breadsticks (not the sauce, sorry): 1. In a large bowl, put in 2 tsp sugar, 1/4 c warm water, 1 tsp dried active yeast. Let sit for 5 min to bloom the yeast. 2. Add 1 cup warm water, ~1/8 cup of olive oil, 2 1/2 cups bread flour or AP flour, and 1 tsp salt. 3. Mix on low with the dough hook attachment for 5-10 minutes. Mix until the dough bounces back when poked. 4. Lightly dust a working surface with flour, place dough onto it and knead into a ball. Roll to fit your pan. 5. Heavily oil your pan with olive oil and place your dough into the pan. Cover it with plastic wrap and let rise for 90 min. *[Preheat oven to 475°F / 246°C]* 6. In a separate bowl: Mix 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. 7. After the dough has risen cut into breadstick rectangles with a bench scraper or butter knife. 8. Lightly coat the soon-to-be breadsticks with melted butter and place into the oven for 10 min. 9. Take the breadsticks out of the oven and spray it with another coating of melted butter and add your parmesan topping. 10. Bake for another 5 min. 11. Cool on a cooling rack and serve :)
Good instructions, just wouldn’t recommend turning oven on at beginning, because then it would be burning off gas or electricity for the whole time the bread rises
I have been watching breadstick videos and yours is by far the prettiest which matters to me because I am a lunch lady at a private school and my highschoolers won’t eat “ugly” food 😆 I am trying your recipe now. Waiting for them to rise. Hoping I can add these to the menu. Thanks for the video

Cooking with Kyo I made it today and it was a huge hit! I used AP flour so I added an extra cup of flour and it came out just like yours. I ended up mixing the topping with shredded mozzarella cheese and made it into Italian cheesy breadsticks and I can’t stress enough how good it turned out. You’re a legend. Thank you for the recipe!
Karlene Karlenes The amount the recipe called for resulted in a soupy dough. This was because he used bread flour and I only had All Purpose flour. But the extra cup of flour got it together to form the dough as it appeared in the video. It was honestly worth baking. I have this recipe saved now for whenever I want to make it again in the future. 🤗
Tried these tonight, turned out great. I did need to add about 1/2 cup more flour to keep the dough from sticking. Used melted butter instead of spray. Better than the old pizza hut breadsticks.

These were too soft and airy... they fell apart easily. I wish they had a little more bite/chew. I would def add more garlic powder and use only 1 cup of water. Thank u for this recipe and video!
We made these the other night and it was just as easy as he said! We did about half with topping and half without, and both were excellent. A very easy recipe and well-demonstrated!
I have made this recipe twice already and both came out successful! ^-^ I'd like to share with you what I did in case anyone has a similar situation: Both times I did not use a bread maker (I kneaded it by hand) which could maybe be the reason why I experienced this: 1st time I followed the exact measurements for the dough and it came out extremely sticky! I had the hardest time forming a ball with it and I needed to add a lot more flour (I don't recall how much, I was eyeing & feeling it out) in order to get a less sticky consistency. Despite this, they came out so delicious! And the bread wasn't tough at all. They did turn out more crunchy. 2nd time I decided to use less water than what was asked. Instead of a cup of water, I used a little less than 3/4 cup of water. This time I didn't need to add any extra flour, it was much easier to knead! The texture of these breads were softer and more fluffy. Also, keep in mind to use WARM WATER! I was scared the first time thinking I killed my yeast with water that was more than warm. Overall, both times were suuuuper yummy! For plant based eaters, you can use vegan mozzarella or parmesan cheese (I used mozzarella shreds and it worked just fine!). I am happy to have found this recipe :) Thank you for sharing friend.
I am glad you said this because the amount of water to flour ratio seemed off to me, but I tried it anyway and it was too sticky. I ended up adding more flour, next time I will cut out some of the water.
I love how little yeast is used and how long the rise time is. These breadsticks were super low fuss. I used a good quality olive oil, and made the crust without parm because I didn’t have any. They were delicious! I’m going to make them again tomorrow, and just double or triple the recipe. Thanks for sharing!
Just tried this recipe and it’s a keeper! Only thing I done differently was making a garlic butter and fresh Parmesan topping instead of the dry style seasoning. Definitely make it if you’re curious, it’s one of the best and I’m used to making many bread recipes.
These look like the breadsticks a pizza place I went to when I was little by my old house made. They served them in a brown paper bag, but they were incredible. They shut down yeaaaaaars ago and I’ve been looking for a similar recipe and I hope this is it! Will return once I’ve made :3 super excited
Made these and dough was almost liquid so added flour til a little drier and they were very good. Maybe different altitude or something making the dough come out wetter but easy fix and the seasoning was delicious. Very good ty
Finished product was delicious. I doubled the recipe, starting with 5 cups flour and 2.5 cups warm water. Ended up using 6, 1/4cups flour total. Never had a firm ball like the video. Dough was still a bit shaggy. But the breadsticks were a great success and my grandkids gobbled them up.

