@@jeepdino7353 Hmm, your right. I guess what many are asking is why Ukitake is a guardian of hell. Sure part of it is likely the ritual and partly his alleged involvement in the massacre of Ginjo's friends but many are surprised.
@@manuelacosta9463 Ukitake wasn't actually involved though, was he? According to the narrative they're spinning now, anyone with captain level spiritual pressure is incapable of reincarnating, so they have to go to Hell to keep the balance of the worlds from tipping over.
As for why Ukitake is suddenly acting as a Kushinada from the movie, I wonder. In Hellverse I recall Rukia and Renji saying that only a select few Soul Reapers actually manage hell, and most never go anywhere near it.
What if "select few" means former captains? It's not that they become evil or anything. Captains that die just move on to ANOTHER afterlife where they CONTINUE to serve the balance of the worlds, but instead of the world of the living and soul society, now they manage the gates of Hell and keeping the balance in the Soul Society's favor.
Here's hoping for a revamped Ulquiorra, Gin, Stark, ect.

I mean straight up, the Fullbring Arc humanized the entire Manga and anime....... It threw the entire Bleach manga/anime for a loop that brought us back to reality.....
I like any part of the series where they spend time in the real world.

Ginjo is one of my favourite character in Bleach Top 5 definitely. His full bringer powers are just the coolest to me. And I really like Full brings, I wish we explored High Spec humans more and we could have people like Yusuke from YYH in a sense. Well Bleach is back so anything can happen

Ginjo is such a fantastic character. He was also the only one of the three main villains that wasn’t “evil”. He had his motives and honestly I hope we get to see more of him.
Some supporting evidence for Ginjo. On him losing to Ichigo- He was mentally nerfed. He was equal to Ichigo at the beginning of the fight after they both went Bankai. But when he looked into Ichigo's eyes and saw he was trying to understand him, Ginjo went on a sort of mental breakdown, and we know what mental nerfs do to your power level. Before that, Ginjo was clashing with Ichigo evenly, keeping up with his speed, drawing blood etc. After that, Ichigo bare handed Ginjo's Cero and then snapped his Bankai with a physical strike
Now, in CFYOW, backing up the Ginjo at his peak rivaled Ichigo, Tokinada...someone who knows the Soul King's power well and Hikone's power well, stated that Ginjo at that point had the power...not the potential, but the raw power, to become the Soul King himself, and stated that Ginjo could kill both him and Hikone and become the Soul King and destroy the world right then and there. So Ginjo is a 'Soul King' level fighter/combatant. Only issue is that he's literally just like Ichigo in the fact that he doesn't have any shown hax besides power stealing. However, the novel does state that the basic Fullbringer Soul pull manipulates matter and bends the laws of physics, and that was Urahara describing normal FBs and not Aura. So that's potentially some open ended hax. We know Ginjo is the strongest Fullbringer, and in terms of skill with Fullbring, he's second only to Aura herself
Not sure about CFYOW but in the FB ark, Gino although relative to Ichigo narrative wise Ichigo was definitely stronger, dont wanna delve too deep into it but Ichigo never fights with killing intent and he seemingly no diffed Ginjo
@@yikes313 Ichigo not fighting with killing intent isn't necessarily true. Fighting with killing intent is one of the main lessons that Urahara taught him, and that he started actively using ever since fighting Renji for the second time. Not killing your opponent doesn't mean he wasn't striking with killing intent. It's more like fighting to win. Killing Intent is different from Bloodlusted though. Bloodlusted is like Ichigo when he first attacked Tsukishima.
And it wouldn't make sense for Ichigo to be stronger than Ginjo.
Base Ginjo is Relative to Tsukishima who's Relative to Complete FB Ichigo
Shikai Ginjo is stronger than FB Shikai Ichigo, being able to physically disperse his Getsuga's with casual slashes and fight Uryu at the same time
Bankai Ginjo was dead even with FB Bankai Ichigo until Ginjo had his inner monologue and get a mental nerf. We all know how much mentality can affect your actual power in Bleach. And Ichigo didn't power up or get any stronger mid fight, get angry to get a resolve boost, emit more reistsu to say he's going full power etc. Ginjo went from clashing evenly with Ichigo and damaging him before the mental nerf, to getting his cero caught by Ichigo bare handed and getting his Bankai broken after. It's a clear difference before and after the inner monologue
There's alot of reasons for it, like Ginjo genuinely being a good person and never wanting to have killed Ichigo anyways. Keep in mind when Ginjo and Ichigo were friends, that was genuinely Ginjo's actual personality. Ichigo was sort of like a friend/student to Ginjo for that short time and even when he made his heel turn, he still let Ichigo live, and then stated he didn't wanna kill him when they started fighting after Bankai

