I really like that you explicitly mention the holes in your theory. Not only does it show your honesty, but it also makes it easier for theorists to jump in and find out new ways to perhaps fix the holes or come up with new ideas.
Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, James 2:24,26 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. John 3:16 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
I think it's just genius how you connected all of the clues about Patient 46 being Gregory from the most bizarre hints like post-it notes and simple handwriting. It always amazes me how much work and research you put into FNAF theories in general. Despite all the holes you mentioned in the theory, I think it's still a great theory.
@@zachariahjohnson3406 wtf are you taling about this is just him telling what he thinks, most of his comments are actually things you would expect under the videos the reason he is so popular is because everyone seems to see him under every single video they see.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Whether or not Scott always had everything planned out, he always made the player think he did. Every game from Scott felt like he knew the full story and you could too if you could just put the pieces of the puzzle together. That was the draw of FNaF. Security Breach is the first game that feels like it's creators didn't have the full story planned out when they made it. As if someone threw clues in the game so the player would be satisfied, but they themselves had no idea what those clues actually meant.
Honestly, I feel like we’re trying to piece together a puzzle without all the pieces. Let’s not forget that there will be DLC for this game that might fill holes or even create a whole new theory.
After the livestream it really feels like the DLC is gonna be a prequel or sequel that fills in most of the gaps. It sounded a lot like since the community had SB's story pinned since VR, Steel Wool may have added some cool twists that just weren't fully cooked or ironed out with the canon yet. Based on what's already here, I know there'll always be corners of this story that never tuck in right, but I'm just looking forward to the fully realized thing.
Another thing I just thought of regarding the Gregory is a robot theory (hopefully this hasn't been covered yet): Vanessa's hair is very realistic looking, as if it could be very soft while Gregory's is just sculpted and doesn't have that soft hair texture to it.
I’m pretty sure Mat forgot to mention that in the twisted ones., Charlie is building robot heads that are learning how to speak and one of them says “Why is I”
I dare michael to turn into an 8 year old and rename himself crying child and then wear a striped shirt with blue pants and restyle his hair and then I dare crying child to turn into a 14 year old and restyle his hair and get a tan and then turn into a furry and wear a grey shirt with dark teal pants and change his name to Michael and then I dare then to switch personalities and then souls and then they will be the same person