Instead of the “butter spray” couldn’t we use egg wash?
You could, as an alternative to the spray though I would recommend just melted butter instead.
Cooking with Kyo ok thanks!
This is a lot closer to the kind of breadsticks I like.
Light and fluffy~
Thank you!!
Good to hear, thanks for watching!
These were too soft and airy... they fell apart easily. I wish they had a little more bite/chew. I would def add more garlic powder and use only 1 cup of water. Thank u for this recipe and video!
Super !!! Thank you ! I adore and respect guys who know how to cook, and not just comment on video games.!
Hahah, thank you so much!
he sounds like that cool older sibling that'd pick you and your friends up from a party when you're blackout drunk, and he wouldn't tell your parents-
I love this comment 😂
@@cookingwithkyo5744 woah, nice, i'm actually gonna try the recipe, i'll make sure to try my best, haha!
Gotta try, Pizza Hut bread 🥖 sticks hit different in the 90s … miss that nostalgic bread 🥖 stick ! This recipe takes me back 😀
Please give it a try, thanks for watching!
We made these the other night and it was just as easy as he said! We did about half with topping and half without, and both were excellent. A very easy recipe and well-demonstrated!
Awesome, I’m glad to hear it. Thank you for watching!
I made this with my grandmother using our bread machine and we all loved and we will make them for next Thanksgiving thanks for sharing this recipe
Awesome, glad y’all like them! Thanks for watching!
I have made this recipe twice already and both came out successful! ^-^
I'd like to share with you what I did in case anyone has a similar situation:
Both times I did not use a bread maker (I kneaded it by hand) which could maybe be the reason why I experienced this:
1st time I followed the exact measurements for the dough and it came out extremely sticky!
Awesome, thank you for the great helpful hints. I’m so glad it turned out good for you! Thank you so much for watching!
I am glad you said this because the amount of water to flour ratio seemed off to me, but I tried it anyway and it was too sticky. I ended up adding more flour, next time I will cut out some of the water.
Underrated channel. Definitely subscribing. Keep bringing us more of such delicious recipes
Thank you, more videos coming soon!
Please keep making videos, you're good at this and I appreciate you
Thank you!
I love how little yeast is used and how long the rise time is. These breadsticks were super low fuss. I used a good quality olive oil, and made the crust without parm because I didn’t have any. They were delicious! I’m going to make them again tomorrow, and just double or triple the recipe. Thanks for sharing!
If you’re new to baking bread, this is a great recipe to try. Wonderful instructions and the dough is super easy to work with.
Thank you so much, I’m glad you liked it!
I made these twice during Quarantine and I would love to do it again
Do it!!! 😊 thank you so much for watching!
Just tried this recipe and it’s a keeper! Only thing I done differently was making a garlic butter and fresh Parmesan topping instead of the dry style seasoning. Definitely make it if you’re curious, it’s one of the best and I’m used to making many bread recipes.
Great recommendation, thank you so much for watching!
These look like the breadsticks a pizza place I went to when I was little by my old house made. They served them in a brown paper bag, but they were incredible. They shut down yeaaaaaars ago and I’ve been looking for a similar recipe and I hope this is it! Will return once I’ve made :3 super excited
I made it today and it was absolutely amazing 👌🏽thanks so much for Recipe☺️
Thank you!
Made these and dough was almost liquid so added flour til a little drier and they were very good. Maybe different altitude or something making the dough come out wetter but easy fix and the seasoning was delicious. Very good ty
Awesome! That’s great to hear, thank you for the support and I’m glad you liked it!

Oh wow this looks very delicious. Gonna give the recipe a try. Thanks for sharing!
These are thee only bread sticks I will ever make from now on. I added some chopped garlic on top and it tastes delicious!
That sounds delicious, thank you so much for watching!
Kyo..love breadsticks. I used to buy breadstick for my dinner but now this is sooo easy to make, I will make them. Love you for this. Thank you.
Thank you!
Good video mate, the algorithm has blessed me with this one. Definitely giving these a try.
Awesome, I hope you enjoy!
Oh my God it looks so good
Thanks!
Glad you like it, thanks for watching!
this was just recommended to me and i really enjoyed the video. will try this recipe for sure!
Thank you!
I would eat that as a meal every day, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, high at 2am, they look soooo good.