No, Ginjo isn't even that strong, for starters his power was Ichigo's power, when the captains reactivated the shinigami abilities in Ichigo even with the traces of FB he still possessed were enough for him to show dominance even in Shikai, and when both entered in Bankai, Ichigo crushed the attack of Ginjo with a hand and defeated him in a slash. The narrator can state whatever they want, but Tokinada still could divert the attack of Ginjo with an attack of his own, a Ginjo that was jobbing against Hikone who even at full power couldn't compete with Kenpachi (the guy wasn't even in Shikai). The mere fact that Tokinada who's stated to be around the same level than Yoruichi and Byakuya in power could divert the attack and even survive being hit directly for Ginjo shows they around the same power level, hell in the same novel, base Ginjo was struggling with the Quincy girls and he feared the GRC of Grimmjow.

Ichigo's Fullbring was stated to surpass his FKT levels of power, and when he got his Shinigami powers restored by the 17 month Timeskip training arc Gotei (including Yama) stacked onto his traces from his Complete FB, Ginjo using a portion of Ichigo's Complete FB (Ichigo still had some + Ginjo shared it with most of the other FBs meaning he didn't have 100%) + his own Base Power was stronger than FB Shikai Ichigo to the point where he was gonna 2 v 1 him and Uryu and could neg Ichigo's Getsuga with a casual slash.
Tokinada diverted Ginjo's attack using Hanataro's zan abiltiy. An ability that doesn't scale to his Reiatsu/Stats but scales to the amount of damage it absorbs. At that point, Tokinada had been damaged and or fatally wounded by the Gotei captains, the Sternritters, and the Espada multiple times over. People that get up to the level of Kyorkau, Byakuya and Yoruichi tier (Who are Quincy Elite Guard tier), as well as Base Ginjo multiple times over just so that he could just barely change the angle of Ginjo's attack slightly. So no Tokinada doesn't scale to Bankai Ginjo. It was stated that Base Ginjo nearly cut him in two and the only reason he didn't die there was because Ginjo underestimated his durability
As for Ginjo vs Ichigo in Bankai, they were both evenly matched literally blow for blow, keeping up with each other's speed and drawing blood from each other until Ginjo had a mental/resolve nerf. We know it's confirmed in Bleach that mental state and resolve tie directly into your 'power level'. Ginjo literally only started losing *after* he had his inner monologue about Ichigo and broke down mentally. Before that in their Shikai fight he was stronger and in the Bankai fight they were even
Ginjo never jobbed to Hikone lmao. If you mean when they fought in the SS, Ginjo was in base. Ginjo never went Shikai at all in the novel and only went Bankai to kill Tokinada. Other than that he was in base the whole time. It was stated by Tokinada and the Narrator that Bankai Ginjo could take Hikone.
As for the Quincy girls, Ginjo never feared them. Him, Tsukishima and even Giriko were casual af when fighting them. Ginjo was clowning on Candice calling her Lightning slow even though it was stated in the novel to surpass natural lightning, Tsukishima was planting entire trees with his ability and casual bantering with them while doing it, and even Giriko was casual about it while fighting. Ginjo was never pressured by any of them
As for Grimmjow, Ginjo was never pressed by his GRC other than trying to not get hit while he was in base. He stated that Grimmjow's GRC (which is a major amp to base AP) would be a good match for his *Base Getsuga* after seeing it in action.
There's really no anti feats for Ginjo in the novel or manga that I can think of
Dangai Ichigo is also a transcendent being. The form is important because it's the only time that Hollow Ichigo and Zangetsu physically merged into one being in equal quantity, and then merged with Ichigo's body. It's not "just training". It's a form beyond Bankai where the Shinigami physically merges with their sword. This is made abundantly clear, and Aizen even spells it out when they clash.
Even in the Final Arc, when he ACTUALLY is said to have re-achieved and surpassed the power to defeat Aizen, he still isn't on that level of one-ness with his Zanpakuto. He has the mentality of being one, but not the physical manifestation of it.
I can never see the Fullbringers as Transcendent tier. Just because Ichigo became a Soul King Tier entity for 5 minutes of real world time doesn't mean everyone in the next arc HAS to be that strong. That's assumptive and way too simplistic.
The Scan you showed for saying that Ichigo's fullbring would surpass his Dangai form was literally just Gingo saying that Ichigo would gain his powers back and then some.
The Scan you showed for "confirmation" that Ichigo re-achieved his Dangai state in the fullbring arc said literally nothing of the sort. It just said that he got Soul Reaper powers again.
The Manga doesn't say that Ichigo surpasses the Dangai state until the TYBW.
The most powerful Getsuga that Ichigo has ever fired, if we're being literal, would be the one he used on Juha. Getsuga Juujishou is different. Gran Rey Getsuga is different, and Mugetsu is a HELL of a LOT different. Mugetsu =/= Getsuga. Even so, I need more than an off-handed comment comparing basic attacks, especially when said strike visibly hits the landscape and is said to have only cleaved a mountain. That's nowhere even in the same universe to what a backhand from Dangai Ichigo did. Hell, That's not even close to Ulquiorra's final form's casual energy assaults.