What if Gregory is an upgraded version of the Lonely Freddys and maybe he was given crying child's backstory or memories to make him more real for kids. It would tie into him attending Cassie's birthday.
I'm gonna be frank here: I believe that the two contradicting angles may have been done on purpose by the devs, sort of two ways the franchise could go in the future, and which one will be canon and which one will be retconned/turned into a red herring retroactively will depend on which angle gets more traction.
I'm not a fnaf lore expert but when I read that Vanessa was recommended anonymously from someone at the top, my first thought was that it was Afton. At first I thought it had to do with the virus that was in the computer systems, but with the canon ending it could have also been him as burntrap. That kinda patches up the issue Matpat brought up about Gregory being afraid of Vanessa even though he supposedly recommended her. It's because he didn't recommend her at all.
That would make sense, then maybe he was the patient 46 and the reason the therapist thought Gregory was the manipulative deceitful one was because Afton was able to give that therapist false records.
i think youre both right i think afton is controlling gregory thats why gregory is scared of vanessa *and* eliminated the therapists without remembering doing so
I always found it odd that Gregory didn't even respond to the post it room, when he responds to other places when you walk in, when this is by far the most remarkable room
Ok we can all agree that we need this. When the storyline is over Scott Cawthon needs to explain the whole lore start to finish so we can actually make sense of this game. WE NEED HELP
Matt: There's no evidence that Vanny sees herself as a child! Vanny: *swings her arms when she skips around and runs like a toddler when chasing Gregory*
Nah, that doesn't work as a debunk because if the theory is that he's such a proficient hacker than it's certainly possible he'd be able to put himself on the schedules for each therapist or something along those lines.
It’s incredible that after all these years, lots of us are still glued to the FNAF lore through all it’s twists and turns. It’s fun to see how complex this lore has gotten and how no one idea seems to be able to explain everything.
I gave up after FNAF 3 in terms of the lore actually being coherent. I got a little interested again with the FNAF 6 but this one has got me lost again lol
Since Elizabeth is theorized to be the llc owner now for the pizzaplex, it may make a bit more sense for her to go to the therapy. Also the internal memo for the security guard from someone from hr makes a bit more semse
Another evidence against Patient 46 being Gregory: Patient 46's female gender was revealed in the international translations of Security Breach, where the therapists speak to her with feminine nouns. In the English version of the game, her gender is never stated.
agreed also Baby probably would see her father in Vanny. If 46 is referred to as she, there's that. 3, where sure Gregory is still figuring himself out then how would he know how to kill, unless the post-its don't cover the point where he remembers how to of course
It's striking to come back to this theory after Scott has come out and admitted that Security breach had an issue in that he tried to keep the lore vague with what he gave steel wool, so they took what he gave them and added their own pieces to try and make it work, it wasn't what Scott had envisioned, and you're really better using the books to help fill in the blanks in terms of Security Breach.
Real answer, Steel Wool threw stuff at the wall to see what would stick. They tried to incorporate too many Easter eggs from past games. It’s also pretty cannon that Scott leaves hanging questions and then listens to the fans (then chooses one of the popular ones.) All in all, I think eventually there needs to be some closure or at least some consistency / premeditation.
18:47 was a bit weirder hearing that as he was standing right infront of the garbage disposal as apart of my strategy for ensuring i could survive not knowing what was about to happen XD
Gregory being "the hacker" is weird to me, considering he had no idea how to "hack" that console in the beginning, where Freddie is the one that suggested using the Mr Hippo magnet.
he could be acting dumb. i mean after all we have no idea how can he get into Freddy's stomach in the first place. he could be already there, waiting for freddy to go on stage and then disable his program by using his magic hacking skill.
I wouldn't give up on this theory tho. Remember this line we hear from Baby: "The only thing that matters is knowing how to pretend." She could be faking a persona of liking dark basements.
@@ForeverLaxx easy money? Man either you don't know how long proper research takes, or you're sent by some other channel trying to say "old man matpat out here making baseless claims again!!!"
@@chrisi7127 It's pretty easy to make up information, pretend the game supports it, then leech funds from all the FNAF children. Just because you think it's difficult doesn't mean it is.
What I understand from this is that there could be more than one Gregory. Three Gregories fits with the theme of the number three. It would also explain why Gregory acts so different everytime we see something related to him. One Gregory could be the therapy patient that goes after the therapists. Another Gregory could be the one that wrote the post it notes. And the third is the one we play as, who just got booted up. This would explain why he doesn’t seem to know the pizzaplex that well and why he can’t just hack the doors open to leave. It’s because he hasn’t learned that much yet. That’s at least the best explanation I can think of for it
yeah kinda whould make sense but remember, Henry's datter? there where 4 of her so wouldn't make sense for 3 Gregories other then more references to 3 Gregories
@@ajeeh7708 maybe each robot malfunctioned in some way. Like therapy Gregory may have been hacked by Afton. Maybe the post is Gregory was in an accident since he lived underground with dangerous stuff around. Having three identical Gregories just means the others had problems and stopped working
I think that honestly when you look at the final product, from the gameplay to the lore, Markiplier hit it on the head. There was two(maybe more) directions that steel wool wanted to develop security breach into. They never were able to come to a compromise which is why it was delayed and buggy. They just needed to release something, even if it wasn’t complete by the lore or gameplay standards.
Here’s a potential theory: out of all the prize boxes in the Pizzaplex, 9 of them contain themed shirts. As the bad ending shows, 9 children have gone missing. Maybe Gregory found their shirts in those prize boxes?
Do they all have different mascots of the fnaf franchise on it?/gen cause that would be a hint at who they would be either possessing, or representing. It's been a thing since fnaf 1. Susie got killed, and she was put in Chica, possessing her. And it would help identify what gender are they, since most of the animatronics with confirmed genders are possed by the same gender. Susie, Jeremy, Fritz, and the rest.
@@piercelindenberg6842 that actually gets me thinking. We all know Cassidy and the Crying Child right? Those two posses one entity. But what if split souls posses multiple? Like how Andrew merged with Aftons soul, but instead of merging, one soul split into two.
@@lampy8231 maybe? It’s an interesting idea, anyway. I thought that Vanny’s victims were put into endoskeletons and then turned into Remnant to resurrect Burntrap.
Dear Matpat, idk if u will notice me, but looking back at ur videos, when u looked into the therapist with Gregory and Vanessa, it really reminded me of a video u did “Game theory: Fnaf security beach, I know the BIG TWIST…I think”. Hope this helps.
I agree, the story of this franchise is getting incredibly frustrating to follow. Thanks for always making these videos and getting us all up to speed.
Actually, if you ever get to see how Vanny runs/walks around, Vanny walks in avery childish way, skipping around and her arms swinging, and when Vanny jumpscares you, she spins you in a circle. Kind of childish,if you ask me. Also when we first hear Vanny in Help Wanted, she sounds a lot like how Gregory sounds in this game, like a child trying to sound like they're grown. So, it's completely possible that Vanny can be seen in a childish way, so it can make sense that the therapist talks to Patient 46 like a child and Vanny seems to express displeasure with a lot of things a child would like, much how like some kids try to seem cool by not liking those things. So yeah that theory does make a little sense.
That's a big leap. Even if we interpret her animations as childish that doesn't mean a therapist would talk down so much like that. I've meant childlike adults and they know what these words mean. Plus, Vanessa talking never sounds like an adult, she sounds like a reluctant follower. Vanny DEFINITELY doesn't sound like a kid, she sounds like a serial killer. Plus she's fully grown so she would fit in the chair. Big stretch
@@austinbryan6759 the way 46 sat in the chair and acted through some of the tapes fit vannys description. its like mpd. multiple personality disorder. thats why they seem to be way to different. also what vanny did to Freddy will never be forgiven. the way she some how coded almost evrey night robot to "dismantle freddy." 46 not vanny.
Do you think kinda like an age regression thing, she goes into a children like mindset hence the walking and stuff and when if she’s patient 46, when the therapist talks to her she acts like she’s talking to a child, cuz the therapist would know all her mental problems and things or trauma so if the therapist had suggested her to do age regression that probably why they all talk to 46 as a kid, cuz they could be an adult in a child like mindset. Only reason why I’m thinking of this is cuz I’m an age regress or and it just came to mind after reading over your comment.

