Sephiroth is a bit easier in the KH2, but he is a lot harder in KH1 with more health, no reaction command, but as long u level up more, he will b fun and a challenging boss 2 fight.
Hollow Bastien return there after the swarm of Heartless attack and he is standing on the cliff the moment you walk out to the ledge and speak to him he will turn to strike*points* make sure as you battle him you reflect his magic and staying in the air is really helpful too...Good luck!!
note, you can use the wisdom dash backwards to escape the pillars flaming hurtfulness, and can use 1 parry to break a ground combo. otherwise pretty solid fight..
The KH1 Sephiroth is all about superglide. you actually have to time your responses to his moves on this one. you guard too soon, he eats you alive. you guard too slow, he eats you alive. It's a lot more involved than the KH1 fight.
when he send all those energy balls around you, i just use Aero (i dont know if its aero, is that shield thing) and that reflect them away. it works fine when he use its standar combo, when he star hitting you, use that shield (whatever was its name) a lot of time until he stops, and he will take all the damage of its own combo
ok dudes, heres a trick if you wanna level up, from the orginization castle entrance, fight all the enimies from there to the entrance to the final boss, your guranteed 1 level up even if ur in your 80's
Notice, when compared to KH 2.5 with the 1000 slash attack Sephiroth does in this version it literally sounds like an insane amount of hits happens in an instant but in 2.5 it's just a couple disjointed clangs. The quality of KH has decreased so harshly in all its newer incarnations it's really sad to see.
@stallord8 it is really simple there is a chest that has something called an ultima recipe i believe it is in the computer room in radiant garden just outside of that room where it is making all the heartless just follow that recipe
I started playing KH2 again a month or two ago on the hardest difficulty. I haven't finished the game the first time playing it a couple years ago, so this is my second time playing it. I tried making it harder by using garbage gear (first 2 keyblades and rubbish armour) and advancing at a low level. I haven't even used that guard skill you get around the start of the game (is it even good?). I'm on the last level currently, but I tried fighting this guy and it feels impossible. If I get hit once, like 1/3 or 1/4 of my hp is gone and he gets me in a combo where I just die. I'm like lvl 40-42 and i'm wondering how the hell to beat him. I guess I really need to level up...
@Artificialraven you didn't show us your status. because of it,i wanna ask you: what lvl are you? how did you get the orichalcum+ that we have to collect all kind of materials to get it?? (i'm sorry for my bad english)
mxriderdude7 also, for the ocrainum+s, you got to get ALL the shards gems and cystals and go to a moogle(the flyin mouse pig pixes) any moogle. u've also got to complete the godess of destiny cup in the underworld. make sure u got all 7. it says uve gotta get 13, but theres only seven in the game. Oh! also uve gotta complete dawn of a new day in atlantica. also, when i said theres another, there isn't. just in sunset terrence on a building. (hop on the train. its the only way.)
mxriderdude7 you get ocraiulum+s located in the brink of dispar in the world that never was, all the pages in 100 arcr wood, and i think in twilight town (also, the recipe is in the mansion). thats all i can think of. for the rest just kill heartless and nobodies. (if your lookin for dense shards,gems, etc. just go to the world that never was.
The best weapons to fight serphiroth with is the Ultima weapon or the Oblivion keyblade.Warning:Large chance of getting owned if your level is under 60
man, something that i didnt get when i battled with him is:why when he was with 1 hp i continued attacking him for 5 MINUTES and still i didnt beat him
hey i know you put this a while ago but if you want to lvl up quie fast go to the world that never was and just go through it killing everything :D i estimate that 1 go throught the whole castle part of the map from start to finish gets about 40,000xp and it takes about that to lvl up around 70+ untill about 75,000 for lvl 90 to 99 :) hope this helped
The first time I tried fighting him, I tried at around 50 and my ass kicked, I don't think I can beat him at a low level like that. My reflexes aren't what they used to be.
its hard buddy BUT... depending if your on ps2 of ps4 I can help with ps2. its in item synthesis of course, you must level up your moogle to max, most of the orachalcom + are in chests and story missions AND completing the items list in the synthesis shop with the oracalcome reward . they say your have to defeat this at lvl 70 but i defeat this guy on average lvl just going through game and suddenly ive encountered sephirot and it took me around 1 or 2 hours just to finish this battle defeat this with block and counter
Yeah, I remember I tried that a couple of times, I was about level 51 so I didn't have level 3 glide, high jump or any of the main ones you need, so as you can tell I failed pretty bad, so I finally did it at around the same level as you not blocking.
I sped through the game and tried to beat him around lvl 48, But i got my ass kicked about 17 god damn times but i finally beat him around lvl 58. It was a damn challenge
You gotta turn into any form in the last world, I forget the name of it sometimes sorry >_>, regardless if you turn into a form there it'll randomly change into final form and once you get it you keep it for good ^-^ hope that helped you

I beat sephiroth as a level 48 on proud mode using rumbling Rose, 6 elixirs, curaga, some specific abilities, reflega, high jump lvl 2, aerial dodge lvl 2, quick run lvl 1 and thats about it. no lie
@OKSStudios you gotta get used to it cuz its a pattern. cuz i kept dieing too. but wen i beat him finally, i nearly made a perfect cuz i was so a custom to it. its easy in a way wen you get used too it

i loved the first kh batle cuz i used a codebreaker code that let me play as cloud so it felt real (also did this for kh 2 (did u know cloud could jump without having to do a atytack or anything (and actually fights instead of that weird flashyy move? he actually duz!!!)

I am getting soooooooo close to beating him on Standard! I got him up to one bar of health left, but then he "unleashed hell" upon me. I made the wrong decision using Reflega (lol); I should've glided.
Here's an idea, try fighting him without ability's, with sweet memories, no accessories or armor, And no magic plus items. All of this on proud and at level 45 or bellow.
You have to level up valor form to high jump wisdom form to slide master form to do ariel dodge and final form to glide just get all them to level seven and you should be decent

You can hit him in the air when saying: heartlesss angel and you won't lose all hp and mp you have all forms maxed so you can do high jump glide etc.L2P=learn to play sry for that but when i saw the video i said to myself ''wtf is he doing jump and hit him''

In order to have glide u must max out final form first.

Yeah I relied more on dodging his attacks, I thought it was more fun that way. I still got hit alot but I had a good time.
I like sephiroth voice actor in KH2, he sound more cooler than the first one.

To get all abilities of drive forms just level each form up to max and normal Sora will have those abilities too at level 3.

Nice job. When I fight him I die in about 10 sec. I'm a lvl 44.

Your at level 81! I'm at level 49 and i already beated the game but not him its so hard (for me)

LV.81...i beat him at the same LV. i think.but now im a LV.99 and so is my party and i have the ultiment weapon (who dosn't?)