Saying that surpassing dangai Ichigo "isn't all that special" is just completely wrong. because Surpassing Dangai ichigo would mean surpassing Aizen.
Also I'd argue that Fullbring Ichigo is most definately not stroinger than Dangai Ichigo. Just cos cos other characters say something doesn't necessarily mean it's true, for all we know, Ginjo and Chad might've over estimated the power Ichigo could gain cos how on earth would they know how strong Ichigo's Fullbring will be?? It's like Grimmjow saying that he's the strongest or whatever and that clearly isn;t true cos he's number 6. It's like Nnoitra saying he's got the hardest Hierro ever.. so his Hierro is factually harder than the espada's above him or is it just something that he stated with nothing to back it up with?
Ichigo was literally trying to kill Tsukishima with his completed Fullbring and if he really was stronger than Danagi Ichigo (who was stronger than transcended Aizen) then He would've done it with the flick of a finger.. So yeah, until it's shown that Fullbring Ichigo is able to demonstrate feats that matchesa or surpasses Dangai Ichigo, you're just going off of very incorrect assumptions here.

You said that Ginjo fired a Getsuga Tensho that surpassed Ichigo's strongest.. then you showed the scan and it only said it rivalled.. meaning equal (in power in this case) not surpassed. Two very different things. And no it doesn't mean Ginjo's Getsuga Tensho surpassed the Mugetsu that almost killed Aizen, because that wasn't even a Getsuga Tensho, it's loiterally in the name... It's Mugetsu, not a Getsuga Tensho 🤦♀🤦♀

Watching people try to piece together Bleach is SO painful. You could ask literally ANYTHING about Bleach and every single comment would be a completely different opinion.
I'm stoked that Bleach is back, but I'm NOT stoked about every one and their mother making a video about every little thing. We got ONE chapter of a potential continuation and people are trying to debate Ichika vs Kazui.
People debating where Ichigo's dual blades went, when we LITERALLY WATCHED HIM MERGE THEM INTO HIS CLEAVER in TYBW, the same cleaver which, when his hollow powers were removed, was revealed to be just his Shikai with a buff. People trying to come up with all these fancy theories like "Oh so his Shikai was his Bankai all long?" "What if his shikai sword is actually his base now?" Instead of the literal, most logical conclusion of, maybe his shikai is.... wait for it.... his Shikai. We have yet to see Ichigo's post TYBW Bankai IMO.

If Fullbring Ichigo was REALLY stronger than Dangai Ichigo, Y'all think Orihime and Chad would even be able to stand within his presence in these scenes? In TYBW Urahara had to juice them on Ripoff Royal Realm (as he does with almost everything) food to get them anywhere close to Ichigo's level once he re-claimed a similar power level to his Dangai form. These people assume Orihime and Chad can just become a transcendent level from fighting basic ass hollows in KT?