Gregory being a robot would explain why there was a hesitation to introduce himself to Freddy. He never had to tell someone who he was. Its a means of dialog he most likely never rehearsed for.
Fun fact supporting mat pats theory that he never actually mentioned for some reason. If you hack the game to give yourself the fazer blaster or faz cam early and shoot Vanessa with it, NOT VANNY, (yes I know they’re the same but to the game files they are different enemies with different behaviors) she will flinch, and start making weird glitchy robotic noises, possibly indicating Vanessa is a robot as well. And theorizing about this as well, this could be why Vanessa only is a threat at one point and only before you get a weapon because if you shot her it’d give it away instantly. Edit: also supporting this a bit, the fazerblaster is said in game to cause irreparable eye damage if a human gets shot in the eye with it. As head of security Vanessa should know this. However when she gets shot, her animation along with the sounds mentioned above, has her rubbing her eyes for a few seconds and then she carries on like nothing happened as if her eyes didn’t just get hit with a powerful laser pointer (let’s be honest that’s what it is lol) only explanation I can think of is her eyes aren’t human js.
Just looking at the game overall, I think major parts of the story were either cut, never finished or a combination of both. It seems like they had an idea of what they wanted to convey for a story but in the end, it's just a jumble of bits and pieces thrown together in a way that's kinda-sorta playable as a game but doesn't make any sense from a story perspective. I don't think there is a way to finish the puzzle because a bunch of important pieces are completely missing.
8:38 doubt mat pat will see this but as a quick thought, Crying Child might not blame his brother at all, blue green and red are the colors of his brother's friend's shirts. Crying child doesn't blame Mike... he blames his friends, he blames peer pressure, he blames Golden Freddy, the yellow note
Personally I disagree, as much as I love the brothers I do believe the crying child puts some fault on his brother for him dying. I don’t think he was peer pressured, even when he was alone in his room his brother scared him- Although yeah interesting theory, i think it’s a different approach
23:45 What if one of the characters has multiple personalities? It’s not unlikely that Gregory’s robot body could also hold more than one spirit, as we’ve seen this with Michael and William sharing the golden Freddy plush as you mentioned in one of the previous episodes. Personally, I’m leaning more towards the multiple personality idea. I think the Sun and Moon daycare attendants could be a hint at that.
Vanny keeps saying “Are you having fun yet?” like a kid and she’s always skipping rather than walking. Since she’s noticeably a different person from Vanessa personality-wise, it makes sense that the therapists would talk to her like a child.
yeah that makes sense and since its a different therapist (and i dont see every therapy room having the smae chair) it makes sense for it not to fit vanny who body build is kinda different from vanessa
@@illcomeupwithaname4323 vanny has the same body build as vanessa because it's legit her dressed up 😂and they are labeled as the same patient over all 5 therapist and no one is going dressed up as a bunny to a therapist
Omg I’m so glad that you FINALLY talked about the post it room! I couldn’t believe that no one had drawn this connection to Gregory yet. It fits perfectly with the crying child robot theory. It was my immediate thought when I saw this room. Thank you for bringing this to light!
@@colt1903 no they mean the games direction. Ofc hes gonna be attached to fnaf but now steel wool has to confirm any lore not scott because hes loosely involved
And that kind of storytelling where they intentionally leave out gaps is a strategy on how they get you the customer to keep coming back for more. It's not longer Scott making the games but rather corporate fingers pulling the strings. By that means, they are more than happy to leave an unfinished product to make some more 🤑
Okeh I solved patient 46 I think …… it’s Cassidy proof : you know how afton has two forms of himself one digital one physical so Cassidy physical: patient 46 digital :princess and also she killed who ever was close to it bcs she wanted to get revenge and no one else should kill the virus before she finally gets revenge GOT IT !
13:54 - Apart from the fact that she skips along in the game when she's going after you, like a child. Or the fact that she speaks about "surprises" like an excited kid.
Literally the first thing that came to mind when he mentioned Vanny not portraying herself like a child. Plus it'd make sense for her to hack due to glitchtrap's influence and kill off the therapists as patient 46.
But William does that as well, in Fnaf VR he skips around and dances. Even makes movements that a kid would make so he can lure kids in. Also, the therapist has explained simple words to patient 46 and how they don’t fit in the chair. Meaning they are a actual child physically and mentally. Vanny is a grown woman.
What Matt said: "for those of you who don't know, there are 16 CD's around the map..." What I thought Matt would say: "for those of you who don't know, CD's are what we used to use for music and keeping pictures"
This whole series feels less like a well-planned mystery and more like each installment deliberately leaves some loose threads to be tied up later. It's interesting. The lore is more or less consistent. Whatever doesn't make sense now will be straightened out later. Or at least that's how it's gone.
Well, we are in the new fnaf stage since help wanted so everything now is new, we can't fulfill theories cause we are only in the 3rd game of the new stage
Hear me out, could the one that is “pulling the strings” be mom Afton? We see a Ballora-like service bot at the family table, which is assumed to be mom Afton. If what Matt is saying is true (Micheal=Freddy, CC=Gregory, Vanessa=Elizabeth) then the entire family, except mom, is at the pizza plex. Of course she may be on the Freddy blob but I think it would be a smart way to introduce her character and finally give her pov of the story.
Maybe It's just a coincidence, but at 10:07, When the crying child is already headless and Elizabeth is inside baby (because her hair turned red when it's orange and baby's hair is red) the numbers on the poster are 1-800-083, those last 2 numbers (83) or '83 or 1983 where following matpat's theory is when Elizabeth is already been captured by baby and the crying child is headless. Yeah, probably just a coincidence.
If anyone has pointed out this detail before I'd be impressed, but "Gregory" (the name) is based on the Greek word for watchman. So in a way, we are playing as the security guard
@@rqnpoe2724 The masculine first name Gregory derives from the Latin name "Gregorius", which came from the late Greek name "Γρηγόριος" (Grēgórios) meaning "watchful, alert" (derived from Greek "γρηγoρεῖν" "grēgorein" meaning "to watch").
Honestly props to matpat for being able to acknowledge the holes in his theories. He could have just disregarded the contradicting evidence but he even admits that his theories have holes. I agree that security breach feels very frustrating because there’s tons of food for thought (or in this case theories for game) but there’s always a piece of evidence to contradict another piece of evidence, making a solid theory in the larger sense near impossible
Ooh and another thing, the text that says "All for me" could be symbolizing Elizabeth when she says did you not make her just for me when regarding Circus Baby
Elizabeth has a history with that line, much like Evan with "you are broken". Remember the final cutscene of Pizzeria Simulator: _"This was a gift, FOR US... All of those little souls, in one place, JUST FOR US..."_
Something that still always gives me chills to this day is what Scott said many years ago. In the fnaf 4 mini game, "Why would the tiny toy Chica be missing her beak?"
I think maybe its because she did the bite of 83, she lost her beak so she could bite your head, because she clearly cant open her beak and had to get rid of it to bite jeremy or whoever the victim of the bite of 83 was.

