KEYS To KO - How Fury Systematically Destroyed Whyte's Boxing Style!

- Welcome to Keys To KO! Today we’ll be looking at how Tyson the Gypsy King Fury systematically dismantled interim champ Dillian Whyte's boxing style to retain his championship. Knockouts aren't usually just one thing, they're built up to during the entire fight. Let's look at how.

So I'd like to point out that Timothy Bradley needs to commentate more fight! He's not only entertaining, he explained a few of the points I went into here in real time in a way that was really easily accessible to the audience. Make sure to stick around for the last key to the knockout though, the commentators didn't notice that one (neither did I the first viewing) and it shows just how much of a next level boxer Fury is!

He’s an excellent commentator
Fury is a lump, team Usyk all day.
You have one of the best channels period. Very insightful
Fury pushed Whyte onto the canvas.
A breakdown of Buster Douglas's gameplan in his knockout of Mike Tyson would be interesting.
Long count when Buster hit the canvas.
@@user-xr1xs1zy2z it isn't a 10 second count, its a 10 count by the referee, which is why they don't use a stopwatch
@@user-xr1xs1zy2z u mean when a 1 dimensional slugger meets a jab?
@@brunch8051, yep, and the ref started counting late.
YES
Physical recovery, 6 weeks
Psychological recovery, 6 months
They both got paid.
Ability to challenge for the title again? Completely neutralized
@@cynot71Yep, that’s what usually happens after two people have a sanctioned boxing match 👍
I don't think whyte recovered if he got caught again using PED's
Getting put on your arse by a boxing novice in Saudi Arabia, 6 seconds
PLEASE keep making more Keys to KO videos, Christian.
Not only do they illustrate great technique, but they also help highlight lesser known and/or appreciate boxers and their moments of brillance that ppl might have overlooked.
Discombobulate really was the only fitting verb
*verb
@@piggypoo cheers bro
I was in attendance in Wembley for this one, such a treat to see the fight covered by you. Amazing channel, keep up the good work mate !
The continuous left jab sets everything up with Fury's method, undermining Wilders' entire strategy. Fascinating
Everything from froch v Taylor would be cracking. The whole build up with Taylor responding “who?” When asked about Froch. That made it all the sweeter.
White made a mistake by turning the fight into a brawl so it's difficult for the ref to caution Fury for mauling and that got him exhausted fast.
Fury did utilize his edge quite well. It was a good fight.
I like those videos as they convey a fight very accurately.
Would be really interested in a making of video, or hearing of how much time you put into these reviews. Breaking down in such detail it's really great. How many hours do you spend studying the footage, I'd say clearly in slow-mo to catch everything. Great work and really appreciate the breakdowns.
Been watching all your videos for the last few years and it's unfortunate the weird shit you have to deal with regarding maybe other content creators etc, You deserve to be successful with on the platform with the amount of effort in every video and it shows.
These Key To KO's videos I can make in about 2 solid work days and that's mostly sorting out the clips because I'm at the point now where I can pick up on the technique and tactics stuff on 1 to 2 viewings. My other videos take about 5 to 10 days, depending on the length because there's a lot more dynamics involved and if it's a technique breakdown I'll be going through every fight that guy has available to pick out footage.
Very good, I fully understand everything you say but acutally picking it out in real time haha na. I'd class myself as fairly casual but an enthusiast. I understand the concepts but for the likes of yourself that picks up on them in real time. For example I like to think I can fairly pick up whilst looking at fights who is wining etc pressure, solid punches and tactis but actually transfering that to elequiant discussion is beyond me cheers.
@@TheModernMartialArtist beautiful analysis, top notch 🥊
Were you singing at the end, Christian? lol
As a side note, it seems whyte is allergic to uppercuts, all his KO losses have come by the way of an uppercut
Hard to land an uppercut from the outside against upper echelon competition. I can imagine even Whyte could counter a weak outside uppercut. You have to be strategic with it. Only guy I can think of who landed them consistently is JM Marquez and even he got countered at times with it. I bet Fury was setting him up for it.
Also came to say this. Everyone knew Fury was going to be searching for the uppercut after Whyte's previous KO loss. Fury just found the opening. It wasn't a spontaneous idea due to Whyte's new guard.
Great breakdown well done 👍🏻
Hope you do a breakdown on Wladimir Klitschko and how he differs from Vitali. He always improved after every fight, doing better in every rematch and had a amazing streak against top level opposition. (beat a ton of champs and undefeated challengers, usually easily) The greatest hw champ you did not cover already (Tyson, Lewis, Louis, Holyfield, Holmes, Foreman, Ali...) it's kind of overdue really.
All of these new giant heavyweights are why Shaquil Oneal needs to become a boxing ref.
That ref tugging on Tysons arm trying to separate those 2 was just a bad look.
