lili lala 1) The man on the left just talked, ate food, and shopped on his date. 2) The man in the middle called the dogs bitches, because female dogs are called bitches. 3) The humor is based om how these guys seem like they're from the hood, yet are doing gentrified, hipster, stereotypically 'white people things.'
Bro I feel u his happening in bush wick williamburgs and around the south side shit is getting o of hand with all these hipster motherfuckers they took over the northside
IZ FUMBLES Don't forget the Hasidic Jews. They are slowly taking over black neighborhoods. Also I've never really considered Queens ghetto with the exception of Jamaica, Le Frak, and areas of Corona... Astoria and LI city seem like regular immigrant neighborhoods.
Vijay Danushkodi Long Island City is where Queensbridge projects is located (the largest housing project in North America) and Ravenswood is in Astoria. Far Rockaway is hood too.
Tone Riggz my family has been in astoria since the 20's used to be a tough but safe and hardworking blue collar area, know i see hipsters and rich boys from CT with their boat shoes and dads paying appartment its sad
Alison Emmary Brooklyn born and raised to I was raised in Bushwick went to ps 274 I went to 162 for junior high and I went to 111 for high school i went to ebc trust me the hood ain't the hood they made it for white people
Loop Time I'm not saying go back where ya came from I'm just saying it's all we got we live there for a reason besides being born and raised in these neighborhoods they are affordable for us low income people and lower class people it's are home since day one we don't go to rich neighborhoods trying to live there for one we couldn't afford it and for 2 if we did you rich people will find. A way to get us out bad enough we struggle in our own neighborhoods but ten times more now since you hipster move in everything is expensive rent has went up and they put stores in our neighborhood we don't shop at or can afford to take us out and bring it guys in you guys have upstate you guys have Manhattan and now you want our borough to ...rich people want everything u guys have the money And resources to live anywhere we don't so come and kick us out of our homes
I'm sick and tired of niggas like you that believe a certain borough is for a certain race. Look, the Italians were in Brooklyn way before us, nigga. We learned that shit in school. If you fucken paid attention you'd realize that.
Loved it, but was there one black woman in it? I mean even an extra. In real life, where I see black men, I see black women. I mean its true. We really exist and even date sometimes. I'm confrused! And yes I know there's an R in that word. That's precisely how I feel. Lol. At any rate, the skit is hilarious.
Where?????? Hells kitchen was the first in NYC to be gentrified and it was a notorious Irish hood with mob ties!!!!!! Most of the white Italian and Irish hoods went first by these gay ass yuppies and hipsters!!!!!!! My uncle is literally the last Irish hells kitchen resident left!!!!! They even try to change its name to Clinton!!!!!! Fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@MrWhite-pn7ui first of all people like you need a little reality check about that . They were populated by whites until they all moved to the suburbs because they didn't want brown and black people around . And the only reason these hipsters wanted to move to these neighborhoods in the first place is because he's lame boring neighborhoods in these gated communities have zero culture . But yet you want to kick the people out the actually bring culture AKA Hispanic and black people
So...why don't yall move to the Midwest? There's a ton of room out here, the cost of living is lower, and it's safer. The people are friendly. Really, were not as racist out here as you may have been led to believe.
A lot of people don't get this skit because they either not black (minority) and/or have lived in the inner-cities & seen the gentrification that is going on....and for a lot of folks are hurt...because the hood ain't the same no more for better or for worse. But u see the gentrification in Bklyn, Philly, Balt., and definitely in DC now...Miss Lilly's everywhere!!! smh
aaaliyah phresh excuse me, but there are no black/ethnic neighborhoods in britain. everything in britain belongs to the white man. there are only white neighborhoods that the white man generously allows you to live in. they can do whatever they want with them. and you'll live wherever you're told. what you should be more concerned about is the massive amount of black/ethnic crime and welfare abuse in britain.
Because we never owned the hood. We just rented. The ones who owned brownstone lost it to their crackhead kids who didn't pay the property tax. 8 million stories...
Man, this is soooo true! I hadn't been back to the BK in a while and when I went up there this Christmas, nothing was the same! I'm talking coffee shops, boutiques, wineries and even a Trader Joe's! It was confusing as hell! I both knew where I was and DIDN'T know where I was at the same time!!! It was both funny and sad. Definitely a contradiction! This skit totally nailed it!!!
MakeWayForCJ I dont this this skit is what ur comment means or reflects upon.....i think it mostly reflects on how people think the ghetto just talk about and wanna do hood shit but in reality when the kick it with us "hoodlums" and listen to the shit we actually talk about they will be surprised.....but then again thats just me cuz me and my homies post up a lot but people only think the worst of us
MakeWayForCJ So absolutely true. I'm from Bklyn (Flatbush area). I took my kids there one summer, and same as you, I knew where I was, but yet didn't. The once upon time rough areas are now smoothed out. Prospect Place--Damn! Jews walking around! Oh, god! Downtown Bklyn??? Let me say, we're not in the hood anymore. Lol!