@Jon Hesson nobody in this thread was claiming to have DID. I know this is a continuous issue, but try to check your reading literacy before you jump the gun so badly.
Two things I just realized: 1. Gregory’s initial objective was to hide and get away from Vanessa. Freddy and the player automatically assume that the idea is to get him out of the Pizzaplex, but I don’t think Gregory himself makes the allusion that escape is his plan. He just seems like he’s going along with it. 2. When the doors open, Gregory automatically assumed Freddy can come with him. That might just be because they’ve bonded throughout the story, but it seems weird that Gregory would spend a lot of the game focusing on Freddy’s battery only to forget that there wasn’t an easy way to charge him outside. Unless, of course, he’s actually never been outside. I’m still not sure I like the idea he might be a robot, I’d prefer to think he might be related to Henry Emily’s family, but considering the evidence…
@@dylsdesktop It wouldn’t really make sense, though, not in the game timeline. Sammy was Charlie Emily’s twin in the books and Charlie died in the 1980s, which means that he’d probably be in his 40s if he ever appeared. Now, having Gregory be his son or something like that…
the reason I love game theory is the fact he actually tries to find evidence instead of claiming a theory and just leaving it there. even digging threw the books, the mini games inside the games, cds, finding secrets in the games, looking threw reddit, etc.
Has it truly been seven years already? I still remember when your first ever FNAF theory came out, I skipped PE to watch it. That was back in middle school, and yet it still feels recent. Well here's to another seven years of fun theories.