Another fantastic video
Can you cover arguello vs pryor by any chance?
Modern Martial Artist can you make a video on Dmitry Boviols style and why its so effective?
Great video, should do a breakdown on masato next
This breakdown was more entertaining than the fight itself.
love your videos
make a video about the glory grand prix!
great video, i would like to see a breakdown about carlos monzon
Did anyone else at 6:03 also heard "His solution..." and immediately thought we were going to talk about how the fuck would you ref that shit? Like, I stopped looking at Fury and was looking at the ref thinking "bruh, how do you even stop those guys?"
The dude had a punch skim him at one point trying to break them up. Screw that hahaha
If your going to ref a fight you know what your getting into. You do the job straight & don't take any shit from the fighters. Size difference or not. Explain everything out before the fight to both fighters & teams so there's no complaints if you have to take points to get a fighter to listen.
The best refs let the fighters fight, only get involved when you NEED to. An don't take any shit either
That thumbnail looks like the ref is GIVING it to Whyte in tonsil hockey 🤣🤣
Bros was having an intimate moment in front of everyone
It turned into a UFC match jesus. More Keys to KO on Mike Tyson Plz.
If you could make a video about Chingiz Allazov that'd be awesome. He's P4P #1 right now and has a super exciting and awesome style.
Tyson Fury brought me back into boxing after the Wilder fights
Chavez vs Taylor 2. That was a pretty good underrated fight.
You could maybe do a Video on the incredible Science behind Feints to exploit the Brain's automatic responses which cause the muscles to twitch and leave the Opponent "frozen" for a split second, and how Boxers, MMA & other Fighters are applying this.
With, of course, the few Fighters that already fully Mastered this long before it became widely known & taught in MMA!
James Toney is a master of feints. Same with Dominic Cruz.
How about a video about Demsey vs Tunney 1 and 2 and the whole "long count" controversy.
For a knockout story, you asked about, how about Marciano vs Walcott.
One more request, Archie Moore.
I think the whole long count controversy doesn't really pass muster when you actually read up on it, it's a great story of the two fighters though. If you type in "Kings of the Ring rare documentary" you can see some of their story as well as other heavyweight greats. I though Fury was great in the Wilder fights but should the ref not have called it off when even Fury admitted he was unconscious on the ground for a few seconds.
The only thing that would've made this better is if there was some snippets of Big John Fury being Big John Fury thrown in for no good reason.
I would love to see some post fight analysis of Crawford vs Spence
deffo more heavyweight action! maybe some rocky marciano?
Tyson Fury has got such an awkward, messy kind of style. Hes always pushing off after a punch or extending his arms in defense or jerking his head around in odd ways. He makes it work for him though. Hes also bigger which wears his opponents down after awhile.
My favorite example of a fighter completely dismantling another style has to be Barrera’s win over Prince Naseem, which has already been covered well on this channel.
You should break down Fury getting bullied by Ngannou.
Uysk!
This was one of the most gangster knockouts in recent memory
Ngannou also please!! Would appreciate that
Canelo vs Kovalev is will be great fight for thats kind of video 🔥❤️
Your take on Jose Luis Castillo and Diego corrales.
Fury's power is weird... Feels like it comes from accuracy and timming alone...
well I'm by no means an expert but Fury is a boxer in preference, so in my mind at least that kind of tracks since he's not squaring up and dropping his weight for big power punches.
@@HellBlazerMNE07ah, I wasn't saying he has accurate power punches. what was meant is that he doesn't seem to throw haymakers in general. its a strategy and countering game with him,
and his size along with skill seem to give it unexpected stopping power
@@HellBlazerMNE07 makes sense. He's a long reaching dude and doesn't seems to be a fan of leg day. But many of his big victories lately seem to come from his opponent creating problems and then solving them and often to the bewilderment of said opponent (sometimes to himself when looking at his face lol)
Please do a Floyd Mayweather jr vs Manny Pacquiao breakdown please 🥺?.
I got usyk, unless his legs are gone to age.
Usyk is slowing down physically. Can see it over his last 5 fights.
Think the key is keeping his weight down sub 220lbs and his lower body strong.
Seeing Fury look so dominant here yet struggle immensely with Francis really makes me think twice. Besides Teofimo, Fury might be the most bipolar in boxing today.
Fury is the real deal, he just didn't take Francis seriously is all. On the other hand, I think Teofimo is highly overrated. He punches hard and that's about it. He has absolutely zero defense and the fact that he got completely outboxed by George Kambosos says it all.
Strong disagree, Fury probably didn't train that hard but his days of fancy movement are all gone. He relies on nothing but the clinch and lean. Fury's weight is the only thing he has and he ran into a guy who was much stronger than him and who could toss him around. Fury had no backup and shows his limitations as a fighter.
There are two versions of Fury. Crackhead Fury and Punch Perfect Fury. This was the latter.