This video left a few things out. For one, the reason Ginjo got so strong in CFYOW isn't because he trained with Ganju like Bleach Hub jokes, but that it's revealed he has a part of the Soul King inside of him, and given the Soul King is the most powerful being the Bleachverse has ever seen when Ginjo taps into that small part of the Soul Kings power inside him it boosts his power to a degree only top tier Bleach characters can reach. However, Ginjo wasn't as powerful as he is at the end of CFYOW as he was in Fullbring arc nor in the early parts of CFYOW, it's only at the very end of the novel where Ginjo is made aware he has some of the Soul King in him does he tap into it, prior to that he was nowhere near that level of power.
In Fullbring arc, he was close to but still below Fullbring arc Ichigo and Fullbring arc Ichigo is nowhere near as strong as his end of series self. In fact, in CFYOW it's implied that base Ginjo is probably equal to released Grimmjow in power, so not close to the elite characters like Shunsui, Toshiro and EOS Byakuya and Yoruichi in power. But after he's made aware he has part of the Soul King inside him and his true potential, he taps into that power and gets way stronger. However, his Getsuga isn't said to be "equal" to Ichgo's strongest but "rivals" it. It's also stated Ginjo is below Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi as it's said those three could certainly beat/kill Hikone in a fight while Ginjo could "put up a decent fight", hinting that while Ginjo may be able to swap hands with top tiers like Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi he'd certainly lose to them in a fight. Also, that Getsuga Tensho Ginjo fires at Tokinada which is said to "rival Ichigo's strongest" is blocked and deflected by Tokinada's own attack, and Tokinada is stated to be equal in raw spirit power to EOS Byakuya and Yoruichi, and then Tokinada manages to restrain Ginjo. And even when Ginjo does manage to hit Tokinada with his Getsuga, while Tokinada gets heavily injured by the attack he does survive, and at that point Tokinada was already heavily injured and weakened as Shunsui, Shinji and Hisagi had worked together to cut his swordarm off.
So you can either look at this as Byakuya, Yoruichi and characters like Shunsui and Toshiro whom are roughly equal to those two in power (it's hinted that Yoruichi and Shunsui are more or less equal in raw power but because Shunsui has hax and she doesn't she's at a disadvantage if they ever fought) being much closer to God tier characters like Ichigo and Aizen than we thought since Ginjo isn't all that much stronger than them according to what I just mentioned, or you can take it as Ginjo isn't as close in power to Ichigo and Aizen as it may imply and that in truth he's only around the same level/tier as Byakuya, Yoruichi, Shunsui and Toshiro but below the likes of Kenpachi, Ichigo and Aizen and that Getsuga he threw out which "rivalled" Ichigo's may have been a one off. Either way, it just proofs how wacky Bleach powerscaling is.
Yeah the strongest Getsuga is just a mistranslation and i still don't he can put a decent fight against Byakuya, Adult Toshiro

I really like the episode where beyakuya kills sukushima even when sukishima put memories on him . Its a great reference when biyakuya was going to execute rukia because she broke the law. Showing how complete biyakuya resolve is. Even if u r his friend or whatever he don't give a fuck he will kill you 😂 if he need to.

Just a correction, Dangai Ichigo is not just a 3 month training Ichigo, he's relative to True Shikai Ichigo. Why? Dangai Ichigo is in a early stage of fusion with Zangetsu, ALL of Zangetsu. Wich means that besides shinigami and hollow powers, he is also tapping on his quincy powers. The 3 month wasn't of training, it was of Ichigo trying to get Zangetsu (or Tensa Zangetsu if you want to be specific) to teach him the mugetsu, wich he did by giving Ichigo all of his power when stabbing him.
I get it for cfyow Ginjo but idk if I'd confidently be able to say that Ginjo would be able to take that same aizen that Dangai Ichigo was slapping around.

dangai ichigo isnt just ichigo with three months of training and fullbring ichigo does not surpass dangai. dangai ichigo is when ichigo fuses with his zanpakuto and it merges woth his arm. achieving a bond with your zanpakuto to where it merges with your arm is a transcendent state of shinigami power. in dangai form fourth form and fifth form aizen still couldnt sense ichigos reiatsu and ichigo only needed to use to final getsuga tensho so he could weaken aizen otherwise he couldnt undo aizens fifth form without using all of his powers in one attack. by saying fullbring ichigo is stronger than dangai means that when ginjo takes ichigos powers and becomes equal to ichigo then he would be stronger than fourth and fifth form aizen and would be a being way above transcending hollows and shinigami