The Gregory being patient 46 could be supported by Chica's line, "Who wants candy?" Chica also says his name when the others don't say it, so her knowing even more about Gregory isn't far-fetched.
"Y'know, I think it would be a lot cooler if the animatronics could "hear" you. It would remove the need for security bots and would allow creativity in strategies. For example, you might find Chica in her room while you're trying to get the party pass, and to lure her out, you make a noise to cause her to leave and investigate. " - Freddy Fazbear
something that always bugged me was cassidy’s connection to the aftons always just being that she was angry for being killed, and i understand why that is a valid connection and all but it never say right with me. i always felt like there was more to her story but never saw anything about it and was not involved enough to do my own research. i’m actually surprised that the thought that maybe cassidy wouldn’t be patient 46 didn’t pop up. the ability to kill off the therapists without a second glance is not out of character (where in my opinion it would be more out of character for gregory/crying child to do that) and the established connection between vanessa and cassidy is already there in the princess quest games. i don’t know i feel like there’s something more to be explored here so mattpat please if you have any thoughts i would love to know! great video btw i’ve been following your fnaf vids since elementary school :)
I was just thinking about this, I’m not sure how well Cassidy could be connected to patient 46 but one thing that’s always bothered me is exactly what you said. Cassidy doesn’t really seem to a have a detailed back story and I feel like maybe this connection could be it. Maybe another robot child was built and Cassidy latched onto it? This theory doesn’t really explain all the notes as well other than maybe the repetition of “three” is still the afton children that Cassidy wants to lure to the pizzaplex, a sort of of obsession? I’m not sure if this would make sense but I would love to see if matpat could connect the dots. I love your videos!!

Honestly I believe that feeling is what makes these games amazing. Keeps the games interesting.

I'm gonna be frank here: I believe that the two contradicting angles may have been done on purpose by the devs, sort of two ways the franchise could go in the future, and which one will be canon and which one will be retconned/turned into a red herring retroactively will depend on which angle gets more traction.

It would also explain why Gregory acts so different everytime we see something related to him. One Gregory could be the therapy patient that goes after the therapists. Another Gregory could be the one that wrote the post it notes. And the third is the one we play as, who just got booted up.