This gentrification thing...I just wish it would benefit the original residents; meaning keeping the good people intact in their neighborhood. Why we couldn't, back then, get that kind of support and/or that investment? We could've had our cake and eat it too.
Speaking of Trader Joe’s, can someone please tell me why there’s a Starbucks on Lafayette Avenue? The neighborhoodiest neighborhood does not need a Starbucks.
I thought this skit was funny and accurate. I am happy Jay Pharaoh moved on, but he and Kenen worked well together. Uh, anyone else notice that there weren't any Black Women in this skit...
they will try. but the bronx will always be the bummiest place on the planet. the east 180s are fucked up, the heights and that whole area. but thats just one spot. id live in woodlawn tho.
It would be gentrification if they were talking about where they were going to move to after their landlord kicked them out to raise rents for the changing demographic. This is the Disney version of gentrification where everyone is the beneficiary of the social change and some of the neighborhood's identity is preserved...
the sad thing is that i grew up in this hood and it's really turning into jus like the joke is saying and i domt even remember what my own hood looks like anymore.......its now 2017!!!
I was born and raised in Bushwick in the fifties and early sixties and witnessed first hand the changing neighborhood...except in reverse...... This piece is a work of art!
Would you believe it’s gotten much worse? Go check out Denizen building luxury apartment, complex in Bushwick. It’s like a hipster frat house dream over there!😂
I am a Brooklynite and have never seen the block they are on! I left Brooklyn for this very reason... I can not afford it and it is far tooo gentrified. No culture left
What the heck are you talking about. Please confirm if you lived in 5 different parts of Brooklyn before the age of 26. I have been working since the age of 14. In my community and for my community. Played in the sprinklers and never did drugs and came home before the street lights came on. We love our community the only people who didn't work while I lived in Brooklyn that I knew were disable, vets, and elderly. The elderly actually took care of us watched us through the window. It's people like you that lack the social skills to understand the beauty in what made Brooklyn great. You think building Duane Reade, Whole foods and Starbucks are the best thing that happen to Brooklyn. No No and it was the people and their morals. If you would like to speak to me about demographics and numbers, we can but an annual income of 15,000 or less didn't mean there was poverty it means the may have been content. I for one feel extremely offended that you believe you know what you are talking about.
"Creating fatherless homes" elaborate on that ! What do you have against single mothers. A father can be anyone who can be a guardian to a child. You are giving too much value to the name father to classify if someone was raised correctly. Assuming someone was raised by both parents each making 75,000 a year, that there life would be better. Wrong! More money more expenses more space more materials, inflation, so on. I am not sure who you are but if you knew how much healthy fun we had you won't be so quick to judge. By the way New Yorker's are hard working and creative. Once we leave the state we may get salary increases because of our skills experience and personality. Your could take your student loans and toss it.
I don't think people understand what culture is anymore, because most people are stupid. Also, don't you think a child would benefit more from having two parents as opposed to just one? Do you think a person is more or less likely to obtain a higher education if they have two parents?
I am born and raised Brooklyn.
This is an accurate description of Bushwick these days.

lili lala 1) The man on the left just talked, ate food, and shopped on his date. 2) The man in the middle called the dogs bitches, because female dogs are called bitches. 3) The humor is based om how these guys seem like they're from the hood, yet are doing gentrified, hipster, stereotypically 'white people things.'
Natcho macho taco lit
whoever wrote this is fucking funny as hell.
Lol, too funny!!!
Hahahahahaha 'whad else ya gonna pair wine with, air?'
Right 😂😂
Kareem and his life partner lol
This shit is happening in Astoria and Long Island City in Queens too. FOH with the hipster transplants.
Bro I feel u his happening in bush wick williamburgs and around the south side shit is getting o of hand with all these hipster motherfuckers they took over the northside
Tone Riggz We lost Gowanus and Boerum Hill over here, 15 years ago this shit was bad now I see white folks zooming past on bikes
Vijay Danushkodi
Long Island City is where Queensbridge projects is located (the largest housing project in North America) and Ravenswood is in Astoria. Far Rockaway is hood too.
Tone Riggz my family has been in astoria since the 20's used to be a tough but safe and hardworking blue collar area, know i see hipsters and rich boys from CT with their boat shoes and dads paying appartment its sad
Wait, but there actually IS an artisanal mayonnaise store in Prospect Heights. Not a joke.
So sad....
cant front, that coco rendition was fire
Breion Bethel who is the singer?
It's like this in Chicago too! Except for all the parts that weren't about shooting people.
Modern yuppies trying to make crooklyn look like Westport ct
#AntiGentification #Williamsburg #Brooklyn #BornandRaised Give us back our borough!!!!!