And while you are correct, Fullbring arc Byakuya is stronger than Arrancar arc Byakuya, Tsukishima knew all of his moves and exactly how they worked. So it’s not like Tsukishima and Byakuya were blunt force attacking each other.
And Tsukishima wasn’t going all out against Ginjo either, he was integral to his plan. So basically it’s Yammy>2XKenpachi/Byakuya>>>>Tsukishima>Base Ginjo.
I personally put Ginjo at mid Espada, above Nnoitra, and about Harribel level. And saying Yammy is the strongest Espada is debatable but it doesn’t really matter.
Edit: completely forgot about Ginjo’s bankai, and I’m specifically talking about Fullbring arc Ginjo. With Bankai he’s definitely contender for stronger than Espada but I think Ulquiorra and Yammy still beat him.
On another topic, Fullbring Ichigo>Dangai really doesn’t fit at all, and Dangai being only 3 months of training is incorrect. He fuses his Hollow and Shinigami (and maybe Quincy, idk) and becomes transcendent. And sure, the Dangai form is shown when Ginjo says that Fullbring will surpass his Shinigami form, however that doesn’t mean it will surpass Dangai.
Dangai is barely even shinigami in the first place. And Ginjo is prob just gassing Fullbring up, and making Ichigo more desperate. Also, you saying that Fullbring Ichigo (the one that loses to Ginjo) is above Dangai means that Shikai Ichigo in the beginning of the war arc is significantly stronger than Hogyoku Aizen.
Making that random Quincy he fought at the beginning like mid captain level, it just doesn’t make sense.
Fullbring Ichigo is like as strong as Ichigo post Grimmjow fight. Then the bankai form afterwards is somewhere above Stripe Masked Ichigo.

I think Ginjo, Zukishima and Full Bringer Ichigo get Down played for several reasons.
1#-Most Bleach fans have only seen the Anime, not read Manga. And thus have not seen Full Bringer Ichigo´s full power.
He destroyed Ginjo pretty easily in my opinion, Ginjo only had a Chance because he stole Ichigos power.
And most people have not read Can't fear your own world.( My self included) or don't consider it to be cannon, in no small part due to the shear INSANITY of the power scaling in those novels. The author goes a little crazy with the power levels.

3#- Dangai a long with Mugetsu are presented to be one of Ichigo´s ultimate forms:
-The long hair, the taller Stature, and serious and calm demeanor( Compared to before, when Ichigo was scared of Aizen)
-The fusing of his Zampakuto with his Arm( Like Aizen), which suggest a level of Evolution that surpasses what is possible for Shinigami( Acording to Aizen).
-The Fact that not even Aizen could feel Ichigo´s level of power.
-The ease with which Ichigo was able to dominate Hogyoku Aizen in physical combat.
-The massive destruction that he cause while fighting Hogyoku Aizen.( Just by Clashing Swords) And immense durability that Ichigo showed.( He withstood what was basically a Nuclear blast to his face, with only his arm being a burned)
-Aizen had to evolve even further just to be able to Damage Ichigo with his strongest attack.
And by that point Aizen could still not feel Ichigo´s power level.
#4-Full Bringer Ichigo did not show that level of power ( A level similar to Dangai) in the anime and thus most people assume Ginjo and Ichigo are really weak.
Personally I though that Ginjo was weak, then he got strong after using Ichigo´s power, and then got destroyed once Ichigo Used Bankai.

We need to take things from the novels with a grain of salt cos it's not even written by Kubo and don't even know if it's canon or not.

I have CFYOW vol 3 in front of me right now. Kubo wrote an afterword where he states that "this work is mapped out to be the final novelization of BLEACH, and it is a grand work...".
That sounds like approval to me, or at the very least, a thumbs up.
Furthermore, in Narita's afterword, he talks about his conversations with Kubo about CFYOW. I'm not going to spend an hour copying what he wrote verbatim, but it's very clear that Kubo was involved throughout the entirety of the story's creation. He answered lore questions he didn't include in the main story, decided on Hisagi as the protagonist, and looked over and APPROVED the story, which includes who fights who, and the fact that it picks up directly after the TYBW, a fact that is at the core of CFYOW's story.
Obviously, if Kubo ever does come out and say CFYOW isn't canon then I'll eat my words, but there's really nothing outlandish enough in it that would cause me to write it off as fanfic.