Big stretch
@@austinbryan6759 the way 46 sat in the chair and acted through some of the tapes fit vannys description. its like mpd. multiple personality disorder. thats why they seem to be way to different. also what vanny did to Freddy will never be forgiven. the way she some how coded almost evrey night robot to "dismantle freddy." 46 not vanny.
glitch trap is also goofy like that so we can actually interpret that as vanny being controlled by afton
Gregory being a robot would explain why there was a hesitation to introduce himself to Freddy. He never had to tell someone who he was. Its a means of dialog he most likely never rehearsed for.
he was also being hunted by Vanessa
I mean hes a kid in a scary situation, so it makes sense he'd be nervous
@@littlemau1360 yeah but he wasnt nervous talking to freddy
@@shelbs8015 He was nervous of being found by Vanny. Gregory even begs Freddy to be quiet. He's very obviously nervous
After watching Mat's latest couple couple theories, I'd say it's far more likely patient #46 is the Elizabeth robot/baby as opposed to Gregory.
I think as of now it’s Gregory right, because of ggy
Just looking at the game overall, I think major parts of the story were either cut, never finished or a combination of both. It seems like they had an idea of what they wanted to convey for a story but in the end, it's just a jumble of bits and pieces thrown together in a way that's kinda-sorta playable as a game but doesn't make any sense from a story perspective. I don't think there is a way to finish the puzzle because a bunch of important pieces are completely missing.
If we're lucky they'll fix some of it with dlcs
It's like piecing together a 1000 piece puzzle only to realize that some pieces never came with the box from the factory.

You can blame the community rushing them for that.
That would actually makes a lot of sense
that's fracking sad
Personally I disagree, as much as I love the brothers I do believe the crying child puts some fault on his brother for him dying. I don’t think he was peer pressured, even when he was alone in his room his brother scared him-
Although yeah interesting theory, i think it’s a different approach
Agreed. Crying Child always seems more so scared and confused than angry.
why would he blame golden Freddy I don't understand
At this point FNAF deserves its own theory channel.
I know he does other games to theorize, but this is basically the FNAF theory channel. He only really does FNAF. He has been for seven years.
i mean it would be kind of awkward if he made a fnaf theory channel and then fnaf just stopped being a thing.
Is that now what this channel is?
23:45 What if one of the characters has multiple personalities?
It’s not unlikely that Gregory’s robot body could also hold more than one spirit, as we’ve seen this with Michael and William sharing the golden Freddy plush as you mentioned in one of the previous episodes.
Personally, I’m leaning more towards the multiple personality idea. I think the Sun and Moon daycare attendants could be a hint at that.
I have a feeling that even Scott doesn’t actually what the ending to this game is and how it all connects.
@curtando NS1 ??????????????? vanessa and vanny are the same person what-
Wait didn’t we say this 7 years ago?
Vanny keeps saying “Are you having fun yet?” like a kid and she’s always skipping rather than walking. Since she’s noticeably a different person from Vanessa personality-wise, it makes sense that the therapists would talk to her like a child.
Why would the same person have different serial number? for therapist if she is the same person why treat her as two different patients?
yeah that makes sense and since its a different therapist (and i dont see every therapy room having the smae chair) it makes sense for it not to fit vanny who body build is kinda different from vanessa
Glitchtrap skips around in Help Wanted too. She just tries to be like him.

@@sanathequeen3285 but how did she get to therapy in the first place if she’s stuck with Afton in the pizzaplex
That would be bigger than 10 bibles
I love how MatPat looks at every small miniscule detail but doesn't go over the "Friends forever" note AKA "were still your friends" from FNAF 4

What Matt said: "for those of you who don't know, there are 16 CD's around the map..."
What I thought Matt would say: "for those of you who don't know, CD's are what we used to use for music and keeping pictures"

This whole series feels less like a well-planned mystery and more like each installment deliberately leaves some loose threads to be tied up later. It's interesting.
The lore is more or less consistent. Whatever doesn't make sense now will be straightened out later. Or at least that's how it's gone.
Yupppp
Exactly
Well, we are in the new fnaf stage since help wanted so everything now is new, we can't fulfill theories cause we are only in the 3rd game of the new stage
Hear me out, could the one that is “pulling the strings” be mom Afton? We see a Ballora-like service bot at the family table, which is assumed to be mom Afton. If what Matt is saying is true (Micheal=Freddy, CC=Gregory, Vanessa=Elizabeth) then the entire family, except mom, is at the pizza plex. Of course she may be on the Freddy blob but I think it would be a smart way to introduce her character and finally give her pov of the story.
ua-cam.com/video/L0G9WRRWIuM/v-deo.html.
That would be awesome and I'd love to see it happen.
definitely an option
It isn't mom Afton it's Clara Afton.