Please do Illia vs Volk
💥
TF deserved the win but the push at the end was a bit dirty.
How come you didn't include a breakdown of his push after the uppercut? Seemed like the most dominant technique of the knockdown 😂
I thought the ref should've deducted a point for that push. Then maybe that would've stopped the MMA wrestling match and we could've seen an actual boxing match instead. The most I can watch of a Tyson Fury fight is a highlight compilation video. It's just plain embarrassing to watch the guy: pushing, slapping, grappling, bitchslapping -- he'll only do boxing as a last resort! 😂
Tysons play with Francis should have been to say no to the fight 😂
Day 2 of asking the modern martial artist to make a video on Lakhin Wassandasit the Thai Tyson
I have Usyk I think because he moves more than other heavyweight’s Tyson is gonna have a tough time, who do you think will win.
Well Fury moves pretty well too so I think he'll be okay.
@@jstos3675 The fancy footed Fury that fought Klitschko is long gone. He can't move like that anymore
@@cobb6001 he can still move like that for a few rounds and his ability to slip punches is still intact.
I think fury can still move too but not as long as he used to be able to.
Is anyone expecting Fury to wear the classic gold kronk trunks on May 18th?
Fury is a genius. Look how much Whyte is off balance in this fight.
Fury's fights more resemble Kaiju battles than the sweet science. Whyte in southpaw resembles my cat when I'm about to give him a bath.
Yeah, I hate it when my cat elbows me in the throat and punches me in the back of the head when I try to pick him up.
Dafuq? Are we watching the same video? That “dirty” fighting is very scientific in the way that Whyte was neutralizing Fury’s better boxing plan and power, all while getting a few digs in his ribs and head. Tyson answered with his own dirty techniques in the clench but to CREATE distance and set up his combos for the KO. I mean to me it’s obvious but perhaps your just making a joke and I’m too dense and uncultured to get it. 😂
7:46 So no one is going to talk about Tyson pushing white down and not actually knocking him down?
Yup. You will find that Tyson use underhanded tactics when he fights.
He literally wasn't, that was a knock out.
Hug them until they get tired of carrying your weight, the fighter.
Why the ref kissing White in the thumbnail 😳
Uskye
Tyson slightly pushed him just after the uppercut if watch it carefully!
Slightly? That was a pretty clear shove
He did but Whyte was already in lala land.
No one saying anything about the push.
whyte landed less punches on fury than tom schwartz did 😂 and matchroom casuals thought whyte was gonna ko fury 🤣🤣🤣
You still bashing your bishop over that fight you absolute sad case 🤦🏼♂️
Back when Fury wasn't a joke.
Fury is still one of the best fighters out there.
Check hook is cool and all but if you can throw a decent uppercut you’re going to knock out Whyte
Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier 2
Discombobulate
Out of all the fights you could choose to break down; why this?
It's not like I dislike your analysis, just seems wasted on this matchup both stylistically & competitively.
Cause Fury draws views. I don't like the guy at all but Fury is marketable
Whyte threw his one chance away by turning up southpaw. Not saying Whyte would have won but he chose wrong tactic..as for "systematically"?? Whyte got done by Povetkin uppercut and AJ uppercut..whyte don't like uppercuts
Whyte is such a bum in the ring, i have no idea why he is considered top level.
On Usyk Fury, I have a Usyk UD 12 wins over Hrgovic
First First comment
Who’s kissing in the thumbnail?
Yeah but who cares? Whyte isn't a threat to anyone, and Fury is doing his best to make himself irrelevant
i ate tyson fury
you got a beee on yo atttt
So whats the key to dealing with such a feint heavy style?
Take the initiative!
I have Usyk on points.
Fury has a decent chance, of course.
*_This fight is a sad reflection of the sorry state of professional boxing, at WBC World Heavyweight Championship level!_* ... *_With an out of shape Tyson Fury, heavily focused on keeping his Gypsy King shorts prominently positioned over his undies, in line with his old school mindset and Dillian Whyte appearing to be busily engaged in firing wild swings at imaginary mosquitoes, potentially fearful of being beaten by the little suckers, out of any prospects of winning the championship title_* ... *_dismally, becoming clearly unbalanced in the process! Surely this farcical situation must come to an end soon, to avoid any further embarrassment for the sport of boxing and to restore punters interest going forward! Cheers!_* 😁😊🌟👊✨
This, 👍.
I got Usyk winning if Fury ever get's in the ring.
Fury is a really bad champion, 3 title defences in 9 years of being lineal heavyweight champ is sad.
lol imagine being a fan of Fury
First
Fury turned his cheek just enough so Whyte was millimeters out of reach. The only other fighter I've seen do that is ofc Ali
Boring
Kinda helps that Whyte was a shot fighter and had already been KO'd by uppercuts twice before this fight. Fury is overrated in all honesty.