I’m not arguing the power level here but dangai ichigo isn’t just 3 month of training. That form is ichigo accepting everything about himself and old zangetsu stopping blocking his powers. Dangai can be argued is ichigo true shikai with the horn since that is ichigo fully using all expect of his soul than surpass it with his true bankai. But when ichigo regain his powers old man zangetsu was back to his old tricks again and ichigo didn’t know he was part quicing so fullbring is stronger than hallow ichigo vs uquiora at full power this form shouldn’t surpass dangai since he was fighting aizen who was the closest to becoming the soul king at that point.

Gingo is not on dangai ichigo level because ichigo was not close to even being on his dangai level. It was until the Quincy arc where ywach told ichigo that he finally regain the power he used to beat aizen. So this means full bring ichigo was not on dangai level. And if this was the case, the ginjo is not on dangai ichigo level.

Let's turn this into a Ginjo appreciation post: He *is* a homie. He just got a bad hand in life. He basically had to walk so Ichigo could run as he was in a foreign position new to Seireitei so I can't blame a level of mistrust. I always associate this guy with Ramen, I don't know how well heated it'd be but it's the thought that counts. He's claimed a "bad actor" so while under Book of The End that's likely genuine. In the Christmas Event for BBS last Year Riruka wanted to have a party but no one really planned so she kinda just gave up, later Drip King returned with a cake to start an equivalent of a Christmas Party specifically for Riruka. Has his whole thing where indirectly forgives Jushiro, the source of his hatred and actions through a misunderstanding. Basically adopted Tsukushima which lead to his idolization of him, it's implied he did the same for everyone else or at least gave them a home.
Also a theoretical I mentioned in Anniversary Aizen I wanted to bring up again to perhaps get thoughts: Even if he didn't theoretically train to get stronger, what's stopping him from continuously absorbing power from Soul Reapers and other beings? I theorize he started with only Ichigo to eliminate a major threat before he "put himself out there" to kill two birds.

Ginjo didn't continue absorbing other people's power in the Rukongai. The Gotei would've went after him, and he wouldn't have been allowed to stay in the Shiba house if that happened. You could chalk it up to 2 things. 1 is that Ginjo was always that strong, but only lost to Ichigo because of a mental nerf. They were equal in power until Ginjo had the inner monologue about Ichigo trying to understand him, and then literally right after the monologue he went from being even to getting smoked.
But how does matching FB Bankai Ichigo = Soul King level like the novel? Well, if you take the 'previous power' that the Lost Agent Arc was talking about surpassing as Final Getsuga/Mugetsu Ichigo, it was stated that Mugetsu Ichigo was an attacked that surpassed all things in existence in a guide or something. That would include the weakened/sealed Soul King, who's still strong enough to hold all the realms together. So it would be like Bankai Ginjo = FB Bankai Ichigo > FB Shikai Ichigo > Complete FB Ichigo >= Mugetsu Ichigo > All things in existence at the point of the FKT arc, including the sealed SK.
Beyond that, FB Bankai Ichigo was able to lightly injure base Yhwach with a Reiatsu burst while Ichigo himself was heavily injured and fatigued. This same Yhwach was strong enough to hold the Reiatsu of Yamamoto's realm destroying Bankai casually, and Yhwach himself stated that he surpassed the Soul King's power later on before even absorbing the SK. Not saying FB Bankai Ichigo is as strong as Yhwach, but being able to damage him meant he was strong enough to overcome that passive Reiatsu barrier that Kenpachi spoke of in the SS arc. And seeing how Yama's passive reiatsu is strong enough to nuke the SS by accident while actively holding back, and Yhwach surpasses that, and potentially surpasses the weakened SK, who can passively hold the Bleach cosmos together....in a very weird and roundabout way, you can scale Ginjo that high
The second, simpler method is just saying that Ginjo got a Soul Zenkai after fighting with Ichigo. Since he was a human that was in a kishi body, and just got killed by a zanpakuto and sent to the SS, rather than 'dying' like how we usually would think, Ginjo just went from having a kishi/physical body to a reishi/spiritual body rather than this dramatic death and rebirth process. Basically how Ichigo uses the badge to transfer to his soul body but...permament. Rather than him dying and reincarnating as another kind of soul, it would be like he just lost the fight and got a soul zenkai