Wait wait wait. Golden freddy plush watches crying child a lot. that is so interesting.
@@sansgaming7607 thats a stretch
@@perfecpair maybe but whatever lore gets popularly accepted may just be retconned in.
no it doesn't?? what do you think the greek word for watchman is? because the closest word that comes to the greek name for gregory is fast
He learned from his Hollow Knight theory.
Ooh and another thing, the text that says "All for me" could be symbolizing Elizabeth when she says did you not make her just for me when regarding Circus Baby
Elizabeth has a history with that line, much like Evan with "you are broken". Remember the final cutscene of Pizzeria Simulator:
_"This was a gift, FOR US... All of those little souls, in one place, JUST FOR US..."_
Something that still always gives me chills to this day is what Scott said many years ago. In the fnaf 4 mini game, "Why would the tiny toy Chica be missing her beak?"
@Draw line animation ratio
WAIT A MINUTE
AYOOOOOOOOO THATS SUS
I think maybe its because she did the bite of 83, she lost her beak so she could bite your head, because she clearly cant open her beak and had to get rid of it to bite jeremy or whoever the victim of the bite of 83 was.

Kudos to Mat for casually acknowledging how doctors are supposed to treat alters. More folks need that level of knowledge
Attack of the droids
Right? I don't have alters, but it's really comforting hearing him talk about healthy treatment towards them :)
I realized that most of the questions the doctors asked were yes-no type questions. Makes sense y'know?
@Jon Hesson you’re not wrong in some aspects, however what you said doesn’t have anything to do with what they said.
@Jon Hesson nobody in this thread was claiming to have DID. I know this is a continuous issue, but try to check your reading literacy before you jump the gun so badly.
Two things I just realized:
Oh my god, what if he’s Sammy Emily, y’know, the same Sammy from the books that Mat wrote off as not being an actual character
ua-cam.com/video/wPvMNzTwjC4/v-deo.html
@@dylsdesktop It wouldn’t really make sense, though, not in the game timeline. Sammy was Charlie Emily’s twin in the books and Charlie died in the 1980s, which means that he’d probably be in his 40s if he ever appeared. Now, having Gregory be his son or something like that…
@@justin2308hmmmm…
8:30 the close up drawing could also be a reference to the golden Freddy picture that would be on the walls
the reason I love game theory is the fact he actually tries to find evidence instead of claiming a theory and just leaving it there. even digging threw the books, the mini games inside the games, cds, finding secrets in the games, looking threw reddit, etc.
We call that dedication and determination.

The Gregory being patient 46 could be supported by Chica's line, "Who wants candy?" Chica also says his name when the others don't say it, so her knowing even more about Gregory isn't far-fetched.
Yes
now that I think about it, you’re right
but what about vannesa?
I Might as well think patient 46 is vannessa but in vanny controlled form.

"Y'know, I think it would be a lot cooler if the animatronics could "hear" you. It would remove the need for security bots and would allow creativity in strategies. something that always bugged me was cassidy’s connection to the aftons always just being that she was angry for being killed, and i understand why that is a valid connection and all but it never say right with me. i always felt like there was more to her story but never saw anything about it and was not involved enough to do my own research. i’m actually surprised that the thought that maybe cassidy wouldn’t be patient 46 didn’t pop up. the ability to kill off the therapists without a second glance is not out of character (where in my opinion it would be more out of character for gregory/crying child to do that) and the established connection between vanessa and cassidy is already there in the princess quest games. i don’t know i feel like there’s something more to be explored here so mattpat please if you have any thoughts i would love to know! great video btw i’ve been following your fnaf vids since elementary school :)
This is interesting
Cassidy doesn't have a physical body, I don't think it'd be possible for her to be Patient 46
@@godlysocks is it not possible for Cassidy to be in the robot body?
@@Emmapopsicle That'll be revealed in the 45th book and the 134th game.
Sometimes I think Matthew Patrick is human because he is just solving the impossible
Don't you think it's weird how Gregory hesitated to tell Freddy his name? He responded to Freddy like he made it up on the spot.
I did watch a theory video where he brought up this moment but he didn’t specify if it’s the only instance where the MC stutters... by chance do you know if that’s the case? I haven’t played the game yet.
Made up on the spot, or taken from someone else...?
Or maybe he was just unsure if he can trust Freddy.
I think chicken man has a point, all the other robots try to get him so he doesn’t know if he can trust Freddy