Loop Time but I get it people with money feel entitled to everything
I'm sick and tired of niggas like you that believe a certain borough is for a certain race. Look, the Italians were in Brooklyn way before us, nigga. We learned that shit in school. If you fucken paid attention you'd realize that.
Alison Emmary btw your gorgeous
Loved it, but was there one black woman in it? I mean even an extra. In real life, where I see black men, I see black women. I mean its true. We really exist and even date sometimes. I'm confrused! And yes I know there's an R in that word. That's precisely how I feel. Lol. At any rate, the skit is hilarious.
This is the funniest snl skit I've seen in a while. Diversification has serve them well
Joe Stevens hey when you commented why does your UA-cam name have a check mark but you only have 35 subs??
you are misguided n misinformed 💯💯💯
HATE GENTRIFICATION!!!!! Great skit though!
Most of those neighborhoods were built and populated by whites to begin with. Who the hell are you to claim them as your own?
The paint and wine bit SENT ME!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And he's so dedicated. His face was everything.
you actin like somebody put gluten in ya muffin
"Streets is talkn thats y u gettin that bread rn" 😂🤣
I was born and raised in bushwick this is fucking hilarious when I was growing up it was the hood but now it’s all gentrified
This was hilarious. Especially the moment he tried to walk away with his bitches (dogs) after he shot something.
3:07 I am forever the brown and white puppy in the middle whenever a new trend starts and I don't get it yet.
So let me ask this: are people salty that a former American killing field is turning into a peaceful oasis of craft arts and useless trinkets?
2:20 ♫ I'm in love with the coco ♫ hahaha!
390h8er freaking best part!
NeoDragonFlame best
A lot of people don't get this skit because they either not black (minority) and/or have lived in the inner-cities & seen the gentrification that is going on....and for a lot of folks are
hurt...because the hood ain't the same no more for better or for worse.
Henny Oldman ignorance is bliss!
Kam Lifestyles I agree. the ignorance of non europeans thinking they belong in europe. it's horrible. that's why I always set them straight.
Not Baltimore have you been there it's all fucked up
Because we never owned the hood. We just rented. The ones who owned brownstone lost it to their crackhead kids who didn't pay the property tax. 8 million stories...
They need to do an 2017 version of this
This is basically Brooklyn in general.
Nah not east New York or anywhere near projects
The one dog that walked mostly backward after Kevin shot the guy and walked away made me laugh way harder than anything else.
"That's just Kareem and his life partner".....lmfao
Make one for Harlem and Bedstuy Brooklyn 😹😹
Can listen to this gang all day 😂
I miss Jay Pharoah!! 😭😭😭
That was culturally hysterical. I love the wine and cheese get together. Philadelphia USA
OMG, I just moved to Bushwick and I like it :)
Are you still in Bushwick?
@@jennifergersch9126 Geezus! Are you serious? That sounds....blasphemous.
"What else are you gonna pair wine with?"
Jack FC m 9
I thought this skit was funny and accurate. I am happy Jay Pharaoh moved on, but he and Kenen worked well together. Uh, anyone else notice that there weren't any Black Women in this skit...
Writing about gentrification, to an audience of others gentrifies notice that there was very little laughter.
I like that song by Brit. Coffee house sounding girl.
I say one thang to Biggie now, no one know where Brooklyn at anymore.
Is this a video about gentrification cuz it seems like it. I predict the Bronx is next on the list
elle emca Already happening, South Bronx.
***** www.wnyc.org/story/four-signs-south-bronx-gentrifying/
they will try. but the bronx will always be the bummiest place on the planet. the east 180s are fucked up, the heights and that whole area. but thats just one spot. id live in woodlawn tho.
elle emca it's in full swing here in queens, I want to die
It would be gentrification if they were talking about where they were going to move to after their landlord kicked them out to raise rents for the changing demographic.
This is the Disney version of gentrification where everyone is the beneficiary of the social change and some of the neighborhood's identity is preserved...
Why do ALL of these indie pop females sound the SAME??? 2:20
yea for real I hate that but then again alot of mumble rappers and R&b females sound the same too.
I think this is Ridgewood, not Bushwick.
the sad thing is that i grew up in this hood and it's really turning into jus like the joke is saying and i domt even remember what my own hood looks like anymore.......its now 2017!!!
I was born and raised in Bushwick in the fifties and early sixties and witnessed first hand the changing neighborhood...except in reverse......
This piece is a work of art!
One of the best sketches from SNL in a long long time.
Would you believe it’s gotten much worse? Go check out Denizen building luxury apartment, complex in Bushwick. It’s like a hipster frat house dream over there!😂
Kevin Hart was amazing in this one
That their *
The Block says St.Nicholas and Amsterdam. Thats Harlem
I don't think people understand what culture is anymore, because most people are stupid. Also, don't you think a child would benefit more from having two parents as opposed to just one? Do you think a person is more or less likely to obtain a higher education if they have two parents?
